19:40:50, 22 November 2014 review of submission by Justice4theworld
Justice4theworld (talk) 19:40, 22 November 2014 (UTC)
Hi there, you have declined my article and asked me to check the notability rules and make sure sources are verifiable, I have checked (again, as I also did that before starting the article) and to my mind it is all correct (except if there is a rule on the number of verifiable secondary references that has not been publicly written but editors keep in mind). Can you please clarify?
- Sure. The reason I have declined your submission was due to the lack of any cites in the lead section and also in the Early life and career section. Inline cites are more important than the cites themselves. Its a requirement for accepting an AfC. Just work on it a bit and ping me(if I am not available, just submit it for review and someone will accept it). Thank you. --The herald 12:38, 23 November 2014 (UTC)
12:24:15, 24 November 2014 review of submission by Jawillia
I'm not sure how many reliable sources you are expecting. TV: NBC Latino, CBS Local; newspapers - Las Vegas Sun, El Paso Times, Times Republican, Lewistown Sentinal, Sun Sentinal South Florida, even the Villages News (the Villages is a city of 100k people). I don't understand...
Jawillia (talk) 12:24, 24 November 2014 (UTC)
- Hello and Welcome...You had a great time to make the submission (I can see that). But the reason I have declined your submission was due to the lack of any cites in the lead section and also in the Early years section. Inline cites are more important than the cites themselves. Its a requirement for accepting an AfC. Just work on it a bit and ping me (if I am not available, just submit it for review and someone will accept it). Thank you. - Dear Benison, thank you so much for all your coaching and help. Deeply appreciated. I feel I am slowly becoming a better Wikipedian and proud of it, thanks to you. Anyway, I updated and upgraded the article with more citations, please let me know if the article is all right now, or if you have more tips etcetera to make it better. Gratefully yours Madhu Gopal (talk) 21:16, 25 November 2014 (UTC)
Featured contents
I'm going to be very busy next week, and fairly busy the week after that. This is one of the reasons I want to have that buffer.
Here's the links to the next two Featured content reports (FPs done, some lists and articles yet to do) and the third for which I won't be a huge help with: Wikipedia:Wikipedia Signpost/2014-11-26/Featured content, Wikipedia:Wikipedia Signpost/2014-12-03/Featured content, Wikipedia:Wikipedia Signpost/2014-12-10/Featured content.
Hopefully, this will be enough to keep things running smoothly. Talk to you soon! Adam Cuerden (talk) 11:56, 25 November 2014 (UTC)
- @Adam Cuerden:..Great. May be I could manage the next week's FA and FLs, but I will be under wikibreak (due to semester exams) the week later. Anyway, lemme see. Is that Okay? The herald 12:09, 25 November 2014 (UTC)
- That looks great! This, by the way, is one of the reasons I wanted to make sure to have a bit more buffer in FCs: It makes it far easier to plan around wikibreaks.
- You'll recognise the lead photo in the 26th, of course, but I took it a bit more Portal (video game). =) Adam Cuerden (talk) 12:39, 25 November 2014 (UTC)
- Didn't get you Adam.. The herald 12:46, 25 November 2014 (UTC)
Compare your early draft of 11-19 [8], with the top image of Wikipedia:Wikipedia Signpost/2014-11-26/Featured content. Made a note of it. Only concern I had was double-checking noone was injured or died, and, that confirmed, I ran with your idea the moment it was in the featured picture list. Adam Cuerden (talk) 12:50, 25 November 2014 (UTC)
- And if you don't get my references, [9] may clear it up. Adam Cuerden (talk) 12:55, 25 November 2014 (UTC)
- Got you. I had seen it eras ago. It's in my watchlist. You always does the right tweaks. --The herald 12:56, 25 November 2014 (UTC)
NEQUA
I have been trying to prepare NEQUA for submission to Wikipedia. It was rejected over a month ago and I reread the citations sections and added isbn numbers and then it was rejected again as not having adquate citations. You are the person who rejected it the second time. I have placed five titles and isbn numbers to the books and also the link to specific pages as found in the books listed. I have checked the links for validation. Please tell me what additional validation is needed as I do not know what more I should do. Giant Green Snake (talk) 14:41, 25 November 2014 (UTC)

Recent declined article for creation
Hello, I am writing to inquire about the article for creation Draft: Are Quanta Real? (book). After several resubmissions, I am uncertain of why the article has been declined again. What other types of citations do I need to include? It seems as though I have included all the types of references that previous reviewers have requested. Thanks. JCMPC (talk) 00:43, 30 November 2014 (UTC)
- Hi there, Welcome to Wikipedia. As far as I can see, your article lack some cites from trusted sources.1st and 2nd cites are almost similar and an article on a book must have a good number of trusted cites. That's all and go for the review once again and have it passed. Thank you. --The herald 10:19, 3 December 2014 (UTC)
- Thanks for the feedback. I suppose I don't see how the citations I included aren't "good" and aren't "trusted." The first citation was meant to give readers direct reference to the book itself, including the ISBN, and the second citation was meant to give a publisher's overview of the book. I can always remove one of the two if redundancy is an issue. If the number of citations is an issue, how many citations need to be included for an article to be created? JCMPC (talk) 01:19, 4 December 2014 (UTC)
- @JCMPC:To say the truth, there are no limits. But a few more (say, two or three) will do the work. Thank you..The Herald : ping me 13:05, 5 December 2014 (UTC)
