I wonder why you removed {{catimprove}}? Accident, or some reason I can't fathom? Birth and death cats aren't enough - she needs nationality, saint, kind of saint, etc. Needs expansion too, of course: I'll try and add a bit more from the sources. PamD 07:34, 14 December 2015 (UTC)

PamD When I left it, it had birth, death, Spain, saint. If the basics (DOB, DOD, living, nationality, occupation) are covered, cats can always be added. We have found, and discussed it several times on the project talk page, that tags are almost like asking for an AfD nomination. But if you want to flag it, certainly do that. It's WP, anyone can edit. My intent is never to cause grief, but prevent it. SusunW (talk) 07:55, 14 December 2015 (UTC)

Ah, I've been through this misunderstanding loop myself, removing the tag and being told why it should stay. Stub categories "Don't count". When you left it had birth and death as "real" categories", and a stub tag which put it into "Saint stubs" and "Spanish religious biography stubs". If the article expands and the stub tag gets removed ... it falls out of any categories other than the birth and death date ones. It needs to have proper categories, or a tag asking for them. So an article can be "Uncategorised" even if it has a stub tag putting it into stub categories, or "Catimprove" ditto. I don't normally do much about adding categories - subject experts tend to know their way around the systems in their own areas, I specialise more in stub tagging, and I'm often editing on my mobile where categories are inaccessible. But I've found her a few good detailed categories now.

You say "Tags are almost like asking for an AfD nomination"? If something's the matter with an article, fix it. If the tag is inappropriate, remove it (there are some power-crazy idiots doing New Page Patrol). But please don't remove tags just because you don't like seeing them on an article and are worried it might go to AfD. PamD 08:27, 14 December 2015 (UTC)

Ipigott Thank you for the edits! I spent most of the day on it yesterday and told Dr. B I'd do the rest today. Thank you for your help. There is a book by Zander that I had asked Gerda to peruse, as it seems pretty extensive. It may have items to add, but I have no way to put it into a translator. Anyway, I'll see what I can do with the rest and then it will need another copyedit, I am sure. I also put a note on the weird PDF thing to alert people that it will open with Microsoft Word. The nominator may refute your objection, but it's important that you state it. Frankly, too many dry and boring hooks are being passed because the reviewer isn't saying anything. Thanks Yoninah. I appreciate your perspective. I am always leery, as it would be my POV. If the hook is wrong, obviously, I want it corrected, but if the information is accurate, and I find it distasteful or boring, how is that just not me? Censorship to me is a slippery slope, but maybe its just that I don't like to make waves. Way too many reviewers of DYK are not very nice, supportive, or proactive in their assessments, it seems to me. I also find it weird that the reviewer cannot propose something that is supported without recusing themselves as the reviewer, but that's again my POV. SusunW (talk) 19:20, 26 December 2015 (UTC)

Yeah, I realize that you are the consummate hostess, making sure everyone's comfortable! Regarding your latter point, reviewers shouldn't review their own suggestions from the point of view of independent verification. From the initial review to prep building and queue promotion, different sets of eyes are supposed to look at the hook to make sure it's accurate ... and even then, errors are found by readers when it hits the main page. I have often recused myself from a review in order to propose a better hook – which serves the purposes of DYK much better, I think. Yoninah (talk) 19:38, 26 December 2015 (UTC)

I learn new ways to look at this crazy system every day Yoninah And yes, it is always my hope that if a mistake is made, someone will catch it. Try as we will, we can be assured there will be mistakes. I cleared 3 last week that just seemed to be hanging waiting on someone to clear a newly proposed hook. It seems to me that sometimes those get hung up when actually it's a fairly simple clear since (hopefully) the rest of the review has already been done. I guess people don't want to do them because they don't really count as a QPQ, but I just figure it's being neighborly. :) SusunW (talk) 19:53, 26 December 2015 (UTC)

I've created it, as it doesn't seem to exist anywhere. I suspect it hasn't been created because we have categories for the various ambassadors, and also Category:American consuls, so it would be viewed as unnecessary. One discrepancy: The Rhode Island Jewish Historical Notes pamphlet (p. 127) said she helped build 80 synagogues during the last two years of her life when she lived in Israel. Thanks! Yoninah. I'm almost finished, well, maybe. Doing a bit of tweaking here and there. Found some sources with the Jewish Telegraphic Agency that add a bit of depth to the world affairs. I tend to think that accounts closer to when the events happened are usually more accurate. There are various mentions in the newspaper accounts, 30 synagogues built, 60 synagogues built, etc., thus I tend to think the newspaper accounts are more correct. But, I honestly don't know. Funnily enough I looked at it about an hour ago and thought it had GA potential. I was going to upload a fair use image for you, there;s one which looks liek a locket which looks good but would need to be shrunken down. @Dr. Blofeld and Yoninah: I just realized that. There are some before 1923, but they are awful, totally black and unrecognizable. This is the one I marked as a good photo ... [1] but if I clip it, it is really grainy. I don't know how Victuallers gets amazing images, but he took one on a recent file from [this see page 2 to Edith Mansford Fitzgerald. @Dr. Blofeld and Yoninah: Thank you for the photos Dr. B. I've kind of been in and out all day. Got folks on their way in on the bus, so am getting ready and then my mom will be here in two days. My busy time family time is now. ;) I've read back through it and checked references. I think she's pretty well set. The only thing I am not sure of is whether I need to specify in the lede that her VPs were honorary. To me, it doesn't matter, as she was still the only woman and I discussed in the article how she used that to her advantage. Several sources don't indicate that they were voluntary, but I am positive they were. I don't want anyone to think it is misleading. What are your thoughts? I did some more checking around the internet and added a source, but everything already seems to be mentioned in your article. Regarding the honorary vice presidencies: maybe all of the executive positions at Hadassah and American Jewish Congress are voluntary? The pictures are terrific, thanks, @Dr. Blofeld:.
