Your contributed article, Richard Clebert

[edit]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

Hello, I noticed that you recently created a new page, Richard Clebert. First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as you. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page – Richard Clebert (American football). Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will continue helping to improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at Richard Clebert (American football) – you might like to discuss new information at the article's talk page.

If you think that the article you created should remain separate, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. ...William 02:28, 25 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Category:Tampa Bay Buccaneers players

[edit]

Please stop removing that category. Thanks.--Yankees10 02:21, 4 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Can you please not remove the category. The category is for everybody that played with the Bucs. Just because a player isn't on the team anymore doen'st mean the category is removed.--Yankees10 22:56, 6 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Again, for the third time, stop removing the category.--Yankees10 23:41, 29 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Tbbucs, it is the consensus practice of WikiProject National Football League (WP:NFL) that all players who have ever played for a given NFL team shall be listed under the category for players of that NFL team. This practice is consistent with that for all college athletes, including football and basketball players (we don't delete categories for college players when they transfer or graduate), as well as all other professional sports with which I am familiar, including players who have ever played in MLB, the NBA, the NFL, the NHL, and the WNBA. This also applies to all non-American professional athlete team categories I have encountered as well. So, yeah, Yankees10 is right. Dirtlawyer1 (talk) 00:28, 30 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Need for sourced footnotes

[edit]

Greetings, Tbucs. I just reviewed one of your recent edits: [2]. Please consider that all facts added to the biographies of living persons should have a sourced footnote to support them per WP:BLP, WP:V and WP:RS. Rather than simply revert your edit, I thought I would let you know and give you the opportunity to fix it yourself. Regards, Dirtlawyer1 (talk) 22:53, 16 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

NFL bio footnotes

[edit]

Tbbucs, I'm not going to revert it, but edits like this [3] really should be footnoted with a reliable source when the text is added per WP:BLP, WP:V and WP:RS. When someone goes in three or four years later to improve or clean up the article, those transactional articles about contract signings, etc., can be damned difficult to find. Regards, Dirtlawyer1 (talk) 23:48, 23 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The article Nick Speller has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Article appears to fail WP:GNG. No evidence player meets WP:NGRIDIRON or WP:NCOLLATH

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

The article Mason Robinson (American football) has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this newly created biography of a living person will be deleted unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Articles on new pro football players.

[edit]

If you are going to create articles about Football players, you need to familiarize yourself with the notability standard for them. You will find it at WP:NGRIDIRON. Please note that football players who have not actually played yet in a regular or postseason game are not eligible for a Wikipedia article. Also note that all biographical articles must have at least one WP:RS reference. You cannot remove a BLPPROD until you have added one. Gtwfan52 (talk) 05:29, 29 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

NFL bios

[edit]

As Gtwfan52 said at 05:29, 29 July 2013 (UTC) above, you need to familiarize yourself with WP:NGRIDIRON before continuing to waste your time creating articles that are destined to be deleted. The policy is simple, if the player hasn't yet played in a regular season game, they are not notable enough to have an article created. If you have questions, please ask. -- Mufka (u) (t) (c) 19:52, 5 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to T. J. Fatinikun may have broken the syntax by modifying 1 "()"s and 1 "{}"s likely mistaking one for another. If you have, don't worry: just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Rashaan Melvin (American football), and it appears to include material copied directly from http://www.wikigrain.org/?req=Rashaan+Melvin.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.

Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Scott Solomon may have broken the syntax by modifying 1 "()"s and 1 "{}"s likely mistaking one for another. If you have, don't worry: just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

List of unpaired brackets remaining on the page:
  • * [[Tampa Bay Buccaneers]] ({{NFL Year|2014}}}
  • }}

Free agent

[edit]

Free agent doesn't go there, the Status is for "Active, injured, etc.". It says roster status, you can't have a roster status if you're a free agent. Sry for being annoyingWikiOriginal-9 (talk) 00:49, 3 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Jocquel Skinner, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Bethel University. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Free agent

[edit]

I already messaged you, but the |status parameter is for stuff like "active, injured, suspended". You can put free agent on the currentteam. You can do whatever you want but it isn't necessary to add that. Thanks WikiOriginal-9 (talk) 23:24, 9 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of Willie Moseley

[edit]

The article Willie Moseley has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Fails WP:NGRIDIRON. A Google search shows no reliable, independent sources that cover Moseley in depth

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. The article Amir Murillo has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no reliable references. Under Wikipedia policy, this biography of a living person will be deleted after seven days unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp/dated}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within seven days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one.
