Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to make constructive contributions to Wikipedia, but at least one of your recent edits, such as the one you made to Dark Angel (Arches National Park), did not appear to be constructive and has been automatically reverted by ClueBot.
- Please use the sandbox for any test edits you would like to make, and take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Note that human editors do monitor recent changes to Wikipedia articles, and administrators have the ability to block users from editing if they repeatedly engage in vandalism.
- Cluebot produces very few false positives, but it does happen. If you believe the change you made should not have been detected as unconstructive, please report it here, remove this warning from your talk page, and then make the edit again.
- The following is the log entry regarding this warning: Dark Angel (Arches National Park) was changed by The Utahraptor (u) (t) blanking the page on 2009-11-15T18:35:12+00:00 . Thank you. ClueBot (talk) 18:35, 15 November 2009 (UTC)

- Hi, I just popped by to say I enjoyed reading Silver Reef, Utah and have categorised it for you. But while I'm here, to answer your previous question, if you are the sole or almost sole author of a page and you want it deleted, just slap {{db-author}} on it and its toast. RE: Infobox
You know that you can remove fields in the infobox template for people where it won't be used right?
Like for Tom Horn:
- | alma_mater =
- | term =
- | predecessor =
- | successor =
- | party =
Etc., can be removed.

- Hello, I have taken up your Silver Reef challenge posted on the Reward Board. I have completed both phase one (20 constructive edits), and phase two (50 constructive edits). My full copy edit is around 135 edits, not including tags. There were a lot of technical errors, especially spacing issues before references. Also, wikilinks should only be made on the first mention. I have fixed all of these issues. Cheers. -- S Masters (talk) 09:19, 7 April 2010 (UTC)

Ulysses S. Grant
This article Ulysses S. Grant needs to be edited. Are you able to edit this article? Thanks. {Cmguy777 (talk) 02:58, 11 April 2010 (UTC)}
- Yes, I'll do what I can. The Utahraptor (talk) 14:13, 11 April 2010 (UTC)
- Thanks for your editing! I suppose the main issue with this article is summary and narration. Do you have any input or suggestions in those areas? {Cmguy777 (talk) 02:16, 12 April 2010 (UTC)}
- As I was editing the article, I noticed it was long; too long, in my opinion. I feel that the subsection on the assassination of Abraham Lincoln is irrelevant, and should be removed. Also, there are several extremely short paragraphs that either need to be merged with a larger paragraph or omitted entirely. I hope this information helps. Help writing an article
As you know I am new to Wikipedia. I want to write an article about the Fielding Garr Ranch on Antelope Island, but I'm not very experienced. Do you think after I start the article you could help? Also do you know anyone who would be willing to help write the article? Thank you. OldWestHistorian (talk) 01:36, 25 April 2010 (UTC)
- I know a couple people who could also lend a helping hand. I'll contact them. If you need help starting your first article, check out these tips on writing your first article. Good luck, and let me know when you've started the article. The Utahraptor Talk 14:51, 25 April 2010 (UTC)
- I can't write the article anymore. I broke my leg while hiking, plus I was diagnosed with cancer, so I have to rest for the next little while. Do you think you could start the article? I could supply you with a photo if you need one. OldWestHistorian (talk) 17:19, 23 May 2010 (UTC)
- I'll do it when I get the time. Feel better soon. The Utahraptor Talk 17:46, 23 May 2010 (UTC)

- I'm planning on being there Friday from about 5pm until 6 or 7. Hmm, a meeting of two en.wiki bureaucrats. Will that be a first? Useight (talk) 02:10, 27 May 2010 (UTC)
- I'm sure a meeting of two bureaucrats has already happened in a more popular meeting area (such as New York), but I'm pretty sure it'd be a first for a Utah meet. Now I have to work something out, I wouldn't want to miss this....The Utahraptor Talk 02:17, 27 May 2010 (UTC)

Backlog Elimination Drive Wrap-up
Thanks very much to all who helped with the Guild of Copy Editors Backlog Elimination Drive. We were very close to meeting our target of 7,500 articles remaining in the backlog. Our most shining success is the incredible reduction in the backlog of Special Requests. That part of the project saw a drop from 62 articles in the queue, some dating back to February of 2009, down to a stunning THREE, all of which were being edited at the close of the drive. The Special Requests page will now be a great resource for people looking to tidy up their article in advance of a GA or FA nomination, instead of a place where articles go to die.
Moving forward The drive has not only forced a great leap forward in reducing the backlog. It has helped promote the Guild, and led to a greater awareness of the level of vigilance required to keep the backlog manageable. Ideas such as charts, graphs, and barnstars helped motivate editors, and meeting other users helped quell any feelings gnomish editors may have had in the past that they were toiling all alone. Keep up the good work people!! Stats

Hello. Regarding the recent revert you made: you may already know about them, but you might find Wikipedia:Template messages/User talk namespace useful. After a revert, these can be placed on the user's talk page to let them know you considered their edit was inappropriate, and also direct new users towards the sandbox. They can also be used to give a stern warning to a vandal when they've been previously warned. Thank you. Happysailor (Talk) 22:39, 4 June 2010 (UTC)

- You don't know that user. You can't judge someone from one thing they do. Everyone makes mistakes. That user (NielsenGW) has been around for a while, and they are not a rule breaker. I looked at that user's contributions, and didn't find any edits that weren't good faith whatsoever. Scroll to the bottom of this page. NielsenGW's first edit was in August of 2005. They are not, in any way, a noob. And scroll through all those contributions. None of those are contributions that are not good faith edits. So like I said earlier, you can't judge someone from one mistake they make. The Utahraptor Talk 02:55, 6 June 2010 (UTC)

Thank you very much for signing up for the July Backlog Elimination Drive! The copyedit backlog stretches back two and a half years, all the way back to the beginning of 2008! We're really going to need all the help we can to get it down to a manageable number. We've ambitiously set a goal of clearing all of 2008 from the backlog this month. In order to do that, we're going to need more participants. Is there anyone that you can invite or ask to participate with you? If so, we're offering an award to the person who brings in the most referrals. Just notify ɳorɑfʈ Talk! or Diannaa TALK of who your referrals are. Once again, thanks for your support! Reviewer permission
Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged protection, will be commencing a two-month trial at approximately 23:00, 2010 June 15 (UTC).
Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under flagged protection. Flagged protection is applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial.
When reviewing, edits should be accepted if they are not obvious vandalism or BLP violations, and not clearly problematic in light of the reason given for protection (see Wikipedia:Reviewing process). More detailed documentation and guidelines can be found here.
If you do not want this userright, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. HJ Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts? 13:53, 16 June 2010 (UTC)
This week only: buy one get one free on permissions!
Hello, per your request, I've granted you Rollback rights! Just remember:
- Rollback gives you access to certain tools, including Huggle, some of which can be very powerful, so exercise caution
- Rollback is only for blatant vandalism
- Having Rollback rights does not give you any special status or authority
- Misuse of Rollback can lead to its removal by any administrator
- Please read Help:Reverting and Wikipedia:Rollback feature to get to know the workings of the feature
- You can test Rollback at Wikipedia:New admin school/Rollback
- You may wish to display the {{User wikipedia/rollback}} userbox and/or the {{Rollback}} top icon on your user page
- If you have any questions, please do let me know.

Your RfA
Hi Raptor,
let me first say that I agree that you are a fine Wikipedian. I also have to agree though that you need quite a bit more experience before you should be made an admin. This has become, I believe, apparent in the answers on your RfA. For example, the concept of "good hand-bad hand" accounts is that a person simultaneously operates two accounts and uses one for disruption. That wasn't the case in the hypothetical example, Bobby998 came back three months after the block. The one criterion that Bobby998 would strictly speaking violate is circumventing a sanction, i.e. block evasion.
However, I would have thrown out such an SPI case either way: If a person makes five vandalistic edits, is blocked, comes back 3 months later and starts making legitimate edits, then what reason is there to block him at all? Blocks are, as they say, preventative, not punitive. The job of an admin isn't to try and find reasons to block accounts or to blindly enforce policies. Policies are means to an end: to build this encyclopedia. If any editor works towards that goal and future disruption isn't immediately apparent, then he should be supported.
Kind regards, Amalthea 20:21, 25 June 2010 (UTC)
- I take this as a lesson learned. Thank you for teaching me this fine lesson. The Utahraptor Talk 20:25, 25 June 2010 (UTC)
- Unfortunately, I have closed your RfA early as unsuccessful. If you would like to keep it open, feel free to revert me; if you would like help with becoming an administrator, I would suggest admin coaching. Regards, {{Sonia|ping|enlist}} 22:06, 25 June 2010 (UTC)

Re:Pokemon Black and White
on the 12th July 19:29 pm you reverted my edit of pokemon black and white. I did this because SOMEBODY removed my constructive edit of the page. I'm only getting revenge. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 94.4.248.136 (talk) 18:32, 12 July 2010 (UTC)
- Articles aren't a place to "get revenge". Edit constructively, such as adding facts to the article, and don't express your opinion on the article. If it doesn't involve anything rude, express your concern on the article's talk page, not the article itself. The Utahraptor Talk/My mistakes; I mean, er, contributions 18:34, 12 July 2010 (UTC)

Re:User page status
So what do I do on the sup-page for the status? Polymathsj Talk 23:34, 12 July 2010 (UTC)
- First off, to create a status subpage, type "User:Polymathsj/Status" into the search bar. It should say that that subpage does not exist. Create it and add one of five status options: Online, offline, busy, around, or sleep. This will then automatically update the status on your user page. Any more questions? July drive home page
Hi! The July drive home page is starting to load really slowly for some of us on slower internet connections. So I am suggesting that people with lengthy article lists can move them to a difference location, such as their sand box or their talk page. Just leave a link to the new location where your article list used to appear. See my section for an example of how this could be done. Thanks. And thanks for having such a long list of completed articles! Your contributions are appreciated. --Diannaa (Talk) 23:31, 20 July 2010 (UTC) |
Report: American Old West-related articles.
I went through the category: American Old West, and made sure the talkpages of all 89 articles had the banner for this wikiproject included in them. I may not have gotten the precise assessments of their classes and importances correct, though, because I really only know how to identify stubs and starts, (or FAs/GAs, because they have the markers at the top), and I'm not very well-practiced with asserting an article's importance. Usually, though, I based my assessments on those given in any other project banners on the talkpage. At any rate, the major job in that direction is done. Wilhelmina Will (talk) 07:49, 21 July 2010 (UTC)
- I'll go through them a second time and make sure the importance is correct. I've spent a long time studying the American Old West, so I can probably judge the importance of articles under that WikiProject's scope pretty well. It is not clear to me what is going on on the pterosaur page. I had posted the sentence. "If the pteroid is the first metacarpal, then the digit has been lost." It was undone by someone. Was that you? If so why?

- Sorry I didn't answer your question sooner, I'm on vacation and have limited Internet access. It appears as if there's an edit war going on between you and a couple other people. I haven't reverted or undone any of your edits. The only edit I made on that page was reverting this vandalism (the edit on the right, not the left). To stop this edit war you should go to the talk page of the article and discuss it there. Don't continue to make your edits if people keep undoing them. Heroic Age Article
Hello,
i was reading your article on the heroic age and i thought of some things that I think may be useful references. Erymanthos was a son of apollo who was the god of the sun(light) which can explain Lekti's relationship with Mehikataka(loosely). Also, the Erymanthian boar which also a labor of hercules are also one of the favored beasts of Artemis(Artemia?). So either way you split one can draw some mutual affection between the two. Every time I head Kervius' name I kept thinking of cerberus the 3-headed dog of the underworld. The capture of this beast was Hercules' last labor which coincides also with the last remaining episodes of the anime. Might they also may have meant Kervious to be an allusion to this creation. just some food for thought. Use it as you will. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.116.145.27 (talk) 03:16, 27 July 2010 (UTC)

GOCE Backlog Elimination Drive Wrap-up
Greetings from the Guild of Copy Editors July 2010 Backlog Elimination Drive. Thanks to all who participated in the drive! Over 100 editors—including Jimbo Wales—signed up this time (nearly triple the participants of the May drive). This benefited the Guild as well as the articles in need of copy editing. You can see from the comparison graphs that we increased the number of completed copyedits substantially. Unfortunately, we were not able to meet our goal of completely wiping out 2008 from the queue. We also were not able to reduce the backlog to less than 6,000 articles. We suspect people were busy with real life summertime things, at least in the northern hemisphere! We were able to remove the months of January, February, March, April, and May from the backlog, and we almost wiped out the month of June. We reduced the backlog by 1,289 articles (17%), so all in all it was a very successful drive, and we will be holding another event soon. We'll come up with some new ideas to try to keep things fresh and interesting. Keep up the good work, everybody!

GOCE newsletter
Great job on the newsletter! I was just wondering if it could be sent out to all members of the GOCE and not just the July Drive participants? The full list of members carrying the GOCE tag on their user pages can be found at Category:WikiProject Guild of Copy Editors members. We currently have 281 members. I think them getting the newsletter sends a reminder that the GOCE is alive and kicking, and if they had participated in the last drive, they too, could have received a reward. This will hopefully encourage them to participate in the next drive. If we could have just got half of our members to participate we will have 150. If we got another 50 new participants (half of the last drive), we will have 200 for the next drive. The problem is that we have to strip out those that have already received the newsletter. Do you think this is possible? Thanks. - S Masters (talk) 03:10, 2 August 2010 (UTC)

Hello. You have a new message at User talk:HJ Mitchell's talk page. Ocean Shores Formerly TEK (talk • e-mail) 15:00, 5 August 2010 (UTC)
Hello friend. I notice that you recently started a wikiproject on the American Old West. Hey thats great and good luck to you. I'm sure it will be a very helpful project. I also noticed that you've been adding a category tag to several articles. that is is great, but could you please let me know why you think that John Wilkes Booth, Abraham Lincoln, and Fort Sumpter (and a few others not mentioned), somehow classify as old west type articles. Fort Sumpter lies on the Eastern seaboard, and is about as far east as the country can get. Let me know, I'm sure ther is a valuable rationale. Thanks.--Jojhutton (talk) 15:52, 5 August 2010 (UTC)
- Abraham Lincoln was a big part of the American Civil War, which is relevant to the American Old West because many Southerners (among them Jesse James) turned to outlawry after the Civil War ended. John Wilkes Booth is relevant because he is the one that assassinated Abraham Lincoln, which caused history to turn. Fort Sumter is on there because, as I've told you, the American Civil War is relevant to the American Old West, and Fort Sumter is considered where the fighting of the war started. The Raptor You rang?/My mistakes; I mean, er, contributions 15:56, 5 August 2010 (UTC)
- I don't know, its kind of a stretch. Might as well add Stapler, because they used it in San Francisco in 1866. I think that if you need to put the pieces together like a puzzle, in order to find a conection, it most likely doen't belong in the category.--Jojhutton (talk) 16:03, 5 August 2010 (UTC)
- Abraham Lincoln, John Wilkes Booth, and Fort Sumter, unlike the stapler, have a very close connection with the American Old West, therefore, they belong within the scope of the project. Stapler has almost nothing to do with the project, and does not belong in the project. The Raptor You rang?/My mistakes; I mean, er, contributions 16:08, 5 August 2010 (UTC)
- No, I get it it, I can see where a connection could be made, but there is a degree of seperation that needs to be connected in order to come to that conclusion. Its like adding Green Bay Packers to this project because someone who watched a football game in wiscosin, went out west and played a game in California. Sure a connection could be made, but by what degree?--Jojhutton (talk) 16:16, 5 August 2010 (UTC)
- How is adding Abraham Lincoln to the project anything like adding Green Bay Packers? The Raptor You rang?/My mistakes; I mean, er, contributions 16:18, 5 August 2010 (UTC)
- Its a connect the dots comparison. Saying that Lincoln was President during the Civil War, and soldiers who fought during the war went west after the war, therefore Lincoln is associated with the west is a dgree of sepeeration by at least 3 degrees. (Lincoln:War:Soldier:Old West). Thats too many dots for a serious connection. Adding Booth, brings us another degree. What I'm saying is that just about any connection could be made to just about any project, but its the degree of seperation that worries me. Perhaps a WP:RFC would help.--Jojhutton (talk) 16:28, 5 August 2010 (UTC)
- But that's not what I said. I said he was relevant to the war, which is relevant to the Old West. So the evaluation would look like this: Lincoln:War:Old West. And why is connecting the dots so bad? As long as we don't go too far, such as adding stapler and Green Bay Packers, I'd think connecting the dots a couple times isn't bad. The Raptor You rang?/My mistakes; I mean, er, contributions 16:31, 5 August 2010 (UTC)
- Does everything in the American Civil War really fall under the scope of Old West? That seems a little exagerated. According to Wikipedia:WikiProject_American_Old_West#Scope he would have nothing to do with this. You guys need to reword this better, so that you have a carefully defined scope. Sadads (talk) 16:42, 5 August 2010 (UTC)

Please stop misinterpreting my words. I never said everything in the American Civil War falls under the scope of the American Old West. Abraham Lincoln is also important because he abolished slavery in the South, which was a big part of the beginning of the Old West. The Raptor You rang?/My mistakes; I mean, er, contributions 16:45, 5 August 2010 (UTC)
- (EC)I infered that you made the conection through the soldiers who fought the war through this statement Abraham Lincoln was a big part of the American Civil War, which is relevant to the American Old West because many Southerners (among them Jesse James) turned to outlawry after the Civil War ended.. But I'm not here to nitpick your wording. I just feel that there is not a close enough connection, although Lincoln could be connected another way, since he was born in what was considered at th etime as the west. But the connections with Booth and other eastern Civil War battles is far too much of a stretch, and is most likely going a bit too far.--Jojhutton (talk) 16:48, 5 August 2010 (UTC)
I seriously don't see how that's going too far. I can see how putting stapler and Green Bay Packers in the project is going too far, but I don't see how putting someone who is a very famous historical figure from the American Old West is going too far. The Raptor You rang?/My mistakes; I mean, er, contributions 16:50, 5 August 2010 (UTC)
- (ec)I don't know, I am seeing the same tenuous link between Abe and these two articles [1] and [2] which I reverted by the way. Sadads (talk) 16:52, 5 August 2010 (UTC)
- I was asked to contribute to this discussion by Raptor, and having read it, I'm sorry, but I think Jojhutton is right on this because of matters of degree. A stronger case could and probably should be made for Thomas Jefferson, Andrew Jackson, Teddy Roosevelt and even Ronald Reagan. I'm having a problem making the tag stick on Old West authors. Jojhutton is not being unkind, and while I feel your Wikistress (there now myself), this is one that's not worth stressing over. Certainly there are dozens if not a hundred Civil War articles we can tag that dovetail perfectly. --Chris (クリス • フィッチ) (talk) 16:53, 5 August 2010 (UTC)
- Coming in late in the day perhaps, but Lincoln is relevant to the Old West for at least one reason - the Homestead Act. He certainly did not originate the act, but he did sign it into law in 1862. Booth may not be relevant, and the James brothers were more of a Missouri/Midwest problem, but Lincoln's signing of the Homestead Act and the decision to raise state volunteer units for the war both directly impacted the Old West. And there's always the transcontinental railroad. Given the role that the railroad played in the settlement of the West, and Lincoln's role with the railroad both before and during the War, I think that link at least is clear. Links to battles are tougher, although one could really stretch the point and count battles participated in by California units (to include those that went east to augment other state units). My take, anyhow.Intothatdarkness (talk) 20:27, 5 August 2010 (UTC)
- Regarding your statement about Jesse James, it says on the article about the American Old West that Jesse James and his gang were Old West outlaws. That's why I included them. The Raptor You rang?/My mistakes; I mean, er, contributions 20:40, 5 August 2010 (UTC)
- If any presidents are included, I would definitely back inclusion of Abraham Lincoln, again due to his support of the Homestead Act. The Act had been blocked by the Southerners for quite some time, and its passage during the Civil War opened up land in the west to common people rather than land speculators, arguably forever setting the course of American history. Ditto the railroad stuff and the James gang as part of the "Old West". That said, I think that Booth and various Civil War events that occurred west of the Mississippi are a bit outside the scope. That said, which presidents to include or not is another debate (I'd say yea for Jefferson and TR, nay for Jackson and Reagan). Montanabw(talk) 21:07, 5 August 2010 (UTC)
- The James brothers are often included in discussions of Old West outlaws, but technically they operated mainly in Missouri and Kansas, with some forays elsewhere. They did lay up in both Indian Territory and Texas from time to time. I think they're normally included as archetypes of the "Old West Outlaw," which is fine. It also makes sense when you consider that Kansas was part of the frontier per se, and Missouri wasn't that far removed from frontier status. They illustrate the transition quite well in many ways.Intothatdarkness (talk) 22:24, 5 August 2010 (UTC)

Spot-checker post
Yes, I'll need a lot of instructions. What is the standard? And how am I to choose articles? (1 out of every 10?) Ocean Shores (Formerly TEK) 01:18, 10 August 2010 (UTC)
- Do you want my username on the project page and newsletter? Ocean Shores (Formerly TEK) 01:22, 10 August 2010 (UTC)
- We could put it in the spot check section, and maybe even in the lead section. As for the instructions, see below:
- "We will spot-check some of the completed copyedits for quality control reasons. If a rough consensus finds a copyedit is not of an acceptable standard, the tag will be readded and the reviewer will be assessed a penalty of 1,200 words plus the length of the article reviewed."
- This means that you must examine a few of the completed copy edits and check to see if its quality is good. Check for errors like you would any article you're copy editing, except, since it's already been copy edited, there shouldn't be many. If you think there are a lot of errors, address the issue at the drive's talk page (I'll make a separate section for it to make it a bit easier). If the rest of us decide the copy edit isn't good, the copy edit tag will be put back and the editor will lose 1,200 points plus the amount of words that article is. After all, we're after quality, not quantity. Below are numbered instructions:
- Try to spot check at least ten percent of any participant's copy edits.
- Make sure you spot check the article thoroughly. Try not to miss anything.
- Nobody is perfect, so obviously there will be instances where there are a couple mistakes. The way I would do it, if there are five or more mistakes that were not corrected, it should be questioned. At ten mistakes or more it should definitely be questioned.
- Be very careful when spot checking. As stated earlier, nobody is perfect, so there will be a couple mistakes that weren't corrected. Also, it's not your job to re-copy edit the article, unless you wish to. If you do you will get the credit instead of the first participant that copy edited.
- At this point I've finished my drive-through course, so all that's left is the following: Do you have any questions, concerns, or comments? The Raptor You rang?/My mistakes; I mean, er, contributions 01:32, 10 August 2010 (UTC)

- Always remember: quality over quantity. Especially check on those who copy edit quickly. The Raptor You rang?/My mistakes; I mean, er, contributions 13:36, 10 August 2010 (UTC)
Rather than making you the new spot checker, I'd prefer to put you in charge of spot checking. There's an important distinction: the former means its your job, and yours alone. The latter makes it your responsibility. If in the next drive we have 50 active editors, and we want to spot check 2 of each editor's copyedits, that's over 3 articles a day if you're doing it by yourself, add to that workload whatever you choose to copyedit yourself during the drive. That's a lot! But if you're in charge of the spot checking department, then you can recruit some help, or set up some guidelines (maybe we want to say for every 20 articles you edit, you should spot-check one, or something. This is just an example and not an actual suggestion). ɳorɑfʈ Talk! 03:57, 11 August 2010 (UTC)
- That sounds good. I'll do some myself if I have the time. Now, do I set up a new section on the drive page? Ocean Shores (Formerly TEK) 01:33, 12 August 2010 (UTC)
- There's already a section at the bottom of the drive page that talks about spot checking, so there's no need for a new section. The Raptor You rang?/My mistakes; I mean, er, contributions 22:33, 12 August 2010 (UTC)
Barnstar
Wikipedia Motivation Award | ||
Sorry you're feeling wiki-discouragement, but I would have given you this barnstar anyway, in particular for your work with the GOCE Backlog Elimination Drive. There's no one more deserving. Esprit15d • talk • contribs 16:37, 11 August 2010 (UTC) |
GOCE drive decisions
Hi, we need to close the discussions on the GOCE drive soon and make our final decisions on the mechanics of the drive. In particular, we need to decide on the rollover rules. I have also noticed that the lifetime totals have already been implemented. This might be problematic for us in calculating any rollover credits as this number lumps together the totals of all drives. We need to send the newsletter out by 14 or 15 August (roughly 2 weeks before the next drive starts). Would appreciate your comments and votes (either way), as I want to close off all current discussions and archive them before we start inviting 300+ editors to participate. Cheers. - S Masters (talk) 01:14, 12 August 2010 (UTC)
- Sorry I haven't responded sooner, I'm on vacation and have limited Internet access. I'll take a look at everything and see what I can do. The Raptor You rang?/My mistakes; I mean, er, contributions 22:32, 12 August 2010 (UTC)
Archiving
The drive talk page's getting pretty long now, so should we archive it before the drive starts? Ocean Shores (Formerly TEK) 22:45, 12 August 2010 (UTC)
- It isn't very long yet, plus pretty much all major issues that can be addressed have been addressed, so I would wait a while and see what else happens. The Raptor You rang?/My mistakes; I mean, er, contributions 22:48, 12 August 2010 (UTC)

Hi, thanks for the update, but could you please consider sending the newsletters as collapsible templates like this, in the way that most other projects do? (I have made the suggestion before). Thanks.--Kudpung (talk) 00:45, 16 August 2010 (UTC) |
Thanks from the GOCE
Thank you very much for signing up for the Guild of Copy Editors' September Backlog Elimination Drive! The copyedit backlog stretches back two years, to the summer of 2008! We're going to need all the help we can muster to reduce the backlog to a manageable size. We've set a goal of clearing all of 2008 from the backlog, and getting the total under 5000. To do that, we're going to need more participants. Please invite anyone you can to join the drive! Once again, thanks for your support! If you have any questions, contact one of our coordinators—ɳorɑfʈ Talk!, The Raptor You rang?, or SMasters (Talk). |

Hungry?
OlEnglish has given you a fresh piece of fried chicken! Pieces of fried chicken promote WikiLove and hopefully this piece has made your day a little better. Request for Review and Assessment - National Waterway 4 (India)
Hi Raptor,
I have just posted an article titled National Waterways 4. This article is next to my CERC article which you have reviewed & rated. The article is one among the Six National Waterways in India. Whereas articles for 4 other National Waterways are yet to be created. NW-4 is similar to National Waterway 3 (India). Please review the article and provide your valuable feedback as well as rating for the article. ----Raj 6644(தமிழன்) 12:47, 23 August 2010 (UTC)

- Since the copy edit has been taken care of, I would think that the only thing left to do would be to expand a couple sections and add a couple references. If you would like to know what sections I think require expansion, just let me know. The Utahraptor's sock (talk) 17:53, 25 August 2010 (UTC)
- Sure Raptor! which section requires expansion?. I'm pleased to do that. ----Raj 6644(தமிழன்) 05:14, 26 August 2010 (UTC)
- All subsections within the section entitled "Traffic" require expansion. After that it can be upgraded to B class. The Raptor You rang?/My mistakes; I mean, er, contributions 21:03, 26 August 2010 (UTC)
