Eugene E. Lindsey

Hi. I got your message about deleting my last entry on the Eugene E. Lindsey page. Do you mean the bibliography updates? I was merely attempting to add where the publisher was based (as required for a bibliography reference), as I hadn't been able to find them in my own copies of the books. Admittedly, they probably should have all been added right at the start, but I didn't want to lose my place initially, and then figured I'd be penalised if I didn't put that in. I hope this has cleared things up. On the funny side, I have to comment that it's a little ironic that you're asking me to cite a source FOR the source material. Is that even possible? Or were you talking about something else, and that got deleted by mistake?

All the best. 2A02:C7F:C2A:2100:888D:1EF:D1B5:6BFD (talk) 17:14, 26 May 2020 (UTC)

MK11 Aftermath Storyline

That DLC Expansion already out yesterday, & some characters’ storyline there already being confirmed, & mostly altered, like older Jax able to return to Raiden’s forces earlier the assault at Kronika’s Keep, including revenant Nightwolf’s death by Shang Tsung instead of by Dark Raiden.

HHLA

Dear Trains2050,

Thank you for your Edit in the article “HHLA”. But you must have mixed up the paragraph. The Odessa issue is not in the section you were working on, but in the section below. Would you like to change this? Thank you very much in advance.

Edit requests

Hi Trains, I saw the conversation at Talk:8chan#Russian hosting. You might want to read up a little bit on how requested edits are typically handled before trying to answer any more, I'm not sure you quite understand the process. GorillaWarfare (talk) 18:47, 9 June 2020 (UTC)

@GorillaWarfare: so i try to make sure that I try to follow all process's, but sometimes i get it wrong, and i noticed that this time i got it wrong. sorry to disapoint you Trains2050 (talk) 18:56, 9 June 2020 (UTC). PS: I was first doing anti vandalism mentoring on huggle which i think i am good at. might go back to it.

@GorillaWarfare: I am sorry again for making that mistake, i regret it ,that's why I will most likely be taking a break from editing wikipedia. regards Trains2050 (talk) 19:17, 9 June 2020 (UTC)

@Trains2050: It's really not a huge deal, just a recommendation you refresh on the process. As a side note, I'll mention that it is "neutral point of view" (WP:NPOV), not "natural point of view"–I see you've referred to it as such a few times. Take a break from Wikipedia if you want to take a break, but I hope it's not because my comment discouraged you. GorillaWarfare (talk) 19:19, 9 June 2020 (UTC)

Edit requests 2

I came here to mention the same issue: edit requests. On this page, you told someone who identified as an impartial editor that "I allow you to change the information yourself". I think it might be good if you avoided answering edit requests, seeing as your account is about 2-2 weeks old. I've asked the editor at that page what their conflict is, as they did not state it anywhere.ThatMontrealIP (talk) 20:51, 9 June 2020 (UTC)

@ThatMontrealIP: hello, thanks for your message and will not do any more edit request and will focus on anti vandalism like before on Huggle. Trains2050 (talk) 07:06, 10 June 2020 (UTC)

ps: I am a person who does not like to make mistake but just wanted to try a new thing on wikipedia but now I think that what I am good at ( anti vandalism) is the best route and maybe after 4-5 months I will try other routes. i also regret when I make mistakes and cry, so I always try to avoid as many mistakes as possible. many thanks again Trains2050 (talk) 07:11, 10 June 2020 (UTC)

Not vandalism

I just testing because in others wiki i got banned i had deleted that to — Preceding unsigned comment added by 110.136.48.25 (talk) 07:56, 11 June 2020 (UTC)

hello @110.136.48.25: please do not put test in mainstream wiki pages as this can be counted as vandalism. to test please use the sandbox. many thanks Trains2050 (talk) 08:16, 11 June 2020 (UTC)

@110.136.48.25: also i used the test template not the vandalism template. Trains2050 (talk) 08:26, 11 June 2020 (UTC)

Er

I reverted a change made on the Aerican Empire article, could you please check whether it is valid or not.

@Ooh Saad: thank you for reverting vandalism, seems all valid to me. you do not have to ask me to check it every time as i am not an admin and just done 1 edit to the page to revert an edit that did not meat wiki policy and that was over 2 weeks ago. PS: please sign on talk pages.thank you Trains2050 (talk) 09:58, 11 June 2020 (UTC) ps: i am a newer user than you. i created the account less than 1 month ago but i am learning fast. Rochdale Branch Canal

I added a link from the Rochdale Branch Canal page to the public Facebook Group which is gathering information about the branch and trying to generate interest in restoring this section of canal. I don't understand why this link has been removed as 'inappropriate'. RgpMarston (talk) 17:16, 11 June 2020 (UTC)

@RgpMarston: hello there! I have reviewed your edit very carefully, according to WP:ELNO social media links including Facebook links should be avoided. thanks for coming to clarify why your link has been removed. please reply here if you need anymore help or any information about this. Many thanks Trains2050 (talk) 17:21, 11 June 2020 (UTC)

Good morning, Trains2050! I just saw your message about not completing my desired edits to the Fidelity National Financial page. Indenting on talk pages

Hi, I'm just letting you know that it's good practice to indent on any talk page, including the Teahouse. Doing so helps readers keep track of where a reply starts and ends. Also, you don't need a blank line between replies; otherwise, Wikipedia will interpret the replies as separate, which makes the page accessible. See MOS:LISTGAP for more details. Thanks for your contributions!   Ganbaruby!  (Say hi!) 13:24, 7 July 2020 (UTC)

Be nice

I understand that I forgot to add a refrence on the page Cecil County, Maryland. However, you need to be nice and stop trying to have me barred from Wikipedia, which is for everyone. You are the one vandalizing Wikipedia, not me. NotSure15 (talk) 04:01, 8 July 2020 (UTC)

@NotSure15: I am using an automated system called huggle which writes the warnings automatically, thanks Trains2050 (talk) 04:04, 8 July 2020 (UTC)

Oh. My apologies. But can you control that thing-or just not use it at all? NotSure15 (talk) 04:06, 8 July 2020 (UTC)

@NotSure15: I issue the warning and revert the edit then huggle writes the warning on your talkpage in line with Wikipedia policy. i suggest checking some Wikipedia's policy before editing again to avoid getting banned. i am going to send you a welcome message on your talkpage which has the links to its policy's and other helpful stuff. Welcome to Helping Srbernadette

Thank you. You probably don't know the history and probably don't care. You helped an editor whose need for help is a timesink, who repeatedly makes the same mistakes with articles that are usually about British royalty. They previously edited as Srbernadette, and now they usually request help as an IP. Until recently they would request help at the Help Desk. Now they are asking for help at the Teahouse, perhaps because they wore out their welcome at the Help Desk. Thank you for helping her. You will probably eventually get tired of it. Teahouse

Regarding the user asking for input at the Teahouse about a userspace template they created, I believe your response was not in keeping with the nature of the Teahouse. Note the lack of other archiving templates on the page – we don't really do "case closed!", something that was apparently felt strongly in discussions that led up to creation of the Teahouse. It's generally not up to the answerer of a question to determine whether the question has been answered – that's up to the person asking the question.

Don't feel like you have to have an answer for something – we each answer things when we feel we can give the most helpful, complete answer possible. There's no harm in waiting a bit for someone who may have more experience and a better answer. —[AlanM1 (talk)]— 17:41, 10 July 2020 (UTC)

Thank you for addressing the Request Edits for the article Adam McKay.

I have just proposed another batch of Request Edits for this article. Since you are already familiar with the article now, I thought I'd see whether you would like to address these too. The requests can be found at Talk:Adam McKay#“Help with article updates/corrections”.

Edit for Box Latch

Hi Trains2050,

I submitted a request for an article to be written for Box Latch™ Products made by Eco Latch Systems LLC and on 7/14/2020 you sent a message saying I did not submit an independent request in request for business article. I'm confused as to what I did wrong because I did disclose that I was being paid for my time putting together resources and information for the request.(the disclosure was in my profile and in the notes of my request) And I did put in a request for the article to be written as I did not write the article myself. My request is no longer visible on the request page and it looks like no one wrote the article.

Thank you JanelleP7 (talk) 17:18, 10 September 2020 (UTC)

I replied to you via wiki email Trains2050 (talk) 17:42, 10 September 2020 (UTC)
Thanks, I'll mark the request as "done" on my talk page ~ ToBeFree (talk) 18:38, 14 September 2020 (UTC)

Thanks for leaving me a message. I presume you're referring to this edit. No, it was not a test edit. The text ran "...previous proposals to improve rail access to Auckland's city centre with the first proposals dating back to the 1920s"- There's no need to repeat "proposals" here, and in my opinion doing so is clumsy. 94.21.252.157 (talk) 16:39, 23 September 2020 (UTC)

hi there! sorry for that, next time could you please say why you removed the word in the edit summary to avoid it being reverted, thanks Trains2050 (talk) 16:44, 23 September 2020 (UTC)
Well, the ES says "proposals proposals, elide 2nd use". Admittedly, that is "what" not "why", but I would have thought the reasons for Ellipsis (linguistics) were well-known. As Orwell has it, "if it is possible to cut out a word, always cut it out": here at goodreads.com/quotes. Admittedly I confused elision with ellipsis, but where I grew up the omission of words or phrases was also called elision. 94.21.252.157 (talk) 17:40, 23 September 2020 (UTC)

I am adding a ref to a source that already appears on the page. I recommend waiting 5 min before removing edits, I and probably many others edit in stages. 132.69.195.18 (talk) 11:12, 21 October 2021 (UTC)

Hello @132.69.195.18:. When I saw your edit on Huggle, I did not see that you added a source for it, so I removed it in accordance with wikipedia policy and asked you to add a source kindly. Never publish something without a source even if you are planning to add it within a few minutes. I know that many users edit in stages including me but even when you are editing in stages, when you add new information, add a source before clicking the publish button.
