A tag has been placed on ANS X9.24-1, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising that only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 11, as well as the guidelines on spam.
If you can indicate why the subject of this article is not blatant advertising, you may contest the tagging. To do this, please add {{hangon}}
on the top of ANS X9.24-1 and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would help make it encyclopedic, as well as adding any citations from independent reliable sources to ensure that the article will be verifiable. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. GeorgeLouis (talk) 15:31, 2 September 2008 (UTC)

Draft:Dosho Port copyright problem
[edit]I have removed content you added to the above draft, as it appears to have been copied from copyright web pages elsewhere online. All content you add to Wikipedia must be written in your own words. Please leave a message on my talk page if you have any questions or if you think I made a mistake. — Diannaa 🍁 (talk) 21:48, 27 February 2017 (UTC)
The file File:A placeholder drawing of Dosho Holt.jpg has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Orphaned file, not likely to be useful for encyclopedic purposes.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.
Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. ~ Rob13Talk 03:11, 20 April 2017 (UTC)
Thanks, Rob. I would have deleted this page myself but couldn't figure out how to do it. TooTallSid (talk) 12:59, 20 April 2017 (UTC)

Your contributed article, Dōkai Georgesen
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
Hello, I noticed that you recently created a new page, Dōkai Georgesen. First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as you. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page – Dainin Katagiri. Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will continue helping to improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at Dainin Katagiri. If you have new information to add, you might want to discuss it at the article's talk page.
If you think the article you created should remain separate, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. JamesG5 (talk) 00:13, 31 May 2017 (UTC)

Dosho Port
[edit]- Hi, TooTallSid. He is in Zen Master Who? by James Ishmael Ford. You can quote page 135 which lists the dharma heirs of Katagiri. It says "Dosho Port guides the Wild Fox Zen Monastery outside the twin cities[sic]."[1] I doubt there is any question that his heirs are notable. -SusanLesch (talk) 23:13, 3 July 2018 (UTC)

- Hi, SusanLesch. You would think. in one draft, I had that and some other citations, including for his chapter in Cypress Trees in the Garden. [1] Zen Master Who? and Cypress Trees were deemed not important books. Responding to reviewer comments was to no avail. Lineage in Buddhism is apparently not notable enough. Dosho is in fact also a dharma heir of James Ford, who is in the lineage of Harada-Yasutani. Dosho is considered a master of koan introspection, teaching, writing and lecturing about it across the United States. James Ford's new book, Introduction to Zen Koans,[2] quotes Dosho in several places. You will note that James Ford's Wikipedia page now has issues listed on it. These were added by the one of the reviewers of my submission after reviewing my Dosho Port page. Pop culture and academic citations seem to be the only source of notability for living people. I guess Wikipedia must be running out of disk space. After trying several times, I gave up. It was very disappointing. The page has been marked for deletion, although I saved a copy under my personal account. TooTallSid (talk) 13:08, 4 July 2018 (UTC) @SusanLesch:
