Nu metal

I noticed you undid my edits on nu metal. I wanna explain some things to you:

I fixed the critics claiming Nu metal popularity declining thing. Only one of those sources actually spoke of Nu metal losing popularity. The rap rock source didn't speak of it at all. The Mainstream popularity section shouldn't be divided into 2 sections of the same name. That was made by an IP users. If they have the same name and are next to each other then they should be merged with each other. Nu metal was popular in both the late 90s and early 2000s and it should be put into one section instead of dividing in half. The part about Nu metal bands releasing albums in 1997 and Ozzfest happened before Nu metal became really mainstream. So I put it on the early development section because it doesn't go on the mainstream popularity section. 1997 wasn't where Nu metal broke in the mainstream, so it shouldn't be on the mainstream popularity section. I'll try maybe changing the name of the early development section and giving it a better name. The 2010s section had too many files and one file is enough. 3 files took up a lot of room. Also, list of nu metal bands should be on the "other topics" thing as it has something to do with Nu metal and shows examples of Nu metal bands and bands described as Nu metal. Also, those sources for Ice Cube playing Nu metal did not refer to any of the rapper's work as Nu metal. One did refer to his 1998 album as rap metal but remember rap metal isn't the exact same thing as Nu metal, it is just similar to Nu metal. The thing about Soulfly wasn't sourced and the thing about Deftones moving away from Nu metal wasn't sourced either. I'll try sourcing these things soon. Thank You. There are a few things that aren't right. Either women, young women, or both, females is not right. A list is not a topic. Also under Characteristics, adding a sub-section of "Nu metal fashion" and putting relevant material from characteristics in the new sub-section of "Nu Metal fashion", "Fashions", Fashion" or something better if there is an idea. Those are a few things that will help. The sub-section doesn't have to happen but may be a few leagues more, Professional as far as an Article is concerned.

Also this "Trevor Baker of The Guardian wrote "Bands such as Linkin Park, Korn and even the much reviled Limp Bizkit also, incidentally, did far more to break down the artificial barriers between "urban music" and rock than any of their more critically acceptable counterparts. Their concerts also drew huge numbers of women, which is much more than you could say for any old-metal band."[33]" needs to be in the "2010s and slight comeback" minus the year and calling it "Revival", "Rebirth", "Continued Evolution" or something better if someone thinks of it such as "2010s-Continued Evolution" or titled in some other way.

....or....., in the Decline in popularity (mid–late 2000s), section like after "Mudvayne's 2005 album Lost and Found showed a change in the band's musical style.[120]" "In contrast, to the general decline "Trevor Baker of The Guardian wrote "Bands such as Linkin Park, Korn and even the much reviled Limp Bizkit also, incidentally, did far more to break down the artificial barriers between "urban music" and rock than any of their more critically acceptable counterparts. RE: Nu metal request

So you know, I like to respond typically on my own talk page when spoken to, but I'll do it your way if you like, I'm open to that, just prefer the other way by default. Now to the point.

• You absolutely can edit the article while it's on request, but keep an eye out for spurious additions or things that would detract from the article's quality while it's awaiting improvement.
• The goal of requesting copy editing is to request an experienced editor who has not been a major contributor to look at the article and fix anything that may come off as unclear or have a double-meaning that might be a problem. Sometimes involved editors miss things that pop out to a fresh set of eyes from an experienced editor.
• Peer review is more of a broad spectrum - they check things more than just spelling/grammar/etc. issues. Sometimes they go into much more depth in the writing, they often check to see if citations are working correctly, they review them to make sure things are reliable, ask for citations where necessary, check to see if images and sound samples are used fairly, and so much more. But remember, these are from fairly uninvolved (at least with your article) editors, and that's what makes it helpful. It essentially takes things from a reader's point of view.

I hope these helped. I've never had a GA passed before, only sent one article to WP:GOCE (incidentally, it was the Deftones), and my first PR still hasn't had any responses and it's been 3 weeks :/ But I've read through several of their archives and have a general understanding of what they want. I was just fooled by an illusion of what looked like a prepared article. Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give ChartAttack a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into another page with a different name. This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Nu metal article song samples

A user in the Peer Review is complaining that the sample for "Nookie" is too good of sound quality to be included in a Wikipedia article. The reason that is is because copyrighted material should be used carefully; we don't want to have as good of a recording as was produced in the studio, that'd be stealing. He recommends around 60 kbps, and I notice that the "Headup" sample is also significantly higher than that. I think the Korn sample would work, though, because it's only 64. I think we should remove these, as we should be careful with what we add there. Do we have any of the old files still? Sourcing issues

Do you own most or all of the books cited in nu metal? If so, I'd like to ask a favor; if not, nevermind. FYI, that favor would be separating the refs at the ends of sentences. This isn't always a problem, but putting all references for a given sentence at the end of it makes the last one stand out as heavily disputable, and makes it harder to source-check the others. For example, the current revision in the first two paragraphs of prose show five to seven refs at the end of a sentence to cite what could be various things:

Bush are Post-grunge too?

I seen that you always try to remove the post-grunge label out of Bush's songs and albums and pretending that Bush aren't Post-grunge, Bush was probably one of the first successful post-grunge acts, they had a grunge sound, yes they did but their sound was easily radio-friendlier than those of Nirvana's and Pearl Jam's. Grunge was also a place, to be Grunge, a band needs to come from Seattle, I was watching the Grunge hype 1996, it didn't included Bush at all, why? Well Bush were not from Seattle and Bush were imitating the grunge bands and signing to major record label with their first album, they also came a little after the grunge explosion of the early 90s. Also, by the way, if a Bush song came from 1999-2001, it's definitely not grunge anymore, it's just Post-grunge, look at Pearl Jam, Pearl Jam are more grunge than Bush but their songs from the late 90s-early 2000s, just says alternative rock, you are telling me that Bush was the only grunge band left from 1999-2001, they were more post-grunge, Post-grunge bands imitate the old grunge bands and Bush was one of the first bands that actually did that. Also, thanks for editing the post-grunge article, I hate it how it looked boring and dull and now you added some good things on there, however, I wouldn't add the Yourself Or Someone Like You album during the early-mid 90s because the album got it's strongest success during the late 90s from 1997-1999, overall thanks for that but Bush belong more to the Post-grunge movement, grunge was a place and a specific time, Bush wasn't included on those times, they are Grunge but at the same time, they are Post-grunge and let the role for Post-grunge to experience stronger success throughout the future and years.( Mikeis1996 (talk) 21:29, 21 March 2016 (UTC) )

I've started a discussion on the nu metal talk page. I've provided many sources that back my stance. Another editor agreed with me. You have not commented despite having 3 days to do so, and have instead just gone and reverted me once again. This is not acceptable behavior on Wikipedia. You need to start discussing on talk pages better. I'm already irritated that I spent weeks on an argument started by you at Limp Bizkit that you also failed to participate in. In general, if you're being reverted multiple times in an article, you should be look for, or start, discussions on the talk page. It should be expected. Also, it would have been nice if you participated in any of the discussions or RFCs for Limp Bizkit. Discussions went on for weeks and you didn't say a word. You should have mentioned you were okay with an option. In general, if you're going to be working on such a subjective, contentious subject area like music genre on Wikipedia, you've got to be more active on discussions on talk pages, or you're going to get yourself into trouble.
