rumor.
[edit]I just deleted a section of this biography as it started wtih "it has been rumored" and went on to describe what most would call negative behavior on behalf of the subject of his page, Dainin Katagiri.
Just because something is referenced as rumor in another source doesn't make it true. Also, the deleted section was more about the author who reported the rumor in her own writings (Natalie Goldberg) than it was about the subject of this page (Dainin Katagiri). (160.94.12.19 (talk) 16:43, 9 February 2009 (UTC))
- I sympathize with your position, but Natalie isn't just "anybody" making this claim - she's a renowned author and a person who practiced at the center in question under Katagiri for more than a decade. She not only writes of the stories she heard about, but also reports that he had come on to her during his tenure. (Mind meal (talk) 14:23, 18 March 2009 (UTC))
- I have shortened the criticism section as it was out of proportion to the overall length of the article. It focused more on Goldberg than on the subject of the article. --Nio-guardian (talk) 08:49, 7 April 2009 (UTC)
- Currently, the only citation for Goldberg's writings which supposedly mention this is a note that says "Goldberg", without any indication of which writing of hers it is. I propose if a proper citation can't be located, either her mention be removed, or at least the present citation be replaced by a cite template. -- Prothonotar (talk) 07:09, 23 August 2010 (UTC)

Deleted text restored
[edit]Hello Fellow Wikipedians, I just restored information regarding one of Katagiri's students that was previously deleted. The entry is accurate and verifiable following Wikipedia's rules. Not sure why it was deleted. --Thinking aloud here (talk) 21:10, 13 January 2023 (UTC)
