It is good to see someone else interested in biology articles. Lion is a Featured Article, which means all facts in it are referenced, so placing new material needs referencing. Also it is a very large article, more material should only be added if really important. Cheers, Casliber (talk · contribs) 23:54, 29 April 2008 (UTC)
You are now a Reviewer
[edit]Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged protection, is currently undergoing a two-month trial scheduled to end 15 August 2010.
Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under pending changes. Pending changes is applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial. The list of articles with pending changes awaiting review is located at Special:OldReviewedPages.
When reviewing, edits should be accepted if they are not obvious vandalism or BLP violations, and not clearly problematic in light of the reason given for protection (see Wikipedia:Reviewing process). More detailed documentation and guidelines can be found here.
If you do not want this userright, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. Courcelles (talk) 18:02, 18 June 2010 (UTC)

[edit]Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you recently tried to give The Nutcracker in 3D a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into another page with a different name. This is known as a "cut and paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.
In most cases, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page. This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Cut and paste move repair holding pen. Thank you. List of Wikipedians by number of edits
[edit]I just wanted to add my name on Wikipedia:List of Wikipedians by number of edits/8001–9000 as I have 6654 edits but am not listed there. But I soon realised that it is a bot updated page. Can you please let me know how o list myself there. I saw you listed there and thought of asking. DiptanshuTalk 14:20, 13 December 2013 (UTC)
- Geez man, I'm not really sure. I always thought those pages did that themselves. I'm listed there, but I never included myself. I think administrators will notify you when they see how many you've made, or something like that. The Shadow-Fighter (talk) 03:44, 14 December 2013 (UTC)
- Thanks anyway! I found found myself at 8883 courtesy Redrose64. DiptanshuTalk 05:41, 14 December 2013 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of Corey Padnos
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Corey Padnos, requesting that it be deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under two or more of the criteria for speedy deletion, by which articles can be deleted at any time, without discussion. If the page meets any of these strictly-defined criteria, then it may be soon be deleted by an administrator. The reasons it has been tagged are:
- It is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. (See section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) Wikipedia has standards for the minimum necessary information to be included in short articles; you can see these at Wikipedia:Stub. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.
- It appears to be about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), individual animal, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. (See section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) Such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. [edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. I have noticed that some of your recent genre changes, such as the one you made to Vertigo (U2 song), have conflicted with our neutral point of view and verifiability policies. While we invite all users to contribute constructively to Wikipedia, we urge all editors to provide reliable sources for edits made. When others disagree, we recommend you seek consensus for certain edits by discussing the matter on the article's talk page. Thank you. Binksternet (talk) 14:53, 2 May 2015 (UTC)
Disambiguation link notification for August 12
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited The Long Road, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Heavy metal. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 09:47, 12 August 2015 (UTC)

[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. We welcome and appreciate your contributions, including your edits to Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (film), but we cannot accept original research. Original research refers to material—such as facts, allegations, ideas, and personal experiences—for which no reliable, published sources exist; it also encompasses combining published sources in a way to imply something that none of them explicitly say. Please be prepared to cite a reliable source for all of your contributions. Thank you. DonIago (talk) 16:57, 24 April 2017 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Savannah Jayde
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

[edit]Here's an explanation of how your change changes the meaning of the sentence:
- Kevin is Sue's father.
- Kevin is considered to be Sue's father.
Notice the difference :). Really, don't even change a word of these without consensus Galobtter (pingó mió) 05:20, 18 December 2017 (UTC)

[edit]Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to add unsourced or poorly sourced content, as you did at An American Tail: Fievel Goes West, you may be blocked from editing. NinjaRobotPirate (talk) 17:59, 30 September 2021 (UTC)
Buddy, I’d love to know what disruptive editing you could possibly be talking about. That one source says the film was panned but that simply is not accurate. The reviews listed in the reception section clearly indicate that reviews for the film were mixed, so the mistake that I made was changing the sentence without removing the source and replacing it with something different. By all means let’s have a proper discussion about this, but coming at me with a red triangle and exclamation point is completely uncalled for. The Shadow-Fighter (talk) 22:57, 30 September 2021 (UTC)

Hi. This is old, but has recently came up. Regarding this edit from November 2023, how did you determine the film was a "box office bomb" without a documented budget? It was reverted (by someone else), but I am just curious. Thanks for your time. Mike Allen 00:01, 5 May 2024 (UTC)
- Hi Mike! That’s funny, I don’t remember doing that, but I’m not sure why I would have without a documented budget. Must have been an oversight on my part, but thanks for the heads up. The Shadow-Fighter (talk) 05:45, 5 May 2024 (UTC)
