Last in the line of succession

Last in the Line of Succession, Ms. Vogel Is Glad She Isn't Queen
Descendant of Sophia of Hanover, She Would Rule Britain if 4,972 Die
(The Wall Street Journal) —— Shakescene (talk) 05:39, 28 April 2011 (UTC)

Interesting. Never knew the line was that short only 4000 descendants of Sophia of Hanover. Wonder who is after Ms. Vogel in the line of succession, would it be one of the descendants of Mary Tudor, Queen of France.--Queen Elizabeth II's Little Spy (talk) 09:43, 28 April 2011 (UTC)

RE: Ingeborg of Denmark, Duchess of Mecklenburg

Hey, could you tell me who Ingeborg's father was? From there I will be able to see if there is articles in Danish for translation as well as check Medieval Lands, I will only create the articles if they did something worth noting, I've learnt that creating articles for people just because they have a famous descendant is pointless because it is the only basis of the article and tells you very little of the person it's subject is about--David (talk) 19:03, 4 May 2011 (UTC)

Ok here's Ingeborg of Denmark, Duchess of Mecklenburg, the article is rather brief however I will continue to hunt and if you have any info feel free to add. thanks--David (talk) 15:27, 5 May 2011 (UTC)
I believe so, I have already expanded one or two I will be sure to do more in the near future--David (talk) 14:43, 18 May 2011 (UTC)

Sorry

Hi! I'm bold in moving, but I´m usually right and discussions take too much time. In this case, the lead paragraph contradicted the article´s title. Now is OK. :=) Regards, --Againme (talk) 15:36, 17 May 2011 (UTC)

Yeah the entire article is a mess. Most articles on wikipedia are.--Queen Elizabeth II's Little Spy (talk) 01:20, 18 May 2011 (UTC)

Catherine of Brunswick and whatever

Hi. I have some of these pages on my watchlist, and I notice you making some changes to them. Would you mind explaining what your goal is in making them? My tired brain isn't able to make sense of it right now, and I just want to make sure I don't mess up anything. Also, I noticed that you introduced some syntax errors, but I didn't fix them in case you're still working on this.

By the way, thanks for doing the un-tabling; I made the tables, but then I discovered that they make it harder to preview the page. Thanks! --Auntof6 (talk) 02:19, 19 May 2011 (UTC)

Simplifying and making it fit with other articles on Wikipedia. I was changing the disambiguation page. 1. First of all a lot of the German names are translate weirdly. Most articles on Wikipedia is "of Brunswick-Lüneburg" not "of Brunswick and Lunenburg" even though the latter is the more correct English translations; it's like Hesse-Cassel vs Hesse-Kassel. 2. You shouldn't have red links on disambiguation pages also.
If you could, can you help in changing "of Brunswick and Lunenburg" to the proper "of Brunswick-Lunenburg." Many of the articles created by User:Ulf Heinsohn are weirdly translated; he used a lot of names of places. Like Elisabeth of Brunswick is just a complete mess when it comes to the names.--Queen Elizabeth II's Little Spy (talk) 02:29, 19 May 2011 (UTC)
OK, thanks for the explanation! So what articles on the Catherines will exist when you're through doing the changes?
Where do you want help making that change? If you have a list of articles, I can feed it into AWB and automate the change. Before doing that, though, I guess I should ask you to point me to a discussion that decided that should be done -- I don't want to get into trouble!
By the way, you can have red links on dab pages if other things link to those red links; in those case, it's helpful to have a blue link in the entry pointing to a related article that has info about the red-linked item. (In this case, I usually make that a link to the person's father or husband.) I've probably added quite a few red-linked entries to pages just like this because I keep finding links to incorrect people. For example, today I created the dab page Margaret of Brandenburg (disambiguation), because I found several links to Margaret of Brandenburg that were meant for different people than the one at that article. --Auntof6 (talk) 02:45, 19 May 2011 (UTC)
The thing is there is no discussion of this issue. An even bigger problem is the whole Brunswick-Place thing. I'm done there wasn't much else to change. Also if you use the name Margaret you should refrain from using Margareta and Margarete in article titles, you can still have them as redirect though.--Queen Elizabeth II's Little Spy (talk) 02:51, 19 May 2011 (UTC)
I'm not sure I agree -- people whose names are similar to "Margaret" are sometimes called "Margaret", and the human name dab pages are for distinguishing between people who are/can be called by the name of the page, even if their article title doesn't match exactly.
Another thing: I notice on several of the hn dab pages you've edited that some entries are left without any link at all, neither red nor blue. There must be at least one link, preferably blue, but red is acceptable if there are other links to the same thing (see WP:MOSDABRL). It would be helpful if you could go back and address those. Thanks! --Auntof6 (talk) 03:12, 19 May 2011 (UTC)

Note

Just FYI, I just changed Catherine of Brunswick in a way that reverted your recent edit. I have explained my edits on the talk page. --Auntof6 (talk) 03:50, 20 May 2011 (UTC)

Catherine of Brunswick-Wolfenbüttel

Hello,
I just created a page named Catherine of Brunswick-Wolfenbüttel, Margravine of Brandenburg-Küstrin as a translation of Katharina von Braunschweig-Wolfenbüttel (1518–1574). The disambiguaton page Catherine of Brunswick suggested this name. I've also created a disambiguaton page Catherine of Brunswick-Wolfenbüttel, pointing at the two ladies with that name.

A murder mystery?

Hello! I created the article on Isabel de la Cerda, I didn't use the Spanish because medieval lands gave me more info.

Now here's something. Last week I created an article on Alice of Armenia, part of the article was on her struggle to claim the Armenian throne which was held by Isabella, Queen of Armenia. Other people attempted to claim the throne, including Isabella's older sister Stephanie of Armenia (an article I created a while back) and her young son John. Her husband John of Brienne was to claim Armenia (as his wife and son arguably had a better claim than Isabella) but Stephanie and their son soon "died" within a week of each-other and I was unable to draw up a reason for their deaths, so I'm wondering if foul play was involved in Stephanie and John's death as I believe it is too much of a coincidence that they both died at such a major time, unless they were murdered. Maybe Isabella's regent Constantine of Baberon wanted shut of them? He had already exiled Isabella's mother, imprisoned Alice and killed Alice's son. What do you think? --David (talk) 15:06, 12 June 2011 (UTC)

Hello

I should inform you about the discussion I started here. Surtsicna (talk) 11:52, 14 June 2011 (UTC)

Music

Hey, what music do you like? Are you a Little Monster?--David (talk) 19:44, 14 June 2011 (UTC)

What is a Little Monster?...I don't know. I listen to Eminem, Rihanna, Black Eye Peas, Taylor Swift, some Lady Gaga, The Beatles, and also Chinese artists like Michael Wong, Jay Chou, S.H.E., and A-Mei.--Queen Elizabeth II's Little Spy (talk) 21:42, 14 June 2011 (UTC)
A little Monster is a Lady Gaga fan :) I like the Black Eyed Peas and Taylor Swift is ok; my friend went to see her recently, she phoned me up when Taylor was singing You Belong With Me, I could just make out the words over the screaming--David (talk) 14:30, 15 June 2011 (UTC)

Lists of consorts

It has been suggested that some of these lists are not particularly useful. It's been pointed out that List of consorts of Schwarzburg, for one, is incomplete. I noted that you haven't added anything to this article for quite a few months and I wondered if you are intending to go back and improve it. If not, it may be nominated for deletion. The same goes for several of these lists. Deb (talk) 21:22, 14 June 2011 (UTC)

The article List of consorts of Lippe has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

A collection of persons not notable enough to have their own wikipedia articles (at least as yet), with no apparent interest in completing this article by the contributor. See Wikipedia talk:Naming conventions (royalty and nobility)

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Deb (talk) 17:06, 15 June 2011 (UTC)

Princess Pauline of Anhalt-Bernburg

I can translate the page about Princess Pauline of Anhalt-Bernburg from German. It's quite a long page, though, so I'll do it one section at a time. I'll add the other pages you mentioned on my to-do list; I'll get around to those eventually.
I'll keep you informed.
