Lead paragraph for June 29th
[edit]A presidential and parliamentary election to the Palestinian National Authority is intended to be held on some point in the future. The presidential election was supposed to have occurred in early January 2009. Legislative elections were to occur in 2010.[1] The elections could not be celebrated so far due to the intra-Palestinian conflict between Fatah and Hamas.
Hi! The cupacabras in India, references please?
[edit]Hi Againme..
I am trying to obtain the dates and issues of the local newspapers here from the last week on.
They are taking time to locate it since its almost 13 years back.(1997)
I am co-ordinating with them and trying to get updates as soon as possible.
Initially I was not in favor of putting the reference there without the newspaper articles, but I thought I could at least make aware of anyone browsing it that the chupacabra problem was or is not indigenous only to Puerto Rico or the U.S. Though the wounds are dry and healed in the minds, there is still a generation of people in my state here who vividly remember 1997 for its strange events. I sometimes wonder how the global or for that matter the Indian national media could overlook such a panicked population in an entire state.
Anyway I shall get those references ASAP.
If you feel it is better to put the location name only backed with references or proof, I say go ahead .
Better to present all facts and locations properly than to stimulate rumors.

GOCE March drive newsletter
[edit] Guild of Copy Editors March 2012 backlog elimination drive update
Greetings from the Guild of Copy Editors March 2012 Backlog elimination drive! Here's the mid-drive newsletter. Participation: We have had 58 people sign up for this drive so far, which compares favorably with our last drive, and 27 have copy-edited at least one article. If you have signed up but have not yet copy-edited any articles, please consider doing so. Every bit helps! If you haven't signed up yet, it's not too late. Join us! Progress report: Our target of completing the 2010 articles has almost been reached, with only 56 remaining of the 194 we had at the start of the drive. The last ones are always the most difficult, so thank you if you are able to help copy-edit any of the remaining articles. We have reduced the total backlog by 163 articles so far. Special thanks: Special thanks to Stfg, who has been going through the backlog and doing some preliminary vetting of the articles—removing copyright violations, doing initial clean-up, and nominating some for deletion. This work has helped make the drive a more pleasant experience for all our volunteers. Your drive coordinators – Dianna (talk), Stfg (talk), and Dank (talk)To discontinue receiving GOCE newsletters, please remove your name from our mailing list. |
