About the map of the Watergate Complex

Tim1965, in this map of the Watergate Complex, the Watergate 600 building (the building that did not house the DNC offices that were burglarized in '72; it's marked in black) is identified as "Watergate Office Building". This would create confusion with the Watergate Hotel and Office Building (the building that did house the DNC offices that were burglarized in '72; it's marked in green, with the office portion distinguished by some tiny gray lines).

This map was created in mid-2009. Can a mistake like this still be corrected (change it to say "Watergate 600" beside the black square instead)? Jim856796 (talk) 20:30, 3 January 2019 (UTC)

Thomas Carnegie

Hi Tim. I think you did an outstanding job on Salvatore Todaro and Joseph Lonardo, so I've nominated them for GA as the coverage and sourcing looks great. It will probably want their leads to be expanded, however. Also, since your coverage is good, you must not have seen this, but I find it strange that Lonardo, being born in Italy, his born given name is Joseph and not the more likely Giuseppe... you haven't come across any sourcing to support this? That is strange about Lonardo, because it seems hard to believe, but we must have sources. Those articles look great as well (just need lead expansions). With regards to Polizzi's possible burial, I found this picture and claim on Flickr saying it is believed Alfred was buried in an unlabeled plot in the family section of Calvary Cemetery, but I can't find a reliable source? (There is also no prose, or source, of him being a "Construction firm owner"). I see you're also working on Joseph Porrello - I'm also surprised his article had not already been made. Thanks. You found my Flickr site! There are lots of original sources that document Polizzi living in Coral Gables, owning a construction firm, and building much of the city. But nothing published, and Wikipedia frowns on use of original sources and original research. I can use that info on my Flickr site, but not on Wikipedia. As for his unmarked grave, several people in Cleveland who are local organized crime historians say Calvary Cemetery is where Polizzi is buried. But there's no real evidence, just a strong belief. Oh, that's cool. I actually do see prose for his work in construction with some book sources, I don't know why I said there wasn't. Yes, thanks for expanding those two leads, it's the other two for Polizzi and Milano need touching. With regards to his unmarked grave, I find it odd that the grave is unmarked, maybe to prevent vandalism, but whatever the case is, no one can be sure without a reliable source, so I have removed the unsourced statement, unless a source can be found that even mentions the possibility of his burial there. My sense is that the families of some organized crime figures don't want the graves marked. They could become shrines for criminals, or vandalized, or whatnot. Angelo Lonardo's grave is not marked, for example. (It is reliably sourced as to where he is buried, and Calvary Cemetery's burial database tells the public what plot number he is in. 2019 US Banknote Contest

There are an estimated 30,000 different varieties of United States banknotes, yet only a fraction of these are represented on Wikimedia Commons in the form of 2D scans. Additionally, Colonial America, the Confederate States, the Republic of Texas, multiple states and territories, communities, and private companies have issued banknotes that are in the public domain today but are absent from Commons. In the months of November and December, WikiProject Numismatics will be running a cross-wiki upload-a-thon, the 2019 US Banknote Contest. The goal of the contest is to increase the number of US banknote images available to content creators on all Wikimedia projects. Participants will claim points for uploading and importing 2D scans of US banknotes, and at the end of the contest all will receive awards. Whether you want to claim the Gold Wiki or you just want to have fun, all are invited to participate. Organized labour project

Hi - I noticed you are one of the original members of the organized labour project who is still active (and editing labour-related issues). I'm contacting active original members as the project has fallen inactive of late and have a couple of thoughts of getting things moving again:

• redesign of the project page using the new project x tool - some examples here Wikipedia:WikiProject_X/Dashboard
• trying to identify editors to focus on regional levels - esp. Africa, MENA and Asia
• start a newsletter
• targeted work on gender and unions (eg seeking support from projects on women, feminism, making women blue etc)
• generalised encouragement of editors involved (eg a Stakhanovite barnstar...not being completely facetious)
