IP address blocked
[edit]It seems that I have been blocked from editing by blocking my IP address. As I haven't made any controversial edits to any pages I wonder why this has been done and I also see no way to appeal this action. Can anyone help here?

- Ok, hopefully you should be able to edit now :). Seraphim♥Whipp 18:44, 23 July 2008 (UTC)

Non-free use disputed for Image:RRZ.jpg
[edit]This file may be deleted. |
Thanks for uploading Image:RRZ.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read carefully the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content and then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our Criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 00:20, 6 June 2007 (UTC)
Login Unification
[edit]{{helpme}}
I have claimed my user name 'Spinner' and this has gone through but there are a number of other users registered with this name on other language Wiki. How do I contact them with a view to resolving the issue when they are primarily non-English language speakers? i.e. Japan and Germany?
I don't see a clear procedure laid down on this. Spinner (talk) 00:46, 24 July 2008 (UTC)
- You can't force someone else to change their username. Sorry. Ten Pound Hammer and his otters • (Broken clamshells• Otter chirps • HELP!) 00:50, 24 July 2008 (UTC)
- I don't want to force anyone to change their username. I thought the idea was to ask people to consider changing their username if there is a conflict to provide a unified username system across all the Wiki projects to avoid confusion. Spinner (talk) 18:54, 24 July 2008 (UTC)
- If you don't speak those languages, I wouldn't worry about it too much. –xeno (talk) 20:02, 24 July 2008 (UTC)
- That being said, you should be able to usurp the accounts with zero edits as seen on this link: http://toolserver.org/~vvv/sulutil.php?user=Spinner Following the interwiki links at WP:USURP should get you to the right place. –xeno (talk) 20:06, 24 July 2008 (UTC)
AfD nomination of Amazing Mendezies
[edit]An editor has nominated one or more articles which you have created or worked on, for deletion. The nominated article is Amazing Mendezies. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also Wikipedia:Notability and "What Wikipedia is not").
Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion(s) by adding your comments to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Amazing Mendezies. Please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).
You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate.
Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. --Erwin85Bot (talk) 01:11, 4 February 2010 (UTC)
This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of History of Contemporary Circus in UK & Ireland, and it appears to include material copied directly from http://palaceofvariety.co.uk/page24.htm.
It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.
If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material. You may use such publications as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details. (If you own the copyright to the previously published content and wish to donate it, see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for the procedure.) CorenSearchBot (talk) 10:08, 24 July 2015 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of History of Contemporary Circus in UK & Ireland
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a notice to inform you that a tag has been placed on History of Contemporary Circus in UK & Ireland requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, a "See also" section, book references, category tags, template tags, interwiki links, images, a rephrasing of the title, a question that should have been asked at the help or reference desks, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Revert on Cunning Stunts
[edit]Hey, just wanted to let you know I reverted you on Cunning Stunts, a disambiguation page, because you added a link to a page that doesn't exist. Disambiguation pages should only list notable topics that have Wikipedia articles -- if you'd like the feminist theatre company to be included on Wikipedia, it needs to have an article before it can appear on the disambiguation page.
