WikiBlind user group proposal

Hi Paul, long time no talk! I’m working with DrMeland we have just begun a proposal for a new user group called WikiBlind. We wanted to personally invite you to join in the fun! Mel found you because you noted that you use a screen magnifier on your user page. You can either email her or join the Facebook group if you'd like to know more. Graham87 03:09, 1 May 2019 (UTC)

Hi Graham, yes it's been a while. I'd be delighted to join the group. I don't have a Facebook page but will add my name to the Wikimedia page. This is Paul (talk) 17:52, 1 May 2019 (UTC)

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that you've added some links pointing to disambiguation pages. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Westward timeline rejection

My draftified Draft:Timeline of Westward Television has now been rejected and I am having a discussion about this on the talk page of DeltaQuad, who was the user who rejected the timeline. She has the view that our timelines fall under what wikipedia is not. Given that this potentially affects your timelines as much as it does mine, I thought you should be aware that this discussion is taking place. Rillington (talk) 03:34, 15 May 2019 (UTC)

I've incorporated the information in the Westward timeline into the TSW timeline in the same way that I had included the Associated Rediffusion information within the Timeline of Thames Television. I felt that this was the way to ensure that the information included in the Westward timeline isn't lost. Rillington (talk) 23:18, 16 May 2019 (UTC)
Seems like a good solution. This is Paul (talk) 23:26, 16 May 2019 (UTC)
Agreed, and I've left a note on DeltaQuad's talk page saying what I've done and suggested that the Draft:Timeline of Westward Television is deleted. Rillington (talk) 23:37, 16 May 2019 (UTC)

S4C events on Channel 4 timeline

I've noticed you have added some S4C events to the Channel 4 timeline. S4C was not connected to Channel 4 apart from it showing some of Channel 4's programmes during offpeak hours until Channel 4 became available across all of Wales after digital switchover so these events would be accommodated more appropriately in the Timeline of television in Wales or maybe S4C could have its own timeline.Rillington (talk) 15:29, 26 May 2019 (UTC)

I know S4C is a separate channel, but I did think it and Channel 4 were originally both part of the same organisation (at least prior to the time Channel 4 became available to Welsh viewers), and the S4C category is a subcategory of Channel 4 on here. At present it's likely a separate timeline for S4C would encounter the same kind of problems as the one for Westward Television did, as it would be of a similar size to that article. I think there's more stuff to add for S4C though, so a separate one for S4C could exist eventually. I've duplicated the information in Timeline of television in Wales, so if you do decide you want to remove it from the Channel 4 timeline it won't be difficult to assemble it again somewhere else. This is Paul (talk) 18:04, 26 May 2019 (UTC)
No. Channel 4 and S4C have always been totally separate - S4C is run by the S4C Authority. I agree that there isn't sufficient material for S4C to have its own timeline right now so for now S4C entries would be included in the Timeline of television in Wales. Rillington (talk) 20:31, 26 May 2019 (UTC)
They are closely related though and stemmed from the same concept so coverage of S4C wouldn't be unacceptable, but I'm not going to argue. Incidentally, why did you remove the 4at25 reference, as that's now left a lot of stuff unsourced. This is Paul (talk) 12:04, 27 May 2019 (UTC)
I removed the 4at25 reference because it came up as a Cite Ref error. If that can be corrected then the reference can and should be reinstated. Yes S4C stemmed from the same fourth channel concept but apart from that the two were totally separate apart from S4C showing Channel 4 content at offpeak times until Channel 4 became available across all of Wales in 2010. Did you know...

WP:GNG takes precedence over WP:NFOOTY (which only includes the players in two currently active women's leagues)? Often times there is enough media coverage that meets WP:GNG or other notability guidelines. For more information, see WP:WOSO#Notability and be sure to tag the new article talk page with: {{WP Women's sport|footy=yes}}
