Famousbirthdays.com as a source

[edit]

Hi SimplyBatman22. I'm in the process of removing famousbirthdays.com as a source from Wikipedia, because it's not reliable (See Wikipedia:Reliable_sources/Noticeboard/Archive_153#Is_famousbirthdays.com_a_reliable_source_for_personal_information). I noticed that you've added it, and wanted to make sure you understood why it's being removed. If you disagree, let's discuss it. You should consider reviewing WP:BLP carefully regardless. Thanks. --Ronz (talk) 20:29, 12 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

An article you recently created, List of Good Mythical Morning episodes (season 4), does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please follow the prompts on the Articles for Creation template atop the page. Robert G. Citations to YouTube

[edit]

I noticed you've added a few citations to a YouTube channel in film reception sections. We don't cite reviews from the general public like this. Per MOS:FILM, we generally cite professional critics who are published in reliable sources, though we do sometimes make exceptions for experts, such as famous scientists who critique the scientific aspects of films. If this is your own YouTube channel, you should further be aware that advertising it on Wikipedia like this is generally not allowed; it is considered a form of spamming. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Caillou Pettis (film director), requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion discussion, such as at Articles for deletion. When a page has substantially identical content to that of a page deleted after a discusion, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Hi there, I'm HasteurBot. I just wanted to let you know that Draft:List of Good Mythical Morning episodes (season 4), a page you created, has not been edited in 5 months. The Articles for Creation space is not an indefinite storage location for content that is not appropriate for articlespace.

If your submission is not edited soon, it could be nominated for deletion. If you would like to attempt to save it, you will need to improve it.

You may request Userfication of the content if it meets requirements.

A tag has been placed on Daily Film Fix requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about web content, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". Hello, SimplyBatman22. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "List of Good Mythical Morning episodes".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. HasteurBot (talk) 04:00, 5 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, don't think he qualifies for an article at present as 4,500 subscribers is not many compared to Stuckmann who has 1.2 million, and web series are not considered very notable, thanks Atlantic306 (talk) 11:19, 21 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Please also note my comments on your draft article. I see above that in 2017 it was recommended for deletion. It lacks secondary sources that establish notability of the subject - his own website and Facebook page for a proposed film are not considered Reliable Sources for this purpose. The article also lacks basic bio information - about family, siblings, education. I agree with Atlantic306 in saying it does not appear Pettis qualifies as a notable figure. Sources are weak. Do keep working on subjects but this is supposed to reflect established figures, not people trying to make a name for themselves on Wikipedia. Parkwells (talk) 21:55, 21 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
