Users attempting to bring back a deleted category
Some users are trying to recreate a deleted and protected category called Fictional redheads on articles such as Mindy (Billy and Mandy). What should I do? Please note that the users capitalize redheads, making the category nonexistant. I've tried removing the category from the articles, but they readd it. Squirepants101 15:38, 3 December 2006 (UTC)
- Have you asked the users why they are adding that category, especially since it is 1) misspelled as "Fictioal" 2) capitalized improperly (per the WP:MoS) and 3) already deleted, as you had noted? It is sometimes best to ask someone why they are doing something improper rather than merely reverting it, so both parties can learn. Jfingers88 15:57, 3 December 2006 (UTC)
Help with talk page
Is it okay for a indefinately blocked user like LuisPlank2X4 to copy a bunch material from other pages (as in the whole page) and add fake info to them? The user sometimes removes warnings from his/her talk page. Squirepants101 21:20, 4 November 2006 (UTC)
- Hi - it's not, because it makes the talk page pretty unuseable, and is a violation of the GDFL, in that the edit history is lost when he copy-pastes. I've reverted and warned - f he continues, ask a sysop to protect his talk page for a period of time, as a result of his abuse of editing proveleges. Thanks, Martinp23 21:52, 4 November 2006 (UTC)

Image copyright problem with Image:Gym.JPG
Thanks for uploading Image:Gym.JPG. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).
The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}
.
Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator.
This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you have questions about copyright tagging of images, post on Wikipedia talk:Image copyright tags or User talk:Carnildo/images. 07:06, 6 March 2006 (UTC)

I'm trying to copy Template:Camp Lazlo onto Scoutmaster Algonquin C. Lumpus, but when I try to add it (I previewed it), the template doesn't appear. Instead, it shows an internal link to Template:CampLazloCharacter. Why won't it appear? Squirepants101 02:39, 3 September 2006 (UTC)

Hi there
Just a greeting, since I see you edit a lot of the Camp Lazlo pages. I was wondering in case I'm not bothering you, you seem to know a lot on Wikipedia. If you don't mind, would you help me get acustomed to this site and then I would like to help you on other jobs. Appriciate the help. Anyway, until next time! --esanchez, Camp Lazlo fan! 03:36, 21 September 2006 (UTC)
Hey, dude. Sorry for bothering you but I'm still getting confused about using Wikipedia, how do you revert rvisions? I know you can do them. All I know that you use something like VandalProof. How did you get it? Again, sorry for bothering you, for I'm stil confused around the site and I am more confidient with you.--esanchez, Camp Lazlo fan! 02:10, 23 October 2006 (UTC)
You don't have to have VandalProof to make reverts (you have to have over 250 mainspace edits to get it). You can use popups instead or if you don't want to use popups, see Help:Revert. Squirepants101 02:14, 23 October 2006 (UTC)
I did some investigation before you responded. I did install the popup thing but I can't find anything that can revert. Sorry, I'm such a n00b at this.--esanchez, Camp Lazlo fan! 02:49, 23 October 2006 (UTC)
What Should I Do
If I want an article to be merged (I requested Bill (Camp Lazlo) to be merged with List of characters in Camp Lazlo), should I make a redirect on the article that needs to be merged instead? Squirepants101 18:13, 24 September 2006 (UTC)
- In this case, yes. If it were a more established article that hadn't recently been written by a new user, then you would wait for a while after adding the merge tag to see if anyone objects, but in this case I recommend you just do it. —Centrx→talk • 19:15, 24 September 2006 (UTC)
Warnings
If a vandal like User talk:68.37.205.18 vandalized again after the IP address was blocked two times, which warning should I use. What if the vandal was blocked three or four times? Squirepants101 01:57, 30 September 2006 (UTC)
- WP:TT has a handy table. For a repeat offender like the IP, I'd start at "Level 3", then go to "Level 4" if they vandalised after the "Level 3", then if they vandalise after the final, "Level 4" warning, I'd report them to WP:AIV. Daniel.Bryant 02:38, 30 September 2006 (UTC)

Help with template
I made Template:Gaobam expand and collapse, but when it's used on articles, such as Everything Breaks / The Show that Dare Not Speak Its Name, the message about clicking show to expand disappears and I'm left with |}. How can I correct the problem, so that message can show up on all articles. Squirepants101 02:06, 20 October 2006 (UTC)
- Took me a bit to find it, but there was a problem with the <noinclude> tags, where part of the template itself wasn't being transcluded properly -- I'm not confident in my ability to explain it, so I went ahead and fixed it. Here's hoping you can make sense out of what I did, and infer from that what the problem was. :) Luna Santin 05:34, 20 October 2006 (UTC)

I'm sorry that I didn't include links. Please don't use VandalProof against me. Thank you for your concern about my recent edit to the Trilemma page. However, I believe the removal of content that I did was entirely appropriate. If you examine the removed content, I believe you'll agree it 1) has nothing to do with the topic of "trilemma", 2) is written in a poor style, and 3) may even represent vandalism itself by providing a long-winded non-neutral-POV diatribe about one particular relgion. I shall revert the edit and I believe it is appropriate.
Please explain!

DietLimeCola's edits of the Ed Edd n Eddy article
I have reverted the articles to their previous form. It makes much more sense to list the voice actors in their own category, as it always has been. DietLimeCola has shown signs that he or she wants to own the article and make his or her edits the only permanent ones. Others have been editing and protecting this article far longer. I will continue to revert this, as DietLimeCola's edit makes no sense. -- 75.7.153.51 06:28, 9 December 2006 (UTC)
"DietLimeCola has shown signs that he or she wants to own the article and make his or her edits the only permanent ones." Oh, you mean like you always do? You have not stated one GOOD reason why these edits are better off over there. You are just beign your usual bossy self, and I'm sick of it. Everytime I make an edit, I worry that you will revert them for some lame reason like you always do, and most of the time, I'm right. You just want people to believe I'm a vandal, so cut it out, and grow up because that isn't your article. Geeze, you make me want to pull my hair out sometimes. DietLimeCola 06:48, 9 December 2006 (UTC)

non admin rollback and warning tools
With all the great work you do I thought I'd make like a lot easier for ya - so, I have added non admin rollback and warning tools for you. They really rock!
So, can you please clear your cache (hit CTRL-R) and then when you see some vandalism use the RED rollback link. This should rollback the edit but also open the vandals talk page (turn popups off if it doesnt) and, whats best is there you should see an extra tab at the top next to history and one press and they are warned! (you still get to choose the warning) - see if that works :) Let me know if you like! Glen 15:03, 9 December 2006 (UTC)
- PS: If not your thing just say the word and Ill remove immediately... but that'll definitely not happen! :)' Enjoy!
i was not doing anything that i see as vandalizing!
I was merely adding my tattoos to the pages of the characters i have tattooed on my arm as a way to show others that I am in fact a super fan. i thought also it would be awesome if many added theirs to the new topic. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 70.226.91.66 (talk) 22:14, 9 December 2006 (UTC).

The topic Fictional Redheads from Jeromealden 85
The reason why I was making this topic was because I thought it would be relevant to make a topic like this because there are hundreds of fictional redheads. You see them all of the time on tv and in comic books and other things like that. I appologize for any frustration it's causing you when I keep adding this category to the Cartoon Network television shows articles. If you do not want me to interfere with those articles, I will not do so as you wish. I am just making articles that seem worthwhile, because I see thousands of Wikipedia users making up articles and categories and a lot of them do not get questioned or fussed at about it. Also the reason why I was making that category because there is also a category in this website that discusses all about redheads. It discusses the famous and real life ones and the fictional ones, but not all of them were listed. So that's why I made that category to list all of them, fictional ones that is. But maybe I should just let other more experienced Wikipedia users to do that. I do not wish or intend to inconvienence you with the creation of that one category, seeing that you are more experienced than I am. I just started my account 9 months ago and would like to learn more about editing the articles and the categories on this website. I think that this is one of the coolest websites on the Internet. I am also trying hard not to get banned from this website from commiting what you consider "vandalism", and I am also trying to follow all of the rules and regulations of this website. Perhaps, maybe I should just not edit any of the articles on this website if it causes some problems. Although I should look up myself on how to properly edit pages in this website, but many of them are confusing and hard to follow, but I will keep trying to learn more about this website. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Jeromealden 85 (talk • contribs) 14:55, 11 December 2006 (UTC).

Sock evidence seems fairly conclusive, so tag if you want. The main thing is to stop the vandalism, and there has been a bit of a move against tagging, since it leaves a 'trophy'. Tyrenius 04:52, 1 January 2007 (UTC)
