Welcome!
[edit]Hello, Sgbaxtre, and welcome to Wikipedia! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of the pages you created, such as Draft:Nevada (American musician), may not conform to some of Wikipedia's content policies and may not be retained. Speedy deletion nomination of Draft:Nevada (American musician)
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Draft:Nevada (American musician) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from https://genius.com/artists/Nevada. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Nevada (musician) moved to draftspace
[edit]An article you recently created, Nevada (musician), is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Boleyn (talk) 21:42, 14 January 2023 (UTC)
- @Boleyn it has been reviewed by the actual artist himself I can send you proof of that. Sgbaxtre (talk) 22:02, 14 January 2023 (UTC)
- That's good to know that it is accurate. It does still need independent, reliable sources that anyone can look up though, which hopefully are out there. Thanks for your work on this, Boleyn (talk) 09:16, 15 January 2023 (UTC)
- @Boleyn you can find a lot of Nevada's work on the links in the text and on Google if you put fir example Nevada dj or Nevada jon white etc. there's also his old bands wiki page called capital kings that I edited recently if you want have a look at that. and thankyou Sgbaxtre (talk) 13:12, 15 January 2023 (UTC)

- @Theroadislong well I can give you confirmation from the artist himself Sgbaxtre (talk) 13:56, 15 January 2023 (UTC)
- That would be of no use whatsoever, articles are based on what "published" reliable independent sources say. Theroadislong (talk) 14:00, 15 January 2023 (UTC)
- That would mean you have an association with the artist which is a conflict of interest. Please read WP:COI and declare as such. AngusW🐶🐶F (bark • sniff) 16:19, 15 January 2023 (UTC)

- @Theroadislong so what kind of sources do I need like Websites or links to the songs??? Sgbaxtre (talk) 14:09, 15 January 2023 (UTC)
- We need sources that are reliable. Usually this means that the publisher has a reputation for fact checking and the text must be approved by an editor before it is printed. Choose: books from reputable publishing houses, mainstream newspapers, reviews or other periodicals. Not: tabloids, discussion boards, fansites, Facebook, YouTube, or most blogs. Theroadislong (talk) 14:11, 15 January 2023 (UTC)
- And maybe read WP:YFA, creating an article is the most difficult task on Wikipedia, creating one when you have a conflict of interest makes it even harder, having no sources makes it absolutely impossible. Theroadislong (talk) 14:12, 15 January 2023 (UTC)
- @Theroadislong Would mainstream online music magazines help including the Record Label's website aswell Sgbaxtre (talk) 14:14, 15 January 2023 (UTC)
- mainstream online music magazines would be fine but the record label is a primary source so of no help at all, and please do NOT copy and paste content from elsewhere as you have done. Theroadislong (talk) 14:16, 15 January 2023 (UTC)

[edit]Hello, I'm Theroadislong. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Capital Kings, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Theroadislong (talk) 14:36, 15 January 2023 (UTC)
Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. I noticed that one or more recent edit(s) you made did not have an edit summary. You can use the edit summary field to explain your reasoning for an edit, or to provide a description of what the edit changes. Summaries save time for other editors and reduce the chances that your edit will be misunderstood. For some edits, an adequate summary may be quite brief.
The edit summary field looks like this:

Please provide an edit summary for every edit you make. With a Wikipedia account you can give yourself a reminder to add an edit summary by setting Preferences → Editing → Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary, and then click the "Save" button. please leave informative edit summaries not single random letters Theroadislong (talk) 15:18, 15 January 2023 (UTC)

Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:
- avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization, clients, or competitors;
- propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template);
- disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest#How to disclose a COI);
- avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam#External link spamming);
- do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.
