Hello Jonathan, I'm not sure you're quire ready for this yet. If you want to go through with it, that's your decision, but I think you still need more work. Regards, Keilanatalk(recall) 23:22, 8 January 2008 (UTC)
Allow me to strongly suggest you don't run yet, due to experience concerns. Dihydrogen Monoxide 23:22, 8 January 2008 (UTC)
He told my old account via e-mail that he wanted to run for RfA. BoL 23:27, 8 January 2008 (UTC)
I regretfully decline this offer. I don't really think I'm ready just yet, but I am willing to try, say, in March. I'll contact you when I would like to be nominated. Thanks for the offer, though! Jonathan § 23:42, 8 January 2008 (UTC)

Heinrich Hertz

Please consider re-visiting Talk:Heinrich Hertz#jewish ancestry. I'd be interested in your feedback about the suggested edit strategy I've proposed. --Ooperhoofd (talk) 15:34, 11 January 2008 (UTC)

My userpage.

Please leave it alone. A random list of names is not "attacks". Furthermore, it is MY userpage, and therefore I should be able to do with it what I want to. Thanks. P.S: How/why did you discover my page?KnatLouie (talk) 18:13, 11 January 2008 (UTC)

I can see how you got confused, as the list originally started out being a bit hateful. But now it serves merely as a list of editors who have deleted things I have created (and since I mostly only edit low-profile things, they must be very attentive). I do not wish to stalk or personally attack any user, the list is purely there for my own reference. P.P.S: How/why did you discover my page?KnatLouie (talk) 22:38, 11 January 2008 (UTC)

I saw a few diffs on VandalFighter and thought I'd take a look at this. Sorry!

Moved from the top...

WHAT IS SO BAD about what i said about this guy i am saying i just wrote something about him, He is a notable man. Thank you —Preceding unsigned comment added by Slick legend (talkcontribs)

You will be blocked if this behavior continues. Wikipedia is not the place to say thank-you for a paint job. Jonathan § 00:15, 12 January 2008 (UTC)
I removed the further edits he made from the top of your page. You can restore if you want. More attacky stuff. --SmashvilleBONK! 00:30, 12 January 2008 (UTC)

I've blocked the user for 8 hours for WP:PA. If the pattern continues after the expiry of the block (or on his/her talk page), a indefinite block will be more than justified. But let's hope not :). Happy editing, Snowolf How can I help? 00:47, 12 January 2008 (UTC)

I am not making tests!

I moved the information from the infobox to a subpage. I know what I am doing.Nergaal (talk) 01:12, 12 January 2008 (UTC)

are you even reading my edits before you rever them!? Nergaal (talk) 01:13, 12 January 2008 (UTC)
please go ahead and delete Template:Infobox carbon and Template:Infobox carbon too.Nergaal (talk) 01:19, 12 January 2008 (UTC)
you clearly have no idea of WikiProject Elements and you do not care for other people's time. Please stop being annoying and go find something useful to do. also, please reply to my posts.Nergaal (talk) 01:23, 12 January 2008 (UTC)

The next time you make a personal attack, you will be blocked for disruption. Comment on content, not on other contributors or people

What contributions are you referring to? Nominating for deletion without consulting with the creator? How is this a contribution?Nergaal (talk) 01:28, 12 January 2008 (UTC)
Answers: a) calling me annoying and telling me to find something else to do. b) we don't need the creator's consent to nom something for deletion. c) I'm trying to keep this encyclopedia's templates to what it needs. Jonathan § 01:33, 12 January 2008 (UTC)
so let me see if I understood what you said: your contribution is "keep this encyclopedia's templates to what it needs" + take about half an hour of your time and half an hour if my time for one such template?Nergaal (talk) 01:46, 12 January 2008 (UTC)

REALLY????

You mean I can blank your userpage and you won't block me????--I am sooooo cool! 21:44, 12 January 2008 (UTC)

No. That isn't a good faith vandal edit. I've also just removed that notice. Tanks for visiting my userpage, though! Jonathan § 21:47, 12 January 2008 (UTC)
Okay, then what is a good faith edit?--I am sooooo cool! 21:49, 12 January 2008 (UTC)

Name of Gustav

You've set it up to have two pages redirecting to each other. Please choose one or the other to be the real page and change it to not just be a redirect. You might want to discuss it at Talk:Gustav Horn, Count of Pori#Name?. --Coppertwig (talk) 02:39, 13 January 2008 (UTC)

User:213.67.64.22 seems to be trying to (incorrectly) move the page to Gustav Horn af Björneborg. If you are opposed to the move, please say so at Talk:Gustav Horn, Count of Pori#Name?. If you are not opposed to the move, please either leave the situation alone, or else discuss with User:213.67.64.22 how to accomplish the move correctly as I describe on the talk page. --Coppertwig (talk) 03:08, 13 January 2008 (UTC)

Three apologies, a correction, and a request:

Apologies: I'm sorry I misconstrued your role in this matter. I thought you were a party in a content dispute. Now I see that you probably came to the page via Recent Changes just as I did, and were just trying to fix it, just as I was. I'm sorry that I unnecessarily reported this matter to WP:AN/I#Redirect war at Gustav Horn, Count of Pori. And I'm sorry that I neglected to inform you that I had done so.

Correction: The test templates are only supposed to be used in response to vandalism. This user was not vandalising on the above-mentioned pages, but trying to accomplish a page move for which I believe there's consensus on the talk page. The user may have been using an incorrect method (cut-and-paste) to do the move, but it was in good faith and was not vandalism. The user seemed understandably angry at your use of the test template.

Request: If you don't oppose a page move/rename from Gustav Horn, Count of Pori to Gustav Horn af Björneborg, please say so clearly (e.g. at Talk:Gustav Horn, Count of Pori#Name? so that I can establish that there is no opposition to the move, after which I can put in a request at Wikipedia:Requested moves to have the move done properly by an admin. Thanks, and sorry again for the confusion. --Coppertwig (talk) 15:57, 13 January 2008 (UTC)

Content dispute, not vandalism, apparently

Im not vandalism so stop trying to be almighty on something you have no knowledge about —Preceding unsigned comment added by Chicagofacts (talkcontribs) 00:25, 14 January 2008 (UTC)

Re this "final warning" you posted: Apparently this was in response to the user's edits at Latin kings; however, if I'm not mistaken, the user had, a few days previously, posted an explanation of the deletions on the talk page of that article. Please assume good faith, don't bite the newbies, and check the talk page before assuming an edit is unexplained. Content disputes are not to be treated as vandalism. Thanks! --Coppertwig (talk) 13:18, 14 January 2008 (UTC)

uw-username

When using {{uw-username}} as you did here, please remember to specify a parameter explaining what your specific concern about the user's username is. —Random832 19:51, 14 January 2008 (UTC)

Comments

By the way, I've been meaning to tell you that I really like some of your edit summaries, e.g. "General note: Editing tests". Did you think that up yourself, or was it from instructions or something? I think I'll start using that edit summary when posting uw-test1 templates, and I might try to get it put into instructions for the templates, as a suggestion.

(Note: I made a mistake here. Coppertwig (talk) 13:26, 15 January 2008 (UTC)) Re Wikipedia:Suspected sock puppets/EiWit: I could be wrong, but I think sockpuppet reports are only supposed to be done in cases of suspicion of abusive sockpuppetry. In this case, the IP account has only edited the user talk page and user page. Also, people sometimes forget to log in. I don't think that's considered a problem unless they seem to be using the two accounts to look like two people adding weight to one side of a discussion. --Coppertwig (talk) 03:35, 15 January 2008 (UTC)

OK, I guess I was wrong. Sorry. However, it would be helpful if your sockpuppet report would mention the other usernames the user has also used, or a link to another sockpuppet report about the same user, or something. Otherwise it looks like the situation I described above. Rocksanddirt has added a comment to the report which clarifies it in this way. --Coppertwig (talk) 03:41, 15 January 2008 (UTC)

Avatar Season 1

We know it is Book 1, but we are following the other wiki-format. We discussed and added a redirect. The entire project is fine as season 1. Otherwise it messes up links on other pages. ~Pakaroo (talk) 00:47, 16 January 2008 (UTC)

???????????I dont know who you are. But..since you're here..do you guys know anything about book reports on buses? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Johnnnathan (talkcontribs) 00:33, 17 January 2008 (UTC)

I was reading the tutorials you've written so far, and, in my opinion, they looked a little short. Do you mind if I expand them a bit? we are trying to create a tutorial that people can look back at and be refered to if they need help, and your articles don't go too far beyond the basics. The Placebo Effect (talk) 02:46, 17 January 2008 (UTC)

I was having the same thought, and am assuming this is blanket permission. It's the wiki way you know continue to improve on others good work. Jeepday (talk) 03:11, 18 January 2008 (UTC)
I expanded the first two sections of User:Jonathan/Citations a bit. Hope I have not offended anyone by getting a little carried away. Stopping now. Jeepday (talk) 04:34, 18 January 2008 (UTC)
I've expanded (a bit) the article User:Jonathan/Where to find help on editing. -- John Broughton (♫♫) 17:03, 18 January 2008 (UTC)

Your complaints page

You might want to rethink your "if you don't supply a diff, I'll ignore your complaint" approach. I think other editors might consider that as contrary to WP:BITE, particularly since you don't even supply a link to the page on how to do a diff. Such a link, plus perhaps something like "I may not be able to figure out what you complaint is about if you don't leave a diff" (rather than saying you're going to ignore the complaint) would be much more encouraging to newcomers who really don't understand what they did wrong. -- John Broughton (♫♫) 17:09, 18 January 2008 (UTC)

Delaware Survivor

Help!

I tried creating an article about the local Delaware Survivor show. I am in no way affiliated with the show, and I am just a fan who happens to be a amateur videographer who finds it amazing that Tyler Ford and his team have taken their small east coast show and now have national recognition with fans all over the country!

This is NOT promoting or advertising, as I do not have any affiliation with the show. They have a HUGE fan base on ezBoard community and I wanted to post a article about how big the Survivor Lounge is, and I saw their is an article about the Survivor Sucks message board, so there is no reason why this show should not have an article.

Please help! —Preceding unsigned comment added by Desurvivor (talkcontribs) 23:29, 13 January 2008 (UTC)
