I hope i have done justice to this theme. I have used a wikisource of the book " The Complete Works of Swami Vivekananda/Volume 7/Conversations And Dialogues/XXIV". I am sure you would fix the original book source. I could not find a suitable img. It is now over to you for further additions and action.--Nvvchar. 14:23, 8 October 2013 (UTC)

Adoption
Hi Titodutta,
I'm currently working on my first article and I'm looking for an experienced mentor to help me once in a while. I'm not a complete newbie to Wikipedia but I have heard that the Wikipedia admins can be very strict and I would like to make sure that I meet all standards. I'm currently working on an article about an inventor -> feel free to see the workbench I've created. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Ice_thomas/Workbench
Would you have time to adopt me? Really appreciating your help! Thanks a lot in advance --Ice thomas (talk) 08:55, 14 October 2013 (UTC)
- Ice thomas I'm strict, but I bribe real easily :) What you have done already and your todo list looks great. First thing that pops off is that it needs references. See WP:SOURCES for help. The problem with Stiesdal is that he doesn't "automatically' qualify for an article. A CTO and patent holder doesn't make the cut. There need to be refs from reliable, independent sources that talk about him. References from his company doesn't count, but they can be used to verify he works there. Bgwhite (talk) 09:04, 14 October 2013 (UTC)
- Bgwhite Thanks for your first feedback - I'm currently collecting further references and will add them over the next days. Will get back to you soon :) --Ice thomas (talk) 07:17, 15 October 2013 (UTC)
- Bgwhite Hi - I've started adding a couple of references and internal Wikipedia links. Doing that I noticed that you can also link to external websites from the body text? Is that something I should avoid? I've never really seen that in other articles. I always thought external references need to be at the bottom? Thanks a lot for your help! --Ice thomas (talk) 12:35, 17 October 2013 (UTC)
- @Ice thomas: Yes, do not add external links in article body. See WP:EL, WP:ELNO and WP:ELNEVER for more details. Tito☸Dutta 13:05, 17 October 2013 (UTC)
Shreya Ghoshal (Part 1)
Hello Titoda. I've recently improved the article Shreya Ghoshal and I'm planning to nominate it for GA by this December. But before nomination, I think it will be better if you reviewed it part by part. By now, I think the first segment, i.e., Early life and background is well-prepared. So, I'm requesting you to have a look at it and suggest ideas to improve it further, if needed. And please see if the grammar and references are correct and neutrality is maintained. I'll post requests at your talk page for reviewing the other segments later, but for now, please review that part only. Bubaikumar (talk) 12:39, 14 October 2013 (UTC)

Indian English Newspapers Search
Just wanted to thank you for creating this. I've just started using it and already saved a lot of time and found sources that were previously missed. Now I wonder if something can be done for other countries (UK for example). Is this something that is easy to create? Looked at the source and looks like maybe a Java script called cse? -- Green Cardamom (talk) 18:05, 23 October 2013 (UTC)
- @Green Cardamom:, actually it is very easy to create, no, the search engine does not have any JS coding, I have hosted it at my3gb and added codes there. Tito☸Dutta 18:08, 23 October 2013 (UTC)
- When I go to http://tito-dutta.my3gb.com/IndianEnglishNewspapersSearch.html and "View source" it shows java script + html. The main google search code looks like:
<script> (function() { var cx = '014196815420355252912:fownxmjrhle'; var gcse = document.createElement('script'); gcse.type = 'text/javascript'; gcse.async = true; gcse.src = (document.location.protocol == 'https:' ? 'https:' : 'http:') + '//www.google.com/cse/cse.js?cx=' + cx; var s = document.getElementsByTagName('script')[0]; s.parentNode.insertBefore(gcse, s); })(); </script> <gcse:search></gcse:search> <center> <br />
- I'm surely doing something wrong. -- Green Cardamom (talk) 18:24, 23 October 2013 (UTC)
- @Green Cardamom: That part is very very easy. change dse-->cse in the URL and create here. But, they have some drwbacks a) you need to sign in to your Google account b) you can not further customize page, list indexed newspapers etc, --Tito☸Dutta 18:31, 23 October 2013 (UTC)
- See it now. Thanks for the link will try it out. Maybe we need a new Project called WP:Wikiproject Country Specific Search Sites (CSSS) that lists each Custom Search Engine for different country newspapers. But it is a problem as you say some drawbacks. Would be better to bypass CSE entirely with custom code. -- Green Cardamom (talk) 18:54, 23 October 2013 (UTC)

Articles you might like to edit, from SuggestBot
We are currently running a study on the effects of adding additional information to SuggestBot's suggestions. Participation in the study is voluntary. Should you wish to not participate in the study, or have questions or concerns, you can find contact information on the SuggestBot study page.
IMPORTANT CHANGES: We have modified the selection of articles SuggestBot suggests and altered the design to incorporate more information about the articles, as described in this explanation.
Note: All columns in this table are sortable, allowing you to rearrange the table so the articles most interesting to you are shown at the top. All images have mouse-over popups with more information.
Changes to SuggestBot's suggestions
We have changed the number of suggested articles and which categories they are selected from. The number of stubs has been greatly reduced, the number of articles needing sources doubled, and two new categories added (orphans and unencyclopaedic articles). We have also modified the layout of the suggestions and added sortable columns with various types of information about each article. The first two columns are:
- Views/Day
- Daily average number of views an article's had over the past 14 days.
- Quality
- Predicted article quality on a 1- to 3-star scale. Placing your cursor over the stars should give you a pop-up describing the article's quality (Low/Medium/High), current assessment class, and predicted assessment class.
The method we use to predict article quality also allows us to assess whether an article might need specific types of work in order to improve its quality. The work needed might not correspond to cleanup tags added to the article, since our method is not based on those. We have added five columns reflecting this work assessment, where a red X indicates improvement is needed. Placing your cursor over an X should give you a pop-up with a short description of the work needed. The five columns seek to answer the following five questions:
- Content
- Is more content needed?
- Headings
- Does this article have an appropriate section structure?
- Images
- Is the number of illustrative images about right?
- Links
- Does this article link to enough other Wikipedia articles?
- Sources
- For its length, is there an appropriate number of citations to sources in this article?
SuggestBot picks articles in a number of ways based on other articles you've edited, including straight text similarity, following wikilinks, and matching your editing patterns against those of other Wikipedians. It tries to recommend only articles that other Wikipedians have marked as needing work. We appreciate that you have signed up to receive suggestions regularly, your contributions make Wikipedia better — thanks for helping!
If you have feedback on how to make SuggestBot better, please let us know on SuggestBot's talk page. Regards from Nettrom (talk), SuggestBot's caretaker. -- SuggestBot (talk) 23:34, 25 October 2013 (UTC)

Teach me AWB
Titoda recently I got AWB rights on en:wikipedia, so will you teach me how to use as I don't want to wrong anything as that might lead to a block or a removal of rights. So please? 866ƖǝǝɾɹǝuɐqɯɐɥoS 06:51, 2 November 2013 (UTC)
- Using AWb is not very difficult. Go to "Start" tab and tick "Skip" if "only whitespace is added/removed" and "cosmetic changes are made". I don't know if they have enabled it by default . Now check the options of AWB, you may start by solving disambigs (try Tamil, Telugu, Disambig tab>>Enable>>Tamil/Telugu>>Load links now select "What links here">> Filter only "Content">>Start). Tito☸Dutta 06:57, 2 November 2013 (UTC)
- Okay I will try, if I have any difficulties I will consult you. 866ƖǝǝɾɹǝuɐqɯɐɥoS 08:46, 2 November 2013 (UTC)
- Do you have an article in user space where I can try? 866ƖǝǝɾɹǝuɐqɯɐɥoS 08:47, 2 November 2013 (UTC)
- No, I do not have any. You may try in mainspace articles, review changes before saving. --Tito☸Dutta 12:26, 2 November 2013 (UTC)

Bengali Wikipedia article request: Astoria, Queens
Hi, Tito! Are you interested in starting a Bengali stub on en:Astoria, Queens? It is a neighborhood that had a high Bengali population. Many of the Bengalis in Michigan lived in Astoria before moving to Michigan.
