Moved pages with links still to the redirect
Hello. When moving a lot of pages which have a lot of links to them, like you did with the articles on Bandy World Championships, it's always good to change at least most of the the links too and not just let them hang as redirects. Snowsuit Wearer (talk|contribs) 10:13, 22 July 2015 (UTC)

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Nordic Folkboat Gold Cup, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page SMPS. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Speedy deletion nomination of 2014 Bandy World Championship 2014
A tag has been placed on 2014 Bandy World Championship 2014 requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done for the following reason:

Ways to improve Heineken (yacht)
Hi, I'm Delzem. Smartskaft, thanks for creating Heineken (yacht)!
I've just tagged the page, using our page curation tools, as having some issues to fix. PDF are not eligible for citation.
The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, you can leave a comment on my talk page. Or, for more editing help, talk to the volunteers at the Teahouse. Delzem 12:49, 19 September 2015 (UTC)
Proposed deletion of Camper Lifelovers
The article Camper Lifelovers has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Non-notable boat. No evidence of in depth coverage in independent reliable sources. Only ref is a database entry that doesn't mention the boat by name.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Stuartyeates (talk) 20:49, 19 September 2015 (UTC)

Hi, Thanks for adding the information on the 5.5 Metre. However this is a 1:1 quote from http://classicsailboats.org/march-2012-sailboat-of-the-month/ without pointing to the original source. Can you please correct this?Dragon Genoa (talk) 14:17, 30 September 2015 (UTC)
- @Dragon Genoa:Thanks for notifying me. I did however not add that information, it was added in 2009 by an IP user, which is older than the blog post you link. It is still unreferenced, which is bad, so I tagged the article {{refimprove}}. Smartskaft (talk) 14:29, 30 September 2015 (UTC)

Bold title
"Links should not be placed in the boldface reiteration of the title in the opening sentence of a lead" (MOS:BOLDTITLE) as you have reverted in 2014–15 FIS Freestyle Skiing World Cup. Maybe a season (year) could be bold, but link definitely not. Sportomanokin (talk) 13:12, 12 October 2015 (UTC)
- @Sportomanokin: You're right in that links should not be placed in the boldface, but the same page also mentions that the article opening should contain the article name in bold. Article openings could be elaborated to wikilink the main competition, e.g.
- "The 2014–15 FIS Freestyle Skiing World Cup was the 36th edition of the FIS Freestyle Skiing World Cup, the multi race tournament for freestyle skiing over a season, organised by International Ski Federation."
- Further on, dashes, and not slashes are commonly used to indicate seasons spanning over several years (see Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Dates and numbers) and the article title is using dashes, therefore I will change back to dashes. Smartskaft (talk) 16:39, 12 October 2015 (UTC)
- The same password mentioned two times in one sentence almost next to each other? Doesn't look cool, it's a little cofusing. If anything, only season/year 2014–15 should be bold. But I like the "edition world. FIS Alpine Ski World Cup seasons, which is the far most edited and viewed discipline at FIS world cup family sports, don't use any bold titles. Sportomanokin (talk) 17:14, 12 October 2015 (UTC)
- Could be like this:
"The 2014–15 FIS Freestyle Skiing World Cup was the 36th edition of the multi race tournament for freestyle skiing over a season, organised by International Ski Federation." Sportomanokin (talk) 17:14, 12 October 2015 (UTC)
- Could be like this:
- You could add a footnote, or link the terms in an infobox. Finnusertop (talk | guestbook | contribs) 17:35, 12 October 2015 (UTC)
- @Sportomanokin and Finnusertop: Yes, I believe it could. Personally, I don't see any problem with mentioning Freestyle Skiing World Cup two times, it look alright in 2015 IAAF Diamond League for example. Smartskaft (talk) 11:44, 15 October 2015 (UTC)

boats etc
Hi. I would like to refer to your revert on Alfa Romeo. The boat is US flagged, the existing 'built in Australia' category reflects her past, but the 'yachts of Australia' does not reflect her present status. Thanks for all your contributions and hard work on the ships project by the way. signed:Donan Raven (talk) 13:53, 6 November 2015 (UTC)
- actually I amended the page to reflect an even newer flag state (dated June 2015). signed:Donan Raven (talk) 14:13, 6 November 2015 (UTC)
- @Donan.raven: Good looking this up. Since the encyclopaedia should not only look at the current state, I believe the article can be in all its former countries' categories. Smartskaft (talk) 14:22, 6 November 2015 (UTC)
- The encyclopaedia should indeed reflect the history, but I would describe this "multiple country" categorization as both very complicated and very confusing. Why not keep it to the article content? signed:Donan Raven (talk) 14:37, 6 November 2015 (UTC)

Six Metre World Championships
Hello Smartskarft
I am the Executive Secretary of the International Six Metre Association. I notice you have recently changed the title of this page from 6 Metre World Championships to 6 Metre World Cup. I would like to change it back, but I don't know how to do it - I am new to Wikipedia! The reason is that the International Sailing Federation (ISAF) has very strict regulations for its International member classes. One of these rules is that only ISAF is allowed to call its events 'World Cup'. The Six Metre class can call its championships the World Championships (there are rules about that too) but we cannot call the event the World Cup. It is however perfectly correct to call the trophy itself the World Cup, and I have tried to make that clear in the changes I have made. ISMA Exec Sec (talk) 15:07, 10 November 2015 (UTC)
- @ISMA Exec Sec: You can use the Move page feature that you can in the upper part of the page. Smartskaft (talk) 19:28, 15 November 2015 (UTC)
