Why am I unable to edit the Falling Down article?
What is the meaning behind this? Annexxation (talk) 17:05, 19 January 2018 (UTC)
- Questions about the content and editing of that article should be asked at the article talk page, where this matter has already been repeatedly debated. The hidden comment is there for good reason. ---The Old JacobiteThe '45 00:07, 20 January 2018 (UTC)
The Client cast
Hi mate, why did you undo my (correct) edit concerning Kim Coates? Is a "minor role" (as you put it) not part of the cast? Cheers, --Purzelbier (talk) 13:10, 26 January 2018 (UTC)
- We only list the most important members of the cast, not every role. Thanks. ---The Old JacobiteThe '45 13:59, 26 January 2018 (UTC)
- Well, if you say so - I'm not interested in an argument. But I'm rather sceptical about who is "we". Did "we" also do the cast of - let's say - JFK? There you find Bob Gunton, Ron Rifkin, Dale Dye, Vincent D'Onofrio - all of them known actors (like Kim Coates), all of them with diminutive roles of just some seconds (much more so than Kim Coates in The Client who is the killer chasing Brad Renfro). Who is "we" and how can "we" define which actors to name in the cast and which not? But as I said before - have it your way, I'll be fine without my edit anyway. --Purzelbier (talk) 15:20, 26 January 2018 (UTC)
Removing border
Please explain this? I removed the border because the image does not have straight edges. — Film Fan 09:26, 28 January 2018 (UTC)
- (talk page stalker). See this!
Start using the Preview.‑ ‑ Gareth Griffith‑Jones The Welsh Buzzard ‑ ‑ 10:39, 28 January 2018 (UTC)- I think you've got a little confused there, Gareth. The question was about the border being added back to a transparent image, and no relevant answer has been forthcoming. — Film Fan 18:26, 28 January 2018 (UTC)
- And now you're doing it again, without even answering why. The question was NOT answered by Gareth Griffith‑Jones, and has not been answered by you. Why are you adding a border to a transparent image? — Film Fan 00:00, 29 January 2018 (UTC)

My edits to Armageddon (1998 film)
If you write "shuttle", you mean any kind of ferry spacecraft, but if you type "Shuttle", you indicate the NASA Space Shuttle. The X-71s are also not properly Shuttles, but Space Shuttle orbiters, the reusable spaceplane sections of the craft.

Why are you reverting my edits? Category:1980s high school films is definitely not unsupported. I added Category:Coming-of-age comedy films based on the fact that the page is also categorized under Category:1980s coming-of-age films and Category:American coming-of-age films. If this is not a coming-of-age film, you might as well remove all coming-of-age-related categories. snapsnap (talk) 17:41, 4 February 2018 (UTC)
- I have removed all the coming-of-age cats. ---The Old JacobiteThe '45 23:20, 4 February 2018 (UTC)

FYI
Hello TOJ. I hope you are well. I saw Dawson City: Frozen Time last night. It is a fascinating film. The balance between straight documentary and art film is like nothing I've seen. While I don't expect anyone to like it as much as I do it is worth seeing for anyone with an interest in film history - and several other histories for that matter :-) Best regards. MarnetteD|Talk 20:15, 7 February 2018 (UTC)
- Yes, this is on my short list to see in the near future. I'm hoping to program it at the local art theatre here. Thanks! ---The Old JacobiteThe '45 14:51, 8 February 2018 (UTC)
- That would be wonderful TOJ. The more people that get to see it the better. I hope things work out for a showing at your local!! Cheers. MarnetteD|Talk 15:51, 8 February 2018 (UTC)

- Don't be ridiculous. The anon. made no attempt to indicate how those comments were relevant to improving the article. He simply offered some opinions about the plot, which were of no relevance or importance. ---The Old JacobiteThe '45 03:27, 12 February 2018 (UTC)
- I agree with the others. The IP editor commented on specific wording in the plot summary. This is not the kind of comment to be blanked, especially when there is a slight doubt about it being fully irrelevant. Blanking is for comments like, "OMG this film is soooo good it's one of my favorites!" Etc. Even a complaint about the film in general could be parlayed into asking or stating something about the article reflecting the negative aspect or not. Three billboards
Could you, please, explain this edition[1]? According to IMDB ([2]) Sandy Martin was credited (in cast credit order between Malaya Rivera Drew and Peter Dinklage) but it is not written where. What does exactly mean "cast is in closing credits order and the names are as credited"? As far as I understand, some names may be listed in different section of the closing credits, with or without detailed information who played whom. Anyway, it is just the fact that Sandy Martin played the role of Momma Dixon. Where should be this information added if, according to some definition of "closing credits" she was not credited? Tescobar (talk) 18:38, 14 February 2018 (UTC)
- We don't list every actor who appeared in the film, wherever they may be in the credits. We only list those that are notable. ---The Old JacobiteThe '45 00:57, 15 February 2018 (UTC)
Inland Empire (film)
Hi. Can you check whether you agree with Gentlecollapse6's edits at Inland Empire (film)? I don't know if I agree with most of what they did, so I restored part of the previous revision (and then again, they may not be finished editing for the moment). Ss112 10:36, 25 February 2018 (UTC)
Happy St. David's Day
The leek is one of the national emblems of Wales, worn along with the daffodil (in Welsh, the daffodil is known as "Peter's leek", Cenhinen Bedr) on St. David's Day. According to one legend, King Cadwaladr of Gwynedd ordered his soldiers to identify themselves by wearing the vegetable on their helmets in an ancient battle against the Saxons that took place in a leek field.[1] Cheers!‑ ‑ Gareth Griffith‑Jones The Welsh Buzzard ‑ ‑ 15:55, 28 February 2018 (UTC)
