Stop icon

Your recent editing history at KSI discography shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See the bold, revert, discuss cycle for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you do not violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. 331dot (talk) 11:13, 15 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Your draft article, Draft:Mally Mall

[edit]

Hello, Timwikisidemen. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Mally Mall".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thanks for uploading File:KSI - Domain.ogg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. Do not remove maintenance templates unless you fix the problem

[edit]

Just so you know, you can be blocked for repeatedly removing maintenance templates from articles that address issues on those articles without a good reason. You didn't explain why you removed the refimprove template. Even with the commercial performance section I started, the "Patience" article has only two sources on it. It needs more to prove it is worthy in terms of notability (WP:NSONGS), so that is why I started the commercial performance section—to show it is in contention for a place on a national chart. Without charting information, the article has no claim to really being an article at this stage. UK midweek chart information, if it is clearly addressed as such, is valid and you have no good reason for removing it. We're not placing it in a "Charts" section and trying to pass it off as the final chart information, which would justify removal. I have told you this before, but your micro-management of every KSI article is getting to be too much. If you were so worried, you would have expanded the "Patience" article tenfold by now, but instead you try to remove any improvement I make. Good going. Ss112 13:12, 15 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Also, File:KSI - Patience.jpeg is oversized, an inferior-quality JPG (PNG is the preferred file format for digitally created images; the "Patience" cover is not a photographic image, which a JPG would suit, so you might want to upload PNGs in future) and has been tagged for deletion. Ss112 13:14, 15 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry Ss112. I didn't realise that I had removed that template. I shouldn't have done that. I was in the process of adding artwork as well so there were intermediate edits. Apologies again -- Timwikisidemen 13:18, 15 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
A good thing to remember in that case is to place {{in use}} at the very top of an article while you are actively editing it, and then removing it when you're done. Ss112 13:21, 15 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Renaming of Categories.

[edit]

Wikipedia:Categories for discussion is your friend. --Richhoncho (talk) 14:08, 3 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Bypassing CFD[1] is considered "out of process" and is liable to be considered disruptive when done by experienced editors.
Two reasons for using CFD: (i) benefits of experience and multiple perspectives; (ii) the heavy lifting gets done by a bot.
It also makes sure that the category page is moved, not just copied and pasted, so that anyone can see the history of the category. Fayenatic London 08:12, 25 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Category:KSI albums requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the category has been empty for seven days or more and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, a featured topics category, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. FYI, if you are going to create navigational box templates, such as you did with Template:Smokepurpp, you need to add the template to the articles that are listed in the navbox or otherwise it is not very useful. If your submission is not edited soon, it could be nominated for deletion under CSD G13. If you would like to attempt to save it, you will need to improve it. You may request userfication of the content if it meets requirements.

KSI articles

[edit]

Hi. When you start articles, please include news sources to establish notability. It doesn't matter if it's a song by an established artist or not. You must provide evidence that it is deserving of an article per WP:NSONGS. When you started Holiday (KSI song), the only sources on it were Tidal and YouTube, which are primary sources (see WP:PRIMARY) and do not establish nor prove notability for the song. While yes, KSI's name on a track is basically guaranteed to make it a charting song in at least the UK, to editors/patrollers who don't know or care who KSI is they would only see Tidal and YouTube as sources on your article and redirect it, as they have done in the past. This is why you need to establish notability with independent news sources from the get go. Thanks. Ss112 09:54, 21 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Notice

The article Swerve (Jay1 song) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No indication that this is a notable song per WP:NSONG or WP:GNG.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. ... discospinster talk 16:11, 2 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hello! Voting in the 2023 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 11 December 2023. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
