License tagging for File:Lance headshot.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Lance headshot.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.

To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 20:05, 24 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Reply to your Articles for Creation Help Desk question

Hello, Thewizardsgirl! I'm Ahecht. I have replied to your question about a submission at the WikiProject Articles for Creation Help Desk. Ahecht (TALK

You don't have enough Wikipedia experience to become a reviewer yet, but because you are WP:AUTOCONFIRMED you can create your own articles without using the Articles for Creation process. The danger is that if the article doesn't meet Wikipedia's guidelines it may be straight out deleted instead of just being declined. You can either use the Article Wizard and choose "Create a new article directly" or create it as a Draft, don't submit it for review, and move it yourself when you think it is ready. See WP:MOVE for more information on moving pages. --Ahecht (TALK

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Lance J. Sussman, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page David Einhorn. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Ways to improve Thorne Bros

[edit]

Hi, I'm JamesG5. Thewizardsgirl, thanks for creating Thorne Bros!

I've just tagged the page, using our page curation tools, as having some issues to fix. Written like a long-form ad/press release, hue amounts of trivia & unnecessary info, repetition from a few sources which are listed improperly, material in lead which belongs in another section. Needs massive pruning and cleanup for NPOV material.

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, you can leave a comment on my talk page. Or, for more editing help, talk to the volunteers at the Teahouse. JamesG5 (talk) 05:41, 10 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Thorne Bros, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Green Bay and Steve Hutchinson. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Thorne Bros, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Gbawden (talk) 10:38, 22 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Recent edits to HeinOnline

[edit]

You made a good start but really need to work on structure and tone. The article currently reads like an advertisement and would be an immediate candidate for speedy deletion if any administrator encounters it. The more appropriate approach is to describe the history and features of the HeinOnline service in a coldly neutral fashion, and save the praise for a reception section located after those sections. Even better would be to quote from a couple of negative reviews in order to create a more balanced treatment. --Coolcaesar (talk) 03:12, 8 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

It's looking quite good now, but you need to reduce the ref repetitions using "<ref name=XXXX>": WP:REFB#Same reference used more than once. Wikiain (talk) 02:04, 7 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Image without license

Unspecified source/license for File:HOL FullColor 200px.png

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:HOL FullColor 200px.png. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. Even if you created the image yourself, you still need to release it so Wikipedia can use it. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you made this image yourself, you can use copyright tags like {{PD-self}} (to release all rights), {{self|CC-by-sa-3.0|GFDL}} (to require that you be credited), or any tag here - just go to the image, click edit, and add one of those. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by MifterBot. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. --MifterBot (TalkContribsOwner) 06:45, 11 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free image File:HOL FullColor 200px.png

[edit]
⚠

Thanks for uploading File:HOL FullColor 200px.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 18:36, 15 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Gratz College, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Jewish Theological Seminary (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
