Steamboat Willie
Hello Sumanull, thank you for your help coordinating the Media of the Day for 1 January 2024. Please allow me to clarify a couple of things so there is no confusion:
– Steamboat Willie will famously enter into the Public Domain on 1 January 2024.
– We will celebrate this event with a post on the Diff blog that is currently being finalised.
– The existing Steamboat Willie file on Commons will be undeleted on the late evening of 31 December 2023.
Thank you again, and please let me know if you have any questions! Gnom (talk) 10:18, 2 December 2023 (UTC)
- Gotcha. I was just bothered because I couldn't find a separate discussion re undeletion and it wasn't the image originally used. - Sumanuil. (talk to me) 20:21, 2 December 2023 (UTC)

Hybrid airship
Thanks for the revert. I went back to it and after I enlarged the image I saw that the airship was flying toward the camera and not to the right as I had thought from the thumb image. It really was a flying wing and not a lifting body! Oh, my poor eyes... Tfdavisatsnetnet (talk) 02:18, 10 January 2024 (UTC)
Indian Navy ensign
Hello @Sumanuil:
As the new ensign of the Indian air force have been updated on country data template, can you please revert back your edits on topic related to the air force, as it would be very difficult for me to manualy undo each one.
Regards Peshab Kar Raha Hu (talk) 17:14, 17 January 2024 (UTC)
I'll revert some of them at least, but I am of the opinion that some of them don't need the little flag icon that the template adds. - Sumanuil. (talk to me) 23:18, 17 January 2024 (UTC)
- Okay with me. Peshab Kar Raha Hu (talk) 13:37, 19 January 2024 (UTC)
Thanks. I had just hit enter to make the same correction but you beat me to it. THANKS again. Nirva20 (talk) 00:13, 29 February 2024 (UTC)
Jueves (song) moved to draftspace
Thanks for your contributions to Jueves (song). Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it has no sources. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.
Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. microbiologyMarcus (petri dish·growths) 14:39, 19 February 2024 (UTC)

Oasis worldwide sales
Hi I believe Oasis have now passed the 75 million records sales worldwide. Can you look at this please ?. Can you add them to the list of the biggest selling artists of all time please ?. Kind Regards 31.200.189.175 (talk) 17:50, 29 February 2024 (UTC)
You should probably ask on the article's talk page. - Sumanuil. (talk to me) 01:04, 1 March 2024 (UTC)
Hull Botanic Gardens railway station
Further to your query on my talk page, since the Wikipedia article is headed Hull Botanic Gardens railway station, I ensured that the railway station on the route map was named accordingly.
Xenophon Philosopher (talk) 23:09, 4 March 2024 (UTC)
- That wasn't the route map. That was an image file name. - Sumanuil. (talk to me) 00:47, 5 March 2024 (UTC)
Do you agree that the route map is now correct?
Xenophon Philosopher (talk) 19:46, 5 March 2024 (UTC)
- Seems like it. Just don't "correct" any more file names, ok? - Sumanuil. (talk to me) 00:36, 6 March 2024 (UTC)
Removing a file that does exist
I read the edit-notice:)
In this edit, you removed two images, without explanation. So "without explanation" is annoying. But on substance, File:Plutonocene.jpg of them was in the process of being deleted from enwiki for license reasons, so obviously it's no problem to remove an image that won't exist (though it has now been recreated and so re-added). But File:Neptunocene-from-xtal-3D-balls.png was and is still present on commons, and is validly PD-licensed. What is the reason for removing the 3D-balls file? DMacks (talk) 02:20, 6 March 2024 (UTC)
- The file name indicated it was an image of Neptunocene, not Plutonocene, so I thought it might have been misplaced.21:31, 6 March 2024 (UTC)
- Thanks for clarifying (would have been appropriate to include an edit-summary saying that, to save several of us some time). DMacks (talk) 16:02, 9 March 2024 (UTC)

ahah
very good point, I see the problem, the | line between the file name and the descriptors being the magic line, thanks for pointing that out! cheers JarrahTree 02:05, 14 March 2024 (UTC)
Australian Army Aviation Corps
Hello Sumanuil, could you look at my question to you sent on March 14 (it was included on this talk page on March 14)
Hello Sumanuil. In the article entitled "Austalian Army Aviation", I had added "Corps" to the first line of the article so that it read "Australian Army Aviation Corps". I did this because the full name of the Corps is the "Australian Army Aviation Corps" and not "Australian Army Aviation". Please see this link from the Australian Army which sets out the full name: https://www.army.gov.au/about-us/army-corps/australian-army-aviation-corps By reverting my edit, it restored the incomplete name of the Corps in the article. I realize that the title of the article is "Austrlian Army Aviation". If this is the reason that you reverted my edit, is there a way to change the name of the article to "Australian Army Aviation Corps"? I read your notice about edit reversions but the reasons do not seem to apply here. If they do, what should I do to ensure that the the correct name "Australian Army Aviation Corps" can be used in the article? Greenwood10 (talk) 16:08, 14 March 2024 (UTC) Greenwood10 (talk) 00:30, 16 March 2024 (UTC)
Then read it again. You "corrected" a file name. You also didn't provide a source. - Sumanuil. (talk to me) 00:58, 16 March 2024 (UTC)
Tagging pages for speedy deletion
Hello, Sumanuil,
Please do not tag pages for CSD G5 speedy deletion unless the page creator is not only the major contributor to the article or draft but if they are a CONFIRMED sockpuppet of a block-evading editor, ideally through an SPI complaint. Having suspicions about an editor doesn't warrant deleting their contributions. If you believe an editor is a sockpuppet, file a case at SPI or contact a checkuser on their talk page. Thank you. Liz Read! Talk! 07:03, 18 March 2024 (UTC)
Got it. But the template dates being from BEFORE the current article's creation is kind of shady, for one. - Sumanuil. (talk to me) 08:09, 18 March 2024 (UTC)

Editing of Holly Goldberg Sloan
Sumanuil-- I appreciate you attention to detail and the work you do for WIKI. I have restored the page as edited before for Holly Goldberg Sloan/First Condon. I am Holly Goldberg Sloan (and I write to you from Belgrade where I am on location working on a TV show). I have added in the information regarding my high school (South Eugene) and the NYTimes summer pick and the Christopher Award win. These are all very impactful in my career and are hard facts, not something that can be disputed.
Can you please tell me what I can do (other than provide the NYTimes link, the high school link, the Christopher Award publicity via a link)? I confess that I don't understand the process and I don't know what I'm doing wrong when I try to add or correct the entry.
Additionally, my father Lewis R. Goldberg is still alive, and he is a prominent social scientist. He wanted my page to link to his page. I think that might have also been removed at one point, as well as the names of my children.
Again, thank you for your help making this right. All best, Holly PS I do not understand how to add a photo. FirstCondon (talk) 11:19, 28 March 2024 (UTC)
- Stop. You are not allowed to edit the article about yourself, per Wikipedia's conflict of interest policy. - Sumanuil. (talk to me) 20:42, 28 March 2024 (UTC)
Airport
Thank you for your feedback on the edits to the Kotoka International Airport page. I appreciate your concern about sourcing and content integrity. I am committed to maintaining Wikipedia's high standards and assure you that my additions are intended to enrich the article with verified information.
To resolve this issue, I propose we collaboratively review the sources and content. I'm open to revising my edits to align with Wikipedia's guidelines and would welcome your guidance on this. Could we work together to ensure the article is both accurate and comprehensive?
Looking forward to your input.
- All you need to do is to stop replacing sourced content with unsourced content. Or, in other words, provide sources in your version.19:46, 24 April 2024 (UTC)

Muhammad FAQ revert
I don't know why I'm spending so much effort defending your revert on Talk:Muhammad/FAQ. But there it is, if you want to comment: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:Par_%C3%A2pre_aux_astres#We_don't_do_disclaimers - I can't decide if this is a WP:NOTHERE situation; the editor has been civil and edits have been in good faith, albeit misguided. ~Anachronist (talk) 23:45, 23 June 2024 (UTC)
- It wasn't originally mine, and I don't actually care all that much. Decide what you like. Although their wording was bad, as it seemingly equated NPOV with "disrespect for Muslims". - Sumanuil. (talk to me) 00:10, 24 June 2024 (UTC)

Spare some time?
Hi, there is a move discussion at Talk:Public Sector Undertakings in India which is receiving less participation and is likely to be closed without a clear consensus. I would greatly appreciate if you could spare some time and leave your valuable opinion. Thank you. Have a great day. 2409:4073:104:92C2:9939:2182:D47D:646F (talk) 16:32, 1 July 2024 (UTC)
Gaiety Theatre
Hi. Would you please tell me why you reverted my edit in Fox Film? Gaiety Theatre (New York City) is now redirected to the disambiguation page (Gaiety Theatre), but I think the Gaiety Theatre in the article of Fox Film refers to Embassy Five Theatre, known as Gaiety Theatre around 1910. Do you think the Gaiety Theatre in the article of Fox Film may not be Embassy Five Theatre and the link to the disambiguation page is safer? --saebou (talk) 07:05, 27 July 2024 (UTC)
- You're the one who changed the target of that redirect. It previously redirected to Embassy Five Theatre, in which case you would have been changing the link to (seemingly) avoid the redirect when you didn't need to. - Sumanuil. (talk to me) 08:20, 27 July 2024 (UTC)
- I changed the link back to the Embassy Five Theatre. Gaiety Theatre (New York City) had already been redirected to the disambiguation page when you did the edit. --saebou (talk) 15:13, 27 July 2024 (UTC)
Abel Tasman portrait
Hi,
here is a link to the Netherlands Institute for Art History which states that this painting is wrongly called the family of Abel Tasman. https://research.rkd.nl/en/detail/https%3A%2f%2fdata.rkd.nl%2fimages%2f131424
According to the art dealer who sold the painting to the National Library of Australia in 1959, the painting was sold by a ROBERT SPRINGER at an auction at Christie's in London in 1877. After Tasman's death in 1659 his widow married Jan Meynderts SPRINGER and the art dealer fabricated a provenance to prove that the portrait shows Tasman. I have communicated with Christie's in London and they told me that this painting, which has the Christie's stencil number 344F on the back, was sold in their auction on 20 July 1877 as "Lot 199, Palamedes, portrait of an astronomer" The vendor was Mr. W. Cornwallis West, from London (and in brackets) Ruthin Castle, Wales. Christie's also informed me that there is no record of vendor by the name Robert Springer in the 1870s. The family portrait shows a celestial globe, not a terrestrial globe. The name of the man in the portrait is unknown but it is certain that the provenance which supposedly shows a connection with Tasman was fabricated.
You will be aware that this is not uncommon in the art world.
I can make the communications I have had with Christie's available to you. I also would recommend that you read my article on the various portraits that are supposed to show Abel Tasman.
The portrait I put on the wikipedia page can be traced back to a Dutch auction in 1862 and the portrait clearly has the title "Abel Janssen Tasman, navigateur en Australie."
You can download my peer reviewed article here: https://victoria.academia.edu/RuedigerMack
I hope you will now be able to accept my editorial chnages to the Abel Tasman page.
