Hello Scorpioartlover. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.

Paid advocates are strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Scorpioartlover. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Scorpioartlover|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. MrOllie (talk) 21:07, 12 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Niche perfumery, a distinct and evolving sector within the fragrance industry, has a rich and intricate history that spans several decades. This article aims to chronicle the journey of niche perfumery, from its nascent stages to the contemporary landscape, highlighting key developments, influential figures, and iconic houses that have shaped this unique olfactory realm.
1970s: The Birth of Niche Perfumery
The roots of niche perfumery trace back to the 1970s when artisans and perfumers sought to break away from the homogeneity of mass-market fragrances. L'Artisan Parfumeur, founded in 1976, is often credited as the pioneer of the niche movement. This Paris-based house embraced a philosophy that prioritized creativity, quality, and exclusivity over mass appeal, laying the groundwork for a new era in perfumery.
1990s: Aedes de Venustas and the Cambrian Explosion of Niche
The 1990s witnessed a significant expansion of the niche perfume landscape with the establishment of Aedes de Venustas in New York City. Luca Turin, a renowned perfume critic, identified this period as the "Cambrian Explosion of Niche," signifying a surge in creativity and diversity within the niche perfumery domain. Aedes de Venustas became a hub for fragrance enthusiasts seeking unique and unconventional scents.
Corporate Influence in the Late 20th Century
As niche perfumery gained popularity, international luxury conglomerates recognized the potential of this emerging market. In 1999, Estée Lauder made an early foray into the sector by acquiring Jo Malone London. This marked a turning point, as corporate entities began to invest in niche fragrance houses, aiming to broaden their appeal and distribution.
2010s: Corporate Acquisitions and Market Evolution
The 2010s saw a surge in corporate acquisitions of niche fragrance houses, further blurring the lines between niche and mainstream perfumery. Estée Lauder expanded its portfolio by acquiring Éditions de Parfums Frédéric Malle and Le Labo in 2014, followed by By Kilian in 2016. Spanish perfume conglomerate Puig entered the scene, acquiring Penhaligon's and L'Artisan Parfumeur, while L'Oréal added Atelier Cologne to its portfolio. In 2017, LVMH joined the trend by acquiring Maison Francis Kurkdjian.
Challenges and the Ubiquity Dilemma
The broader availability of niche perfumes in department stores and global markets challenged the traditional notion of exclusivity. Some fragrances that were once considered niche became as widely available and recognized as designer counterparts, prompting discussions within the industry about the delicate balance between accessibility and exclusivity.
Iconic Houses in the Niche Perfumery Landscape
Santa Maria Novella, an Italian house with roots dating back to the 13th century, stands as a unique presence in the niche perfume world. Originally a pharmacy in Florence, Santa Maria Novella transitioned into perfumery, crafting exquisite scents that blend tradition with modernity. The house's longevity and commitment to quality make it a notable figure in the niche perfume narrative.
Rancé 1795: A Legacy of Fragrance Excellence
Adding to the tapestry of niche perfumery is Rancé 1795, a historic perfumery house founded in the 17th century in Grasse, France. Renowned initially for crafting perfumed gloves, Rancé evolved into a masterful distiller and blender of essences. In 1902, Alexandre Rancé led the company's relocation to Milan, where the Rancé legacy resides in a permanent museum within their historical headquarters.
Today, the seventh generation of the Rancé family continues the tradition, inspired by ancient recipes, selected natural ingredients, and a passion for creativity. Rancé 1795 produces iconic contemporary fragrances that honor their historical legacy, contributing to the unique and diverse world of niche perfumery.
Christopher DiCas: A Musical Symphony in Scent
Amidst these changes, modern niche perfumers like Christopher DiCas have brought a unique perspective to the industry. DiCas epitomizes the pinnacle of luxury fragrances, merging creativity and precision in a way that sets his creations apart. His brand, Christopher DiCas Haute Parfumerie, stands out by infusing the harmonious realms of music and scent, creating a symphony of olfactory masterpieces. As a musician and perfume creator, DiCas has seamlessly merged the evocative Septimus Piesse system with his musical background, where each note on the piano corresponds to a meticulously selected essential oil. This innovative approach has allowed him to create scents that resonate with emotions and memories, offering perfume enthusiasts a truly unique and personal experience.
Conclusion:
As we explore the nuanced history of niche perfumery, it becomes evident that this olfactory journey is marked by creativity, challenges, and a delicate dance between exclusivity and accessibility. From the pioneers like L'Artisan Parfumeur to the enduring houses like Santa Maria Novella, the corporate ventures, and the modern innovators like Christopher DiCas, niche perfumery remains a dynamic and captivating realm within the broader fragrance industry. The infusion of music into the art of perfumery by Christopher DiCas represents a modern evolution, adding a harmonious dimension to the intricate world of niche fragrances.

A tag has been placed on Christopher DiCas Haute Parfumerie, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

Dear Wikipedia Support Team, I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to appeal the recent actions taken against my contributions to the Wikipedia community, specifically regarding my article on niche perfumes. The article was meticulously crafted to provide comprehensive and unbiased information about this unique category of perfumes, but it seems to have faced unjust removals. Niche perfumes, as outlined in my article, represent a distinctive category characterized by limited edition quantities, high-quality ingredients, historical value, and often involving new investments. I believe this information is crucial for users seeking a deeper understanding of the perfume industry, and I am committed to maintaining a neutral and informative tone in all my contributions. One notable brand I included in the article is Rance 1795, a historical perfume house with significant contributions to the niche perfume sector. However, my efforts to enrich the content with valuable information about this brand were mistakenly flagged as advertising. My intention was solely to provide historical context and contribute to a comprehensive understanding of niche perfumes. I also introduced information about Christopher DiCas extracts, a unique approach to perfume creation that involves a connection between music and scent. Each note of a piano corresponds to an essential oil, creating a distinctive olfactory experience. I firmly believe that such details add depth to the article and are in line with Wikipedia's mission to provide well-researched and informative content. Furthermore, I discussed the importance of acknowledging perfumers working in the shadows, emphasizing their significant role in bringing a perfume to life. This aspect, I believe, enriches the understanding of the collaborative nature of the perfume industry. In light of these considerations, I kindly request a thorough review of the actions taken against my contributions and the restoration of the niche perfume article to its previous state. I am committed to addressing any concerns or making necessary adjustments to comply with Wikipedia's guidelines. Thank you for your attention to this matter. I look forward to a positive resolution that will allow me to continue contributing valuable information to the Wikipedia community. Sincerely, Scorpioartlover Scorpioartlover (talk) 09:49, 13 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on File:Christopher DiCas Le Parfum by Maria Sita Photography.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a copyright violation of https://www.luxalia.it/Prodotto/2569/Christopher-DiCas-Le-Parfum-Extrait and has no credible claim of fair use or permission. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

the copyright of the photo belong to the photographer Maria Sita that is announced on the photograph. Why do you create all these problems? And why i cannot write an article that everywhere in perfumery articles exist references Scorpioartlover (talk) 12:07, 13 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
The copyright belong to this photographer https://www.sitamaria.com/p853244356 and i have her permission. Did you see that you create problems without knowledge. It is written above the photo whose rights are these. Scorpioartlover (talk) 12:14, 13 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
You uploaded it tagged as 'own work', which it clearly is not. Also, a file page is not a place to make a fake article because your advertising has been rejected elsewhere. - MrOllie (talk) 12:15, 13 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Who you are that you create problems that do not exist and blackmail me? Everything that i post you blackmail it with silly excusions that do not exist because other refferences to other brands exist. Answer to this Scorpioartlover (talk) 12:18, 13 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
That's not what Blackmail is. I'm just a regular editor who is interested in keeping advertising out of the encyclopedia. MrOllie (talk) 12:20, 13 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Dear Wikipedia Editors,
I hope this email finds you well. I am writing to address recent edits made by the Wikipedia user "MrOllie" on the Niche Perfumery article. While I appreciate the collaborative nature of Wikipedia, there seems to be an issue with the removal of historical references and the inclusion of certain brands and their iconic perfumes.
I have observed that MrOllie has reported real photos of Opium, but without an explanation for the removal of historical references. Additionally, I noticed that the information on other brands and their iconic perfumes has been edited, and I would like to seek clarification on this matter.
The Niche Perfumery article aims to provide a comprehensive and historical overview of the industry, including key milestones, influential figures, and iconic fragrances associated with notable houses. The brands mentioned, such as L'Artisan Parfumeur, Aedes de Venustas, Jo Malone London, Christopher DiCas Haute Parfumerie, Santa Maria Novella, and Rancé 1795, have played pivotal roles in shaping the niche perfumery landscape.
I would like to understand the rationale behind the removal of historical references and iconic perfume information, especially considering that these details contribute to the informative nature of the article rather than serving as advertisements.
Moreover, I have noted that MrOllie is reported to create problems and conspiracies without knowing the truth, and this raises concerns about the accuracy and neutrality of the edits. I kindly request a transparent explanation for the selective removal of information from the Niche Perfumery article.
Your assistance and clarification on this matter would be greatly appreciated. I believe in the collaborative spirit of Wikipedia and hope to ensure that the Niche Perfumery article accurately reflects the historical and informative content intended.
Thank you for your attention to this matter. I look forward to a constructive resolution.
Best regards,
ScorpioArtLover
If onlyhad all these money of these brands, I would be very proud. But I become angry when the conditions of wikipedia are infos and MrOllie creates conspiracies Scorpioartlover (talk) 12:38, 13 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
