Managing a conflict of interest

  • @Threelinestudio: You can edit any articles, no need to avoid anything, just be careful (no marketing copy, buzzwords and other stuff); one may need to propose changes if they're controversial or contentious. There have been two problems with this account: the account has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia, and your username indicates that the account represents a business or other organisation or group, which is also against policy, as an account must be for just one person. Because of those problems, the account has been blocked indefinitely from editing.

Here are a few key questions:

You are currently blocked because your username appears directly related to a company, group or product that you have been promoting, contrary to the username policy. Changing the username will not allow you to violate the three important principles above. OhNoitsJamie Talk 23:15, 23 July 2016 (UTC) I understand the three points which you raised. As I said before, I am new to Wikipedia and was unaware of any conflict of interest. All I was trying to do was update a website address that no longer exists with one that is current. That is all. I would like once again to apply for "Unblock" and be considered kindly under a new username.[reply]
