[edit]Hello, I'm Donald Albury. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Taíno, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Donald Albury 14:44, 5 January 2022 (UTC)
I do have proof what is your specific issue. Eagle Eye.
My credentials are: I'm The Native American Lead Caciqué, Chief Of The Taíno Nation in Puerto Rico. I was born in Puerto Rico, my mother and father are both Natives as well. I have a Minor in History and my topic of expertise is Tainos History. I have 40 years experience in this subject. I don't speak as an outsider looking in. I speak, because I'm Taíno. ThePresidentoftheworld (talk) 22:28, 5 January 2022 (UTC)
Please do not add or change content, as you did at Arawakan languages, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. Magnolia677 (talk) 23:35, 5 January 2022 (UTC)
- We were in The Taíno article, but now you have questions about another article. Is that correct. 172.58.107.165 (talk) 23:55, 5 January 2022 (UTC)

Contested deletion
[edit]This page should not be speedily deleted because... (I corrected any mistakes that were mentioned and have been proactive at responding back to any issues. Also I started 7 days ago and my account is being ready to be deleted. I don't believe that I'm being help kindly by the community in Wikipedia, but I'm hopeful that a more just approach can be use rather than speedy deletion. I'm Done making contributions to Pages. I'm so busy with so many issues. I will like to request that Wikepedia protects my User Page and User Name so my people can find me. What are you trying to do on Johnuniq's talk page?
[edit]Because what you've done so far is past an entire copy of your userpage onto his talk page. Are you, perhaps, typing {{User:ThePresidentoftheworld}}
on his page? --Floquenbeam (talk) 00:45, 6 January 2022 (UTC)
- I was showing you the proof that my account of just 7 days is trying to get deleted and I need some help. I thought you guys were trying to help, but I can leave you alone. — Preceding unsigned comment added by ThePresidentoftheworld (talk • contribs) 00:55, 6 January 2022 (UTC)
- @Floquenbeam: It probably relates to the speedy-delete tag at User:ThePresidentoftheworld. That tag was placed any another party.@ThePresidentoftheworld: Please do not post at my talk unless it concerns me. As was explained, you are not blocked and there appears to be no connection between you and me. Possibly I blocked some other account. Where you using another account that is now blocked? Please reply here. Johnuniq (talk) 01:01, 6 January 2022 (UTC)
- (edit conflict) No one is trying to delete your account. Someone is proposing your user page be deleted, because it's purpose seems to be exclusively to provide links to your social media accounts. Since Wikipedia is not a social network, we don't really do user pages like that. But even if your user page is deleted or blanked, you are still free to edit. And I'm curious why you contacted Johnuniq in the first place, as he doesn't seem to have interacted with you at all, much less try to block your account. --Floquenbeam (talk) 01:04, 6 January 2022 (UTC)

. Donald Albury 01:22, 6 January 2022 (UTC)@Donald Albury: this feels a little too proactive; it all looks to me like a confused newbie, rather than a problem editor. Their article edits were reverted (correctly) but they seem to have been made in good faith. Am I missing something? I admit his contact with Johnuniq makes me wonder if there isn't some context I'm missing, and if you have experience that tells you this is a returning problem editor or something, then I'll defer to you. But if you're acting on just the extreme clumsiness that I see, I'd like to try talking first, if that's OK. --Floquenbeam (talk) 01:31, 6 January 2022 (UTC)
- @Floquenbeam: I was looking at the choice of user name and the place on their user page where they claimed to be leader of the Taino nation. Their only edits to article space were to Taino, where they repeated the claim that the Taino people still are a distinct people, and to the Arawak language, which was spoken by the historic Taino. There have been persistent attempts to edit the Taino article to claim that the Taino people still exist in the Greater Antilles, often citing self-promotional material from neo-Taino activists. The self-promption on their user and talk pages, and on Johnuniq's talk page, and the fact that they re-added that material after you removed it and explained to them that Johnuniq had no previous contact with them, convinced me that they were here to promote themselves, and not here to build the encyclopedia. - Donald Albury 01:58, 6 January 2022 (UTC)
- Aha, that's the missing piece of the puzzle. I was unaware of the systematic attempts. I just assumed from the other things you mention that it was a kid that maybe we could turn into an editor. Thanks for the explanation. --Floquenbeam (talk) 02:19, 6 January 2022 (UTC)
