Peter V of Aragon
Sorry for not having given you an answer earlier. I'm practically done here and I'm not working on articles anymore. I took a look at the Portuguese article and the text is almost the same. I found no useful information that could be added to the English version. Probably they were both written by the same person or translated from to another. Kind regards and good luck with everything, --Lecen (talk) 20:32, 7 January 2012 (UTC)
- P.S.: Alarbus was just joking on João VI's talk page. He was not making fun of you, don't worry. --Lecen (talk) 02:39, 8 January 2012 (UTC)
Why? You shouldn't take anything said on this site seriously. I hope you change your mind and come back very soon.--Queen Elizabeth II's Little Spy (talk) 06:40, 8 January 2012 (UTC)
Re: Portuguese translation
Ok, but It will probably take a while, since I'll have just a couple of hours everyday to work on them. Victão Lopes I hear you... 00:28, 30 January 2012 (UTC)
- Probably most of them are just not interested. They can also be busy and unable to respond within days of your first contact. The same could happen to me if I wasn't on holiday. Victão Lopes I hear you... 03:14, 30 January 2012 (UTC)
translation requests
Wow! They're pretty long. But I'll do what I can. I am fairly busy with the sort of articles I generally do, but this would be a nice change of pace. Daniel Case (talk) 15:29, 30 January 2012 (UTC)

Sorry, I'm currently suffering from almost complete lack of free time. //Halibutt 15:54, 30 January 2012 (UTC)

It will take me some time to get to the articles you requested. It also looks like you've asked other people to help. If no one else has translated them in a couple of days, ping me on my talk page again. Otherwise, I'll try to get to them as soon as I can. Kcowolf (talk) 19:28, 30 January 2012 (UTC)
Wilhelm, 1st Duke of Urach and Otto of Bavaria
Hello,
I can translate Wilhelm, 1st Duke of Urach and Otto of Bavaria for you, but it may take a few days before I can find the time.

I'm sorry for the late reply. I am also sorry to tell you that, after looking at both articles, that I'm not going to have the block of time in the foreseeable future to translate them. My editing patterns have changed significantly from when I was added to the translators available page, so I have removed my entry from that page. It's rather tough to recruit a translator to do a wholesale rewrite and translation of several articles. I wish you luck in accomplishing this task, but it might make sense to break down the translation request to one article, or a specific portion of information you'd like to import. You will not have good luck in continually ordering translations of whole articles, interested users patrol the translation needed categories after an article gets tagged. However there are some brave wikipedians like Daniel Case who could do it justice. Regards, ˉˉanetode╦╩ 04:36, 14 February 2012 (UTC)

Hi there, Thomas! That's helluva lot of translation to do for one person. Perhaps, we can it do it the following way. I can try and translate each of them one paragraph at a time whenever I have time and email them over to you for revamping to proper English (I believe you're a native speaker). I think I have time for a paragraph or two every other night. What do you say? KNewman (talk) 20:40, 14 February 2012 (UTC)
Portuguese translation
Amélie of Leuchtenberg should now be complete. Not sure when I'll get much time to work on John VI of Portugal, but it will remain on my list. - Jmabel | Talk 01:20, 20 February 2012 (UTC)
- Many, thanks!!!!!!

I suppose I could take on one of these pages, but there are three obstacles. One is that I really don't have much time for Wikipedia these days. The second is that both of the Russian articles are written in fairly academic language, with some archaic terms that I don't know. The third is that I'm no longer really familiar with Wikipedia protocols, such as those regarding references and citations. So it would take a long time, and I would ask for your help now and again. (There are a few more oddities, such as the necessity of reverse-translating an extended quote from the English writer Giles Fletcher.) --Smack (talk) 06:41, 22 February 2012 (UTC)
