Minor niggling vandalism to [[List of characters in Ed, Edd n Eddy

[User:69.59.27.100] is continually changing "Double-D" under Edd to "Double Dee." It's a minor thing, but I created a talk page for the IP user, and tried to reason with the user. "Double Dee" is incorrect in this context. Could you please lend a hand? Maybe if more than one editor resists this change, it will stop. Thanks. -- 70.140.219.56 04:50, 6 January 2007 (UTC)

It's Double Dee

[1] —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 69.59.27.100 (talk) 04:58, 6 January 2007 (UTC).

PLease do not report editind diputes to WP:AIV. The correct action would be to warn about 3RR, and then report them BOTH to WP:AN/3RR ViridaeTalk 05:04, 6 January 2007 (UTC)

As it turns out they are both now blocked on 3rr. ViridaeTalk 05:23, 6 January 2007 (UTC)

[2] More proof. Search for Double Dee. If someone who works on the show calls him Double Dee, then it's Double dee. Oh yeah, THINK next time before you go around accusing people of vandalism when I wasnt even doing it in the first place. Thank you. 69.59.27.100 05:06, 6 January 2007 (UTC)

Your recent reversion on the article Ed, Edd n Eddy

You recently reverted to a previous version that contained tons of fancruft, stating that "every edit is not destructive." The edits you restored included "Eddy's full name is Eddy Skipper McRich," and "Edd's full name is Eddward Marion Sobchack." What is your motive for restoring obvious fancruft to this article? I would like to hear your explanation. Thank you. -- 172.193.14.122 00:29, 8 January 2007 (UTC)

User page warning box question

I noticed on a user page (I forgot to copy it) you had a warning box for people who remove/change other peoples userpage. Could you email it to me so I could use it or post the wiki link to it. (please don't post it on my page :-) Thanks in advance for your reply.--Xiahou 00:45, 11 January 2007 (UTC)

Do you really think Squidward is an octopus? I'm a SpongeBob fan and am just curious to find out. Thanks BrandiniTheGreat 18:00, 15 January 2007 (UTC)

AIV speedy deletion

Yeah, I noticed you were tagging pages with VandalProof. Remember to be more careful with speedy deletion tagging in the future; someone may end up deleting AIV :-P because of a CSD tag. Also, I deleted all the pages you tagged for speedy deletion. Thanks! Nishkid64 23:51, 18 January 2007 (UTC)

Thanks

Thanks for mentioning VandalProof, when you reverted vandalism in the Tic Tac Toe article. I'm new here, but I have reverted one vandalism already -- by hand. VP sounds like a cool tool. --Swwright 02:43, 26 January 2007 (UTC)

Lists of plant diseases

I'm new to wikipedia. I have been adding lists of plant diseases, but have been naming them 'Alfalfa diseases', 'Barley diseases' etc (you can see a main list at 'Common names of plant diseases'. You renamed one of the lists that I created from 'Potato diseases' to 'List of potato diseases'. It seems that this is the standard approach for the naming of list of diseases. Do you think that I should rename these lists? thanks. Somanypeople 22:47, 20 January 2007 (UTC)

Civility

Would this and this be uncivil comments against a user? Squirepants101 01:06, 22 January 2007 (UTC)

I'd say so. It's definitely biting newbies. Post a warning, but do not respond. Ask the user to assume good faith, too. Xiner (talk, email) 01:10, 22 January 2007 (UTC)

'Scrapped Episodes' sources

I got a source for 'Special Ed', the other two sources were on the3eds.com message board by a 'writer' of the series. Although, I'm having a difficult time finding the post which contained the information. (And as far as I know, "Evil Ash" wasn't proven to be an imposter of AKA either). DietLimeCola 18:41, 27 January 2007 (UTC)

The post seems to be gone actually. Although, I remember someone who visited AKA Cartoon in August 2004 and posted on two message boards that the Ed's were going to school, and both posts got deleted by request of AKA Cartoon. It's kind of farfetched for episode that are technically never going to be made, but I'll get an answer soon (my friend has good relations with AKA, I'll ask him to call them on Monday and get an answer if those episodes were real or fake). When should I report CRWXTr7 (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log) to WP:AIV because the user seems to be making similar edits to that of blocked user CRWXT (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log). Not only is the user making similar edits, but the user's username is almost the same. I know that CRWXT has his/her own entry at Wikipedia:Suspected sock puppets/CRWXT, but it has not received any comments yet and it seems pretty obvious that the user is a sockpuppet. Note, that the user is currently active and is making contributions right now. Squirepants101 02:45, 28 January 2007 (UTC)

I'm on it, thanks for the heads up. For future reference, if it involves this kind of situation go to WP:ANI. Teke (talk) 05:16, 28 January 2007 (UTC)

re: You've made a mistake on 209.243.23.104

209.243.23.104 was already blocked before you posted that warning. Squirepants101 22:01, 4 February 2007 (UTC)

Okay. Do you have any suggestion as to how I would have known that? (There was and is no message on the page stating the user is blocked). Also how is this a mistake? The user vandalized, I warned. I am missing your point, apparently. Jerry lavoie 22:17, 4 February 2007 (UTC)
It was a mistake because there was already a level four warning and it was posted at 20:53, 4 February 2007 (UTC). You warned the user at 21:55, 4 February 2007 (UTC), almost an hour after. Squirepants101 22:26, 4 February 2007 (UTC)
Are you aware of VandalProof? This program is custom-tailored to make fighting vandalism an easier task. Where obvious vandalism is found all I have to do is press a button, and the edit is reverted with appropriate edit summary, and a warning is added to the user's page. During this process I do not actually see the users talk page. I don't see the big deal with warns after blocks or multiple consecutive test-4's.Jerry lavoie 22:31, 4 February 2007 (UTC)

Your monobook is in Category:Wikipedia tools

Your monobook is in Category:Wikipedia tools. This is most likely because when you were copying scripts into yout monobook you accidentaly copied their category. Since your monobook is not a tool itself, please remove this category from it. If you intend for your monobook to be a tool, please consider creating a subpage with a more descriptive name, and moving the category there. Request for protection of deleted pages?

{{helpme}}

Is there a way to request protection of deleted pages because Talk:Los Olvidados (band) keeps being recreated. The talk page is only being used as a way to recreate the article Los Olvidados (band), which has been protected against recreation. Squirepants101 19:06, 10 February 2007 (UTC)

I believe so. From Wikipedia:Deletion_policy#Abuse_of_deletion_process:

Repeated recreation of deleted article: [...] Also repeated re-creation of an article by previously unassociated editors may at times be evidence of a need for an article. But recreation of articles which should clearly remain deleted may result in the page being protected to prevent its recreation.

Hope this helps! If not, feel free to reply here and I'll drop by again. —XhantarTalk 19:25, 10 February 2007 (UTC)

Checkuser

I meant at worst for Forest. At best, he was telling the truth and you were related, at worst, he was wrong and blocking Carpet/Forest was clearly the right thing to do. I doubted that you two were related, but since he essentially said he was you, I talked to a CheckUser, who agreed that it would be best to compare you two and see. Thanks for helping me in the past with Forest, and I apologize for any trouble. Ral315 » 10:10, 24 February 2007 (UTC)

Truth or Ed

Squirepants101 said: I don't think that page was meant to be a nonsense page because "Truth or Ed" is an episode of the animated series Ed, Edd n Eddy. The episode aired as part of season five.

Hi there. Unfortunately I don’t remember ever having deleted such a page, and it doesn’t show in the page history that any such page has ever existed. I will look through my deletion log, however, to see if there are any similar pages I’ve deleted along the way. Thank you for notifying me. Bobo. 16:11, 6 March 2007 (UTC)

I've been looking over his recent edits, and other than wikifying years and creating not-really-necessary redirects, he's not really doing anything wrong. I may leave him unblocked unless he does something really bad. —тяеɢощетн (talk) 21:01, 10 March 2007 (UTC)

I don't think we'll have to worry about deleting the Long term abuse page for a while. Even if he behaves perfectly (which I don't think he will), the page should probably be kept around for historical reasons. —тяеɢощетн (talk) 21:13, 10 March 2007 (UTC)

Check user procedure

You recently compiled and listed a case at requests for checkuser. A checkuser or clerk has requested you supply one or more diffs to justify the use of the checkuser procedure in the case, in accordance with the procedures listed in the table at the top of the requests for checkuser page. For an outcome to be achieved, we require that you provide these diffs as soon as possible. This has been implemented to reduce difficulties for checkusers, and is essential for your case to be processed. A link to your recently-created case which has this information missing is here. Thanks for your co-operation. -- lucasbfr talk 10:01, 15 March 2007 (UTC), checkuser clerk.

Re: How do I cancel a checkuser?

Hi! You can add to the case that you would like to withdraw your request (at the end). A Checkuser will come and will see if he closes it. I hope that helps. -- lucasbfr talk 07:28, 16 March 2007 (UTC)
