Chinese bus fire

Hi, I saw that Chinese bus fire had been created. I agree with you that the content was not suitable. I decided to make the article into a disambiguation page for the three Chinese bus fire articles. --LukeSurl t c 11:07, 9 June 2013 (UTC)

Excellent. Thanks for letting me know. –Randor1980 (talk) 11:35, 9 June 2013 (UTC)

Current events header

Hi! I'm intrigued by your edits like this one. Does it make any difference? The example at {{Current events header}} doesn't have a leading zero. If the leading zero is needed, we should fix the bot that is creating these pages automatically. -- John of Reading (talk) 18:41, 1 July 2013 (UTC)

Spencer Luckey

Hi, I've added a page on Spencer Luckey, which links from Tom Luckey. They are different people, so they should be kept separate. If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to contact me on my talk page Talk Hillbillyhoboken (talk) 16:53, 27 December 2013 (UTC)

Sorry, but Spencer Luckey is not notable enough to warrant a stand-alone article. A redirect to Tom Luckey seemed more appropriate. –Randor1980talkmy edits 17:05, 27 December 2013 (UTC)

Spencer Luckey meets the requirements for notability for creative professionals.

3. The person has created, or played a major role in co-creating, a significant or well-known work, or collective body of work, that has been the subject of an independent book or feature-length film, or of multiple independent periodical articles or reviews.
4. The person's work (or works) either (a) has become a significant monument, (b) has been a substantial part of a significant exhibition, (c) has won significant critical attention, or (d) is represented within the permanent collections of several notable galleries or museums."

If you have criticisms of his inclusion in wikipedia, please post on the talk page instead of redirecting the page. Hillbillyhoboken (talk) 20:27, 2 January 2014 (UTC)

Fine. You may think that he is notable enough to have his own Wikipedia page, but I beg to differ. The problem I have with the article is that it contains original research. Most, if not all, of the information that you have put up is not supported by any of the sources you have provided. The links that you have used as sources contain very little or no information on Spencer Luckey himself. For example, you wrote "Spencer attended Foote School and is a graduate of Yale School of Architecture." and cited this site as your source. Where does it say that he is a graduate of Yale? I realise that you're new to Wikipedia so it's probably best for you to familiarise yourself with Wikipedia's policy on verifiability and what constitutes a reliable source and what doesn't. I will nominate the article for deletion in the next few days, not on the grounds that the subject is not notable, but on the grounds that the article contains original research. Thank you. –Randor1980talkmy edits 11:10, 3 January 2014 (UTC)

Hi, I've fixed that reference. I had used the same name for two diferent references on the Luckey Climbers site and it pointed to the wrong one. This isn't original research. I will take down the Foote School reference even though it is easily found by google searching. I'm taking it down because I would either have to reference a facebook page or a Foote School page that mentions his son, which I think is inappropriate. Hillbillyhoboken (talk) 18:58, 3 January 2014 (UTC)

By the way, go through the references. All of the information is backed up by publicly available resources. Hillbillyhoboken (talk) 19:09, 3 January 2014 (UTC)

Wiki-PR edit warring

I do not know your "position" on Wiki-PR, so this is not a canvassing attempt. I would just like more eyes on the edit dispute taking place here and specifically here. I get the feeling that (as usual) Smallbones and Coretheapple are tag-teaming to keep a particular "revenge" POV in Wikipedia about paid editing, to the detriment of a wider NPOV perspective. Do your own analysis of the situation, and please weigh in on whatever side your conscience dictates. - I'm not that crazy (talk) 14:06, 9 January 2014 (UTC)

Hello Randor1980. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of Handsworth Primary School in Waltham Forest London, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: A7 does not apply to schools. Thank you. — Malik Shabazz Talk/Stalk 13:52, 12 January 2014 (UTC)

I didn't tag it for CSD, User:BiH did. I merely restored the CSD A7 tag that was removed by the article's creator. Regards, Randor1980 (talkcontributions) 14:01, 12 January 2014 (UTC)
Sorry about that. The script I use notifies the person who most recently added a speedy deletion tag. — Malik Shabazz Talk/Stalk 14:06, 12 January 2014 (UTC)

Please don't tag articles per WP:CSD#A3 (see the footnote) until at least ten minutes have passed since their creation. In this instance, you tagged Stein one minute after it was created. Thanks.--Bbb23 (talk) 20:54, 18 January 2014 (UTC)

You did it again: Assassins creed 4 black flag. Stop.--Bbb23 (talk) 16:40, 24 January 2014 (UTC)

Information icon Hi Randor1980. Thank you for your work on patrolling new pages and tagging for speedy deletion. I'm just letting you know that I declined your deletion request for Andy Hoggarth, a page that you tagged for speedy deletion, because the criterion you used or the reason you gave does not cover this kind of page. Please take a moment to look at the suggested tasks for patrollers and review the criteria for speedy deletion. Particularly, the section covering non-criteria. Such pages are best tagged with proposed deletion or proposed deletion for biographies of living persons, or sent to the appropriate deletion discussion. Makes claims to notability. I have tagged the article for BLPPROD instead. Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 17:08, 25 January 2014 (UTC)
