  • A new preference named "Enable limited width mode" has been added to the Vector 2022 skin. The preference is also shown as a toggle on every page if your monitor is 1600 pixels or wider. When disabled it removes the whitespace added by Vector 2022 on the left and right of the page content. Disabling this preference has the same effect as enabling the wide-vector-2022 gadget. Question from SworddrowS (12:26, 30 November 2022)

Hello! I'm new here. I was thinking of adding a new attribute inside a videogame infobox and I'd be grateful if you could please tell me how. Thank you! --SworddrowS (talk) 12:26, 30 November 2022 (UTC)

Hello @SworddrowS! To add an item to an infobox you can do it in two ways. Either you use the visual editor where you press edit on the infobox from there you can add new fields from a list and fill them out. This is probably the easiest way, but there may be fields that aren't in the list. The other way is to use the source editor and add a row formatted in the same way as the others, but with new information it would look something like | producer = Shigeru Miyamoto. What fields are supported is documented at the template page at Template:Infobox video game. If you want to learn more about infoboxes you could look at Help:Infobox. --Trialpears (talk) 12:50, 1 December 2022 (UTC)

Hi! Thank you so much for answering.

Yes I have read the article and realised that the field name I was trying to add is not recognised by the infobox. I guess there's nothing I could do about it. Thank you so much all the same. SworddrowS (talk) 14:00, 1 December 2022 (UTC)

Question from NeoMinkO798 (16:34, 22 December 2022)

What is the genre of the drama serial in the Hum TV programs list article titled "Mere Damaad (My Brother-in Law)"? I think it is social issue because of that one man, but it is a tragedy genre one, but I'm not sure, so can you help me decide? --NeoMinkO798 (talk) 16:34, 22 December 2022 (UTC)

OrphanReferenceFixer: Help on reversion

Hi there! I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. Recently, you reverted my fix to Socialist Party (France).

If you did this because the references should be removed from the article, you have misunderstood the situation. Most likely, the article originally contained both <ref name="foo">...</ref> and one or more <ref name="foo"/> referring to it. Someone then removed the <ref name="foo">...</ref> but left the <ref name="foo"/>, which results in a big red error in the article. I replaced one of the remaining <ref name="foo"/> with a copy of the <ref name="foo">...</ref>; I did not re-insert the reference to where it was deleted, I just replaced one of the remaining instances. What you need to do to fix it is to make sure you remove all instances of the named reference so as to not leave any big red error.

If you reverted because I made an actual mistake, please be sure to also correct any reference errors in the page so I won't come back and make the same mistake again. Also, please post an error report at User talk:AnomieBOT so my operator can fix me! If the error is so urgent that I need to be stopped, also post a message at User:AnomieBOT/shutoff/OrphanReferenceFixer. Thanks! Please comment on this RfC

I support that "vs" replace "vs." and "v" in boxing match titles.

However, to get consensus on this issue, I've opened an RfC on the issue.

Please comment and offer your opinions on it.

Trouted

Whack!

You've been whacked with a wet trout.

Don't take this too seriously. Someone just wants to let you know that you did something silly.

You have been trouted for: creating over 60,000 Lint errors while merging {{Vandal}} by leaving <span>...</span> in a different line. ಮಲ್ನಾಡಾಚ್ ಕೊಂಕ್ಣೊ (talk) 04:26, 14 February 2023 (UTC)

CSD A5

Hello Trialpears. Thank you so much for your work in deprecating F10/P1/P2. If you have a moment at some point, would you be able to upload one more patch for Twinkle? WP:A5 was deprecated last December, but it still has not been removed from Twinkle. Best, HouseBlastertalk 03:05, 22 February 2023 (UTC)

@HouseBlaster Thanks for telling me! I'll make sure to do that in the next few days. --Trialpears (talk) 09:07, 22 February 2023 (UTC)

Question from ConsideringLobsters (06:00, 28 February 2023)

Hi Trialpears. Wikipedia assigned you as my mentor, so sorry if this message is a bother -- I'm still getting my sea legs and learning the norms.

After editing a bunch of articles and taking a stab at some substantive changes on existing articles, I have just tried my hand at creating a new article, and submitted it for review. I gather it could takes months before anyone gets around to seeing it, so I was wondering if you (as my auto-assigned mentor!) could take a quick look and let me know if I seriously messed it up? I would just hate to wait three months only to find out I need to start over and wait another three months....

If you do have any time to give it a once-over, this is the new article I created here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:Spring_Health --ConsideringLobsters (talk) 06:00, 28 February 2023 (UTC)
