Speedy deletion nomination of Clermont chain of lakes
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a notice to inform you that a tag has been placed on Clermont chain of lakes requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. [edit]Wanted to send some thanks from a few days ago helping to try and restore neutrality to this page. Its gotten ridiculous and I am agape no admin or upper-echelon editor has taken notice of the POV on the page. DaltonCastle (talk) 21:00, 31 March 2016 (UTC)
- It's a real problem because Trump supporters tend to be blue-collar workers which would not favor them as a large audience for editing Wikipedia as opposed to Rubio, Clinton and Sanders supporters who have a larger white-collar base that favors more of them editing Wikipedia. When you add the fact that much of the biased media is going against Trump resulting in a potentially biased Wikipedia, it sets up the perfect recipe for disasters like this. Instead of an article mainly about Trumps campaign events and his state victories like other candidates, it's mostly comparing him to Adolf Hitler and the criticism of his campaign. I feel like I am reading an article by someone from the Sanders campaign. I think the section about the criticism on the Trump campaign article needs to be shed off into a page of it's own and the article be revamped to illustrate events like his victories on super Tuesday 1 and 2 with maps etc and actually explain him being the frontrunner and not what others think of him. I can easily add of these victories like the Ted Cruz page but not when the article is allowed to be like this and it's being left to accumulate.ShadowDragon343 (talk) 22:20, 31 March 2016 (UTC)

[edit]If you believe this block is unjustified, please read the guide to appealing blocks (specifically this section) before appealing. Place the following on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Please copy my appeal to the [[WP:AE|arbitration enforcement noticeboard]] or [[WP:AN|administrators' noticeboard]]. Your reason here OR place the reason below this template. ~~~~}}
. If you intend to appeal on the arbitration enforcement noticeboard I suggest you use the arbitration enforcement appeals template on your talk page so it can be copied over easily. Reminder to administrators: In May 2014, ArbCom adopted the following procedure instructing administrators regarding Arbitration Enforcement blocks: "No administrator may modify a sanction placed by another administrator without: (1) the explicit prior affirmative consent of the enforcing administrator; or (2) prior affirmative agreement for the modification at (a) AE or (b) AN or (c) ARCA (see "Important notes" [in the procedure]). Administrators modifying sanctions out of process may at the discretion of the committee be desysopped."

Procedural notes: The rules governing arbitration enforcement appeals are found here. According to the procedures, a "clear, substantial, and active consensus of uninvolved editors" is required to overturn an arbitration enforcement action.
To help determine any such consensus, involved editors may make brief statements in separate sections but should not edit the section for discussion among uninvolved editors. Editors are normally considered involved if they are in a current dispute with the sanctioning or sanctioned editor, or have taken part in disputes (if any) related to the contested enforcement action. Administrators having taken administrative actions are not normally considered involved for this reason alone (see WP:UNINVOLVED).

Request reason:
I now understand that adding that comparing Donald Trump to Ronald Reagan is something that should have been put up on the talk page of the article, If you unban me I will initiate a discussion on the talk page of the Donald Trump presidential campaign, 2016 about it before considering to readd the info, I now understand that it may be met with info stating otherwise and I acted recklessly by readding it.
Decline reason:
Arbitration enforcement appears legitimate and you aren't arguing otherwise. As such, there are no grounds to lift your block. You may follow the instructions to contest the sanction itself if you wish. Yamla (talk) 14:43, 16 May 2016 (UTC)

Re: Dragons
[edit]I need to give you a few points about this matter:
- The fictional animal articles are supposed to be about individual dragons not those various types and species, but notable individuals. Species go in their own list.
- The article must include actual dragons not lookalikes, which would eventually flood and bloat the article page. Pokemon, Digimon and so on belong in the corresponding lists.
- Film and Television should include live action characters. But considering that dragons are fictional and animated cartoons, CGI or puppets, I can't see how they can fall into either category.
- I must also point out that there are too many dragon lists, while the main list remains pretty large instead of containing a few notable examples.
I can therefore conclude that there is no unreasonable deletion of any of the content. I suggest you folow the points and revise the lists. If you're in any doubt, perhaps you'd like to take the discussion to other users. Give it some thought and see what you can come up with. Happy Editing. Deltasim (talk) 11:27, 9 August 2016 (UTC)
- So far I have seen too many unencyclopedic dragon characters which are one-offs and play little to no importance or notability in the shows mentioned. Much of the list items seems to be bringing WP:FANCRUFT to the article. Take a look at Talk:List of dragons in film and television and try again. Deltasim (talk) 14:24, 11 August 2016 (UTC)

Questions Regarding Early Presidential Primaries (1940 and Back)
[edit]- I've been working collecting data on the results for the Democratic Presidential caucuses or state conventions that were held in earlier years, 1940 being the starting point given I was interested at the time in the Anti-Third Term movement that had sprung up then, and while I can't access all the data in question anyway (I'm using the New York Times as a source, but I'm not a subscriber and so can't look at the articles in detail), I've provided them in the talk pages. Having gotten down to 1928 now, however, I'm not certain how best to display the information given, and I'm not sure if there really is a precedent(s) for it given the operational differences between the Modern Primary and the more Archaic Primary of yesteryear. For example;
- In 1928 Al Smith clearly won the Democratic Presidential Preference Primary in Ohio over Senator Atlee Pomerene, but the latter was awarded the entirety of the delegation. The situation in question is in an article I provided on the talk page for the '28 Democratic Primaries, but when you have delegates not being bound or awarded based on the results of a Primary, should that be counted as a separate contest? How should we display that on a map? Should one be given preference?
- Depending on the year in question you either end up with a handful, none, or a whole slew of favorite-son candidates ready to represent State delegations, and these candidates technically have "won" delegates. However in some cases, like those I identified for the 1968 Republican nomination race, are far more than the infobox could possibly handle when combined with the actual candidates (even if we are just talking about candidates and favorite sons that won delegates, that would make 17). Should we give preference based on delegates won? On actual candidates vs. Favorite Sons? What about if they've withdrawn and endorsed a candidate? Should Favorite Sons be combined somehow (for map and infobox purposes) and explained separately in another section?
- In a number of the Presidential Primaries and even Caucuses I have encountered language that the delegates in question are officially unpledged or uninstructed, but have a strong preference or are generally understood for being for a certain candidate. Under those conditions, should those delegations be considered Unpledged, or should they be considered as being for the candidate? Should the votes of those delegations be included in a candidate's vote total?
- These are the major questions at the moment. I'll also be asking a few others Presidential Elections Wikiproject as well to chime in, so if you have any ideas on how best I should proceed, I'd ask that the responses be put into Talk:Democratic Party presidential primaries, 1932. Thanks ahead of time. --Ariostos (talk) 03:21, 22 April 2017 (UTC)

[edit]Speedy deletion nomination of EscaPADE
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on EscaPADE requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from https://nssdc.gsfc.nasa.gov/nmc/spacecraft/display.action?id=ESCAPADE. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

Wing War (1983 video game) moved to draftspace
[edit]An article you recently created, Wing War (1983 video game), is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more in-depth coverage about the subject itself, with citations from reliable, independent sources in order to show it meets WP:GNG. It should have at least three. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page.Onel5969 TT me 13:35, 1 December 2022 (UTC)

New York Comic Con
[edit]Hi. Regarding your recent edit to New York Comic Con, it is always important to keep in mind that the sources cited in Wikipedia articles should generaly be secondary sources rather than primary ones, especially when it comes to material that goes to the subject's notability, or which may represent a conflict of interest. The attendance numbers seen at a given convention, therefore should obviously not be the convention itself. In addition, the source you cited does mention the number you indicated, but it does not mention a specific year, which may be especially problematic in years to come, when that webpage is updated or changed, which would further call its ability to serve as a source into question. For now, don't worry, I found a source for the attendance numbers, though it is a lower, rounded-off figure than the one ReedPop gives. Thanks. Nightscream (talk) 15:47, 7 January 2023 (UTC)
Thanks, it was late at night and I was looking for an attendance figure. ShadowDragon343 (talk) 22:54, 7 January 2023 (UTC)

MegaCon cite errors
[edit]It appears from the articles history you have been adding a lot of references to MegaCon. FYI: when you cite Twitter or Facebook, you have to include the title in the citation, or else you end up with all these cite errors, as seen here, here, here, here and here. You reckon you could take a minute and clean that up. Thanks. Isaidnoway (talk) đ 08:21, 10 November 2023 (UTC)
- What do I add for the title when citing social media posts? ShadowDragon343 (talk) 15:32, 10 November 2023 (UTC)
