Article exists
[edit]Hi, why have you again submitted a draft on a subject that already exists? If you wish to make changes to the existing article, you do it by editing that article directly, not by submitting revised versions of the same. -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 11:49, 4 December 2022 (UTC)
Managing a conflict of interest
[edit]Hello, Venessa Ferns. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on the page Chetan Bhagat, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:
- avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization, clients, or competitors;
- propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template);
- disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest#How to disclose a COI);
- avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam#External link spamming);
- do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.
Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. MB 13:57, 15 December 2022 (UTC)

[edit]You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Chetan Bhagat. This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.
Points to note:
- Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
- Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.
If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. AP 499D25 (talk) 09:19, 6 March 2023 (UTC)

. -- Deepfriedokra (talk) 16:46, 6 March 2023 (UTC)Hello Venessa Ferns. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.
Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are extremely strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.
Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Venessa Ferns. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Venessa Ferns|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}
. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. -- Deepfriedokra (talk) 16:46, 6 March 2023 (UTC)
Note that while you are blocked from editing articles, you aren't blocked from editing your talk page. So please take this opportunity to answer the above questions on your talk page. AP 499D25 (talk) 10:56, 7 March 2023 (UTC)

[edit]There is currently a discussion at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents regarding an issue with which you may have been involved. The thread is here. Thank you. BubbaJoe123456 (talk) 15:52, 5 June 2023 (UTC)
- I have been editing the page attaching valid links and citations so that it is easier for people to gain information all at one place. Yet, there seems to be an issue and all my changes are being constantly reversed without a solid reason. Every time I make an edit, the changes have been reversed. It is not like the information provided is incorrect or invalid. Just would want to know what is the exact reason behind this. Venessa Ferns (talk) 07:34, 11 July 2023 (UTC)
You've been blocked indefinitely until you respond to these issues on this page. --Golbez (talk) 17:36, 5 June 2023 (UTC)
