Please cite
[edit]Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! We welcome and appreciate your contributions, such as Hilary Duff, but we regretfully cannot accept original research. Please find and add a reliable citation to your recent edit so we can verify your work. Uncited information may be removed at any time. Thanks for your efforts, and happy editing! --Yamla 16:11, 25 October 2006 (UTC)
Your recent contribution(s) to to the Wikipedia article Play with Fire (song) are very much appreciated. However, you did not provide references or sources for your information. Keeping Wikipedia accurate and verifiable is very important, and as you might be aware there is currently a drive to improve the quality of Wikipedia by encouraging editors to cite the sources they used when adding content. If sources are left unreferenced, it may count as original research, which is not allowed. Can you provide in the article specific references to any books, articles, websites or other reliable sources that will allow people to verify the content in the article? You can use a citation method listed at inline citations that best suits each article. Thanks! Extraordinary Machine 20:40, 16 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit]This article has been deleted again. I can find no evidence that you nominated it for undeletion, though it is entirely likely that you were unaware the article was deleted earlier today. Additionally, the article was (still) blatant advertising. Please see WP:NOT, this content is inappropriate on the Wikipedia. --Yamla 17:25, 6 December 2006 (UTC)

Hilary Duff
[edit]Your contributions to Hilary Duff are good and all, but you cannot take pictures from other websites as they are under copyright. "Currentness" of a picture does not matter. The picture on the Hilary Duff article is FREE, because the creator of the picture has released all his/her rights to it, so it can be used on Wikipedia. The picture you keep changing to is clearly copyrighted; it even has a watermark of a Hilary Duff fan page. Please see WP:FU for more details. SKS2K6 07:54, 18 February 2007 (UTC)
Image copyright problem with Image:Hilary-innewyork207.jpg
[edit]Thank you for uploading Image:Hilary-innewyork207.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Muchness 08:54, 18 February 2007 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for Image:With Love2.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:With Love2.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Yamla 16:36, 12 March 2007 (UTC)

"Controversey" on Dignity (album)
[edit]Please don't sensationalise trivial items of information by putting words like "controversey" before them. Billboard magazine made a mistake, nothing more; it hasn't been reported in any articles that I can find, and it certainly isn't a "Controversey". Also, when you wrote "Controversey" it was a) incorrectly capitalised - it should begin with a small "c" because it isn't a proper noun, and b) it's spelt "controversy". Thanks. Your edits to Dignity (album) and other articles
[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. We invite everyone to contribute constructively to our encyclopedia. However, adding content without citing a reliable source, as you did to Dignity (album), is not consistent with our policy of verifiability. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Extraordinary Machine 15:42, 29 June 2007 (UTC)
- Please do not add content without citing reliable sources, as you did to Dignity (album). Before making potentially controversial edits, it is recommended that you discuss them first on the article's talk page. Thank you. Note also that changing already cited material, such as the worldwide sales figure, is considered disruption, and may lead to you temporarily being blocked from editing if you do it again. Extraordinary Machine 20:13, 8 July 2007 (UTC)
- Please do not add unsourced or original content, as you did to Dignity (album). Doing so violates Wikipedia's verifiability policy. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. Extraordinary Machine 00:47, 27 July 2007 (UTC)
Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Milagros.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Milagros.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 04:44, 1 October 2007 (UTC)
Orphaned non-free media (Image:Reachoutsj7.png)
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Reachoutsj7.png. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 23:28, 11 October 2007 (UTC)

Replaceable fair use Image:Lizzie Mcg.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Lizzie Mcg.jpg. I noticed the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the image description page and edit it to add
{{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}
, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template. - On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or a similar) image under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, fair use images which could be replaced by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if not used in an article), per our Fair Use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. NrDg 22:00, 7 November 2007 (UTC)

Hand on My Heart
[edit]A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Hand on My Heart, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. If you agree with the deletion of the article, and you are the only person who has made substantial edits to the page, please add {{db-author}}
to the top of Hand on My Heart. —Hello, Control Hello, Tony 19:51, 27 February 2008 (UTC)
Another editor has added the {{prod}}
template to the article Faded (Haylie Duff song), suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but the editor doesn't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and has explained why in the article (see also Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not and Wikipedia:Notability). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia or discuss the relevant issues at its talk page. If you remove the {{prod}}
template, the article will not be deleted, but note that it may still be sent to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. BJBot (talk) 03:02, 4 March 2008 (UTC)
License tagging for Image:Raventourgd6.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Raventourgd6.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.
For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 09:05, 22 June 2008 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of What Goes Up (film)
[edit]A proposed deletion template has been added to the article What Goes Up (film), suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:
- Future films are not notable without substantial coverage in independent reliable sources. None provided, none found. (IMDb is not a reliable source and dvdlist is a mirror of IMDb.)
All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}

File copyright problem with File:Raiseyourvoice1.jpg
[edit]Thank you for uploading File:Raiseyourvoice1.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright and licensing status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can verify that it has an acceptable license status and a verifiable source. Please add this information by editing the image description page. You may refer to the image use policy to learn what files you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. The page on copyright tags may help you to find the correct tag to use for your file.
