Unspecified source for Image:Deadpool gwen.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Deadpool gwen.jpg. I notice the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this file yourself, then there needs to be a justification explaining why we have the right to use it on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you did not create the file yourself, then you need to specify where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the file also doesn't have a copyright tag, then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. --Siva1979Talk to me 22:32, 19 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I added the link to Sonic CulT because, even though it's unreliable, they're the ones that decompiled the demo, that's where the images are found, and thus, that's the only citation one could possibly use. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Roybertito (talkcontribs)

Tails's "Love life"

[edit]

I've made a reply to your "fan characters are more fake than rumors" comment at Talk:Miles "Tails" Prower#Love Interest. Basically, I agree with you, but I'm positive that the fangirls out there will not. Of course, they're just being Mary-Sues, but I just felt that I had to mention all the weirdos on Fan Art Central. --Luigifan 01:46, 20 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

They're just, to say the least, obsessed with the game character and long to be with them because they can't find someone real to love them. But of course, this is just an opinion, not fact. Well, no offense if you're one of those people who've "fallen in love" with Tails, Sonic, Amy, Rouge, and the whole bloody "gang". UnDeRsCoRe 01:57, 20 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Fangirl alarm

[edit]

Okay. There's another character who's recently gotten an article, and is supposedly in love with Tails. Her name is Angel the Cat. Several people have testified that she appears in some unidentified comic strip, but I'm rather suspicious... I think that she's nothing but another random fangirl's fancharacter, which only serves to "fulfill" the fangirl's desire for a romantic relationship with Tails. In other words, this "Angel" is the avatar of someone who, as you put it, is "romantically impaired." (You didn't actually say that, but I think it was implied.) I've warned the folks on the talk page that I was going to contact you about this, and that they should start gathering references, so you should be able to find proof of this character's canonical existance... if any exists, that is. Please contact me as to how this investigation turns out; I need to know if I should drop the charges! Good luck, and give 'em trouble! (That was a Sonic Adventure 2 quote. ^_^) --Luigifan 02:27, 25 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Oh, boy. It looks like we're dealing, not with a fangirl, but with a vandal. The author of the page seems to be a sockpuppet of the guy who vandalised Princess Sally's page. Because of this, and a lack of proof of this character's canonical existance, the page has been proposed for deletion. My interpretation is that it's now more important than ever for you to take a look at this. --Luigifan 11:29, 25 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Angel the Cat? I don't think I've ever heard of her. She probably is a fan character, considering it states that she appears in the games. Which, unless I'm going blind, she hasn't. UnDeRsCoRe 23:35, 25 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
That's pretty much the exact same thing that D1Puck1T said; the character has not appeared in any official media. In other words, she's the product of some jerk trying to impose his little fantasy world on us. --Luigifan 23:40, 25 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I'm starting to honestly get sick of all these vandals. At first, I found vandals actually quite funny and it didn't bother me. But no, it just really pisses me off. It takes forever to create a good article, then people shove lies and "humour" into them. Now, this character article is a complete fan character article, blatant vandalism. Arrg, but w/e, reverting vandalism give me something to do when I'm bored :P UnDeRsCoRe 23:43, 25 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Actually, I stated that you were going to show up on Angel's talk page, and now I'm going to look dumb if you don't... >_< --Luigifan 00:31, 26 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
You won't sound dumb, I've given my two cents just a while ago. I was used in a threat, I feel so special. :P UnDeRsCoRe 00:38, 26 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

UnDeRsCoRe, I've got another problem. Somebody is questioning the notability of Super Mario: Blue Twilight DX. Lithium

[edit]

Hey, I've seen that you're a common editor at Lithium (Evanescence song), and wanted to impress upon you the need for keeping cover images off of there (and related articles) until an official source can be found. I'm not pointing fingers or anything, just asking for help policing the article and removing new images that pop up. At this time, the main source seems to be www.evanescencewebsite.com, which cannot be used as a source (fan-run), even if the poster claims it came from Wind-Up. Until it appears in on an official site or on a retailer's site, there should not be any image on the page. (Boy, will I be glad when that happens!) Thanks, and please message me with any questions or concerns. -- Huntster T@C 23:40, 23 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Well, actually, I wasn't the one who put them there. Anyway, I'll try and see what I can do about those who keep on putting the unsourced Lithium covers. UnDeRsCoRe 00:59, 24 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Animal Rights

[edit]

I don't believe that you can claim to support animal rights if you also eat at McDonalds, KFC, Burger King and Pizza Hut. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.146.39.91 (talkcontribs)

I don't regularily eat there. (As in the last time I ate there was a few years ago) because I hate the fatty, fake food. Anyway, I do support animal rights as in: I don't believe in beating, killing, mutiliating for fun. But as in food, you have to eat something and I'm not exactly ready to become a vegitarian. Well, I do have a cousin who's stricly supports their rights and won't even look at any animal products and only eats vegetables, fruits, tofu, etc. She's awfully pale, and well, I'm not going to do that to myself. Evanescence "Lithium" single

[edit]

These are official "Lithium" single covers. There is proof here [[1]] at Amazon.co.uk. They have the same single covers as the ones I uploaded this afternoon. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Invisible hurricane (talkcontribs) 20:26, 25 November 2006 (UTC)

There are actually two different covers on that site and other Amazon related sites for Lithium. It is believed that they are either placeholders for until the official image is released, or import covers. Unless I'm mistaken, Amazon is also the only website where these images are found. I'd question the authenticity of them, but time will tell. We just should not be so quick to post any image that comes across our screens until we have better information. -- Huntster T@C 03:22, 26 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I'd also like to mention they look ugly to boot. They seem so fan made. So, they're probably place holders. Like Huntster said, we should probably wait (preferablly until the single is actually released) before adding the cover. UnDeRsCoRe 04:13, 26 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hey there! I just wanted to let you know about a trio of ideas I had. You should find them at Talk:Princess Elise III of Soleanna#Let it Ride, Talk:Sonic the Hedgehog (character)#Super Soul Fighter, and Talk:Amy Rose#I Will Follow Him. But, I should warn you in advance; if you haven't actually heard the songs in question, you're going to have no idea what the heck I'm talking about. :p If you have heard the songs, then make sure to let me know whether or not you think that they're suitable. I may have more on the way in the future, as well. (No, I'm not going to submit them to Sega as ideas for official theme songs; I'm not that stupid. Do you remeber that Angel the Cat episode? Something similar's going on now. Somebody tried to insert their fancharacters into the Shadow the Hedgehog and Silver the Hedgehog article. It's died down by now, so the vandal may have learned his lesson (or got blocked,) but we should keep an eye out so that this sort of thing doesn't happen again. --Luigifan 22:29, 4 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Category:6teen episodes, by TTN, another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Category:6teen episodes has been empty for at least four days, and its only content has been links to parent categories. (CSD C1).

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Category:6teen episodes, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. This bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion, it did not nominate Category:6teen episodes itself. Feel free to leave a message on the bot operator's talk page if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot. Thanks. --Android Mouse Bot 2 19:29, 27 May 2007 (UTC)

Non-free use disputed for Image:Sonicrush blaze2.png

[edit]
Warning sign This file may be deleted.

Thanks for uploading Image:Sonicrush blaze2.png. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read carefully the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content and then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our Criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 04:51, 6 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:021mjwed.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:021mjwed.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. ShakespeareFan00 15:37, 18 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

No fair use rational on Image:Tails 2006.png

[edit]

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Image:Tails 2006.png, by Videmus Omnia (talk · contribs), another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Image:Tails 2006.png is an unfree image with no fair use rationale uploaded after May 4, 2006 which has been tagged as not having a rationale for more than 7 days (CSD I6).

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Image:Tails 2006.png, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Ultimatespiderwoman.PNG

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Ultimatespiderwoman.PNG. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 02:43, 12 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Burning blaze.png

Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading Image:Usm91.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Ricky81682 (talk) 07:40, 13 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Thanks for your uploads. You've indicated that the following images are being used under a claim of fair use, but you have not provided an adequate explanation for why they meet Wikipedia's requirements for such images. In particular, for each page an image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for each article the image is used in.
  • That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.

Speedy deletion of File:6teen promo.png

[edit]

A tag has been placed on File:6teen promo.png requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section I11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an image showing no evidence that the copyright holder has released it under the license indicated by the uploader which has been tagged as such for more than 7 days, and it still lacks the necessary information.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on [[ Talk:File:6teen promo.png|the talk page]] explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. —/Mendaliv//Δ's/ 00:06, 16 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Notice

The file File:Cartoon mjwedding.jpg has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Fails WP:NFCC 8 and 3a. Not substantially different from the non-free cover art earlier in the article.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.

Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
