COI and reverting edits
[edit]Hello! I believe you have a conflict of interest with regards to the article Safi Rauf. If you do, a more productive way to have an impact on Rauf's Wikipedia page would be to follow the WP:COI guidelines and make suggestions for changes on the talk page. Simply reverting or adding laudatory content, as you are, will wind up with your changes being reversed. —Ganesha811 (talk) 21:08, 15 July 2024 (UTC)
- @Sr1273, I also agree with @Ganesha811. If you have any relationship with what you write including payment, it is not bad, but you have to follow WP guidelines. Please disclose your COI and even UPE. Safari ScribeEdits! Talk! 16:11, 2 August 2024 (UTC)
- Hi,
- Thank you for your feedback. I do not have a COI with Safi Rauf. I am only updating the article with what is available online. There are several new articles from many reputable sources including the New York Times that show updates about Safi Rauf's life. Please let me know how I can properly make all these updates. Thank you again for all the feedback. Sr1273 (talk) 08:00, 19 August 2024 (UTC)
- I would recommend you make suggestions on the talk page of the article (Talk:Safi Rauf) which other editors can then assess and incorporate as appropriate. —Ganesha811 (talk) 14:36, 19 August 2024 (UTC)

[edit]Hi Sr1273! I noticed that you have reverted to restore your preferred version of Safi Rauf several times. The impulse to undo an edit you disagree with is understandable, but I wanted to make sure you're aware that the edit warring policy disallows repeated reversions even if they are justifiable.
All editors are expected to discuss content disputes on article talk pages to try to reach consensus. If you are unable to agree at Talk:Safi Rauf, please use one of the dispute resolution options to seek input from others. Using this approach instead of reverting can help you avoid getting drawn into an edit war. Thank you. 🔥YesI'mOnFire🔥(ContainThisEmber?) 01:57, 20 August 2024 (UTC)
