Blackest Night Edit War
[edit]Some quick points
[edit]I've reverted a number of edits because:
- We don't add plot when the issues haven't been published - solicitations don't count as sources
- We use the cover dates, which run two months ahead of the date the issue is released
Hope that helps explain my edits.
I also suspect that the "People who I know that are annoying" section on your user page violates WP:USER, specifically WP:UP#NOT #5 and 10. (Emperor (talk) 23:11, 17 May 2009 (UTC))
Your recent edits
[edit]Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. If you can't type the tilde character, you should click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --SineBot (talk) 23:10, 26 May 2009 (UTC)

re: the Blackest Night: Batman AfD
[edit]Read up on how AfDs work.
Just because you believe you've gotten the last word in does not mean you "win".
Generally they stay open for about a week at which point an admin, generally an uninvolved one, looks at what the editors who've commented have said. Evaluates it. And determines one of three results:
- Keep either by virtue strong arguments based on policy/guidelines or consensus;
- Delete/rename either by virtue strong arguments based on policy/guidelines or consensus; or
- No consensus either way.
Since the AfD went up on the 2nd, it likely won't close before the 9th or 10th.
Now, some of how you've gone about things deserve comment on the AfD page.

Re: Red Robin
[edit]Done. The main problem I'm noticing in your edits isn't the content for the most part, it's basically just formatting. In most cases you don't need to add extraneous details like what story a particular title is tying into, usually you just add a link to the story itself and let the reader figure it out. As a pointer you might want to look over some WikiProject Comics policies in your spare time and just look at the formatting of some good articles to see how it's done.
Any other advice, let me know. --CmdrClow (talk) 04:27, 12 June 2009 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of Blackest Night: Crossovers
[edit]A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Blackest Night: Crossovers, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:
- lacks references, no indication of how this is notable
All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. RadioFan (talk) 03:28, 9 July 2009 (UTC)
Blackest Night: Batman
[edit]The problem is they have a point - this largely spins off from Batman RIP and the tie-in with BftC is pretty minimal.
Please take this to the talk page at Talk:Batman: Battle for the Cowl#Blackest Night tie-in as you are edit warring with the other editor and are bordering on WP:3RR. If you both continue this warnings can be issued and/or the article locked until this is resolved. (Emperor (talk) 13:09, 19 July 2009 (UTC))
Edit-warring
[edit]You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24 hour period. Additionally, users who perform a large number of reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring, even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing. Please do not repeatedly revert edits, but use the talk page to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. If necessary, pursue dispute resolution. Enigmamsg 05:30, 21 July 2009 (UTC)
Could you please re-write that?
[edit]In the article discussion, I asked - rather specifically asked:
- "Without commenting on the merits of the others' positions, could folk verify that I am understanding their positions accurately?"
It is important to limit the content of your response to further clarifying your position, not your position in relation to others, so as to avoid further tangential discussion. I would like to suggest that you edit yourself to remove any reference to any position other than your own. Believe that I will enforce the same amongst the other two users, so the quicker you act on this, the better. I can almost guarantee that if you do not, choose to do so, you are only hurting your own position. - Arcayne (cast a spell) 17:27, 21 July 2009 (UTC)
- Do you wish to remove the first attempts? The past post was what we were looking for. - Arcayne (cast a spell) 19:49, 21 July 2009 (UTC)
Yes I would like it to be removed. --Schmeater (talk) 19:52, 21 July 2009 (UTC)
- Done, Now, we wait for the other folk to weigh in, and we can proceed. :). - Arcayne (cast a spell) 20:03, 21 July 2009 (UTC)
Arbitrary break
[edit]I think that, while your intentions for improving the article are good and commendable, you are still kinda new at editing articles in Wikipedia. We aren't allowed to make some of the connections you think we should be making. I don't want to discourage you, and I suspect that pointing you to a bunch of links might do that. I am going to put a template here on your talk page that will help you decide for yourself what you want to learn about; it will help you to understand the policies and guidelines that are getting tossed around in discussions. Feel free to delete it if you don't want it. My door is always open if you have a question or need help in understanding something. If I don't know the answer,I will help you find the answer.
Just keep a cool head and focus on the edits, avoiding entirely comments about an editor, especially negative comments. Good luck to you. :) - Arcayne (cast a spell) 16:19, 22 July 2009 (UTC)

[edit]You see I wan't to confirm one thing did you wan't Blackest Night: Batman in Battle for the Cowl because of it's articles deletion, and what relation does it have to Battle for the Cowl.--Stinkysoxmon (talk) 15:41, 15 August 2009 (UTC)

WP:COMICS
[edit]Summarization should never be on a per-issue basis and should only outline the plot rather than describe minor details. Additionally, plot descriptions must include cited reference to critical analysis published in secondary sources. Editors should approach the discussion of fictional concepts within a "real world context"; this means editors should describe fictional elements in terms of how they relate to the real world, as fictional characters or topics. --Cameron Scott (talk) 20:52, 21 August 2009 (UTC)
I am not sure what is difficult to understand, we do not write issue by issue plot summaries and we write about comics as fictional items not as if they are real. Now you could edit war over this but it is likely to end with you blocked. in addition, you are now removing relevent referenced material and that can be considered vandalism. So how would you like to do this? --Cameron Scott (talk) 21:07, 21 August 2009 (UTC)
also is it okay if I make a page called Blackest Night Tie-in's for a series of plot summaries? It's been discussed and rejected on the Blackest Night page so would likely just be merged back into that article. --Cameron Scott (talk) 06:55, 22 August 2009 (UTC)
Batgirl
[edit]I think you should add the info on Stephanie Brown to the Batgirl article. I also think you should provide a reliable source for the information pertaining to its relationship to other series, and the info in the second paragraph. If it's out already, you could find an image of its cover to add to the Infobox. I also copyedited it to add some formatting and wikilinks. Aside from that, what help do you need with it? How would you like to handle this
[edit]If I reported a certain account as being a sock of yours and they checked the IPs, I'm guessing they would come back as the same? Now we could get into a "I have no idea what you are talking about" and I could get a IP check down or you could log into that other account and put up a 'retired' notice and we will leave it at that? So how would you like to handle this? --Cameron Scott (talk) 12:45, 3 September 2009 (UTC)
Hard way it is then. --Cameron Scott (talk) 06:40, 7 September 2009 (UTC)
- This is the second time this has happened (see also). You are going to have to do something because if this happens a third time then assuming good faith is going to be tricky. You can add password protection to your screensaver, for example. (Emperor (talk) 03:13, 15 September 2009 (UTC))

question's
go's
implant's

and on and on and on..

I will ask you once again - please ensure that if you try and re-add the material that you have read it and removed the errors. If you are unable to do this, I will have to ask that you are banned from the article because your actions (even after you have been told about them) degrade the quality of the article. --Cameron Scott (talk) 06:58, 22 September 2009 (UTC)

BioShock template
[edit]Hi Schmeater,
I had to undo your edits to the BioShock template. Assuming good faith, I think you'll probably thought that it was for the better, but I honestly don't think so. I put a link to System Shock 2 in the 'See also' section of the template, but claiming it's part of one big franchise is more than a bit farfetched. Thanks, and happy editing. --Soetermans | drop me a line | what I'd do now? 16:04, 5 February 2010 (UTC)

[edit]Hi Schmeater, please refrain from adding original research to Wikipedia articles, like you've done twice now to the article on BioShock Your undoing has been reverted. Claiming that BioShock and SystemShock are part of one universe, isn't mentioned in any source; BioShock is considered the spiritual succesor and that's it. As you seem to be unfamiliar with the term canon, please take a look at canon (fiction). --Soetermans | drop me a line | what I'd do now? 11:10, 9 February 2010 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of Windstorm Studios
[edit]You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles. See the Article Wizard.
Thank you.
A tag has been placed on Windstorm Studios, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be unambiguous advertising that only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 11, as well as the guidelines on spam.
If you can indicate why the subject of this article is not blatant advertising, you may contest the tagging. To do this, please add {{hangon}}
on the top of Windstorm Studios and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would help make it encyclopedic, as well as adding any citations from independent reliable sources to ensure that the article will be verifiable. Speedy deletion nomination of Conduit (Mythology)
[edit]A tag has been placed on Conduit (Mythology) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content. You may wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. I42 (talk) 18:41, 6 July 2010 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of Windstorm Studios
[edit]A tag has been placed on Windstorm Studios requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for organizations and companies. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

There is an active wiki for The Conduit with over a hundred articles thus far
[edit]- You might want to check out http://conduit.wikia.com/wiki/The_Conduit since you are interested in contributing to information about the series. Originally the Wikipedia was a totally different community, people filling it with everything imaginable, and many people did come here to read things they were interested in. Then the deletionists came, and have been mercilessly doing everything they can to destroy what they consider "fancruft", despite the fact that it is what most people who visit the Wikipedia actually read. When people Google for something, they find a link to the Wikipedia article, and then one to the Wiki at wikia.com appearing, and increasingly are going to the wikia. "According to Quantcast.com, over 33 million people around the globe now visit Wikia every month!" [2] Dream Focus 22:38, 12 July 2010 (UTC)

Hi Schmeater. I noticed you created a Requests for Adminship page some time ago; I was wondering as to what the status of that request might be. If you are still intent on running for adminship with that request, please do let me know; otherwise, I'll go ahead and delete the RfA page for you in about a week or so from today. Eagles 24/7 (C) 17:52, 4 December 2010 (UTC)
- Thanks for responding. If you want other users to !vote on your RfA, you will have to transclude it at WP:RFA. However, I would advise you not to run at this time. Your edit count is fairly low (only about 900 edits), and !voters will see this as lack of experience. The standards for RfA have gone dramatically up recently, and now successful candidates tend to have at least 4,000 edits. Of course, this is your decision whether to run or not, but please take my words into consideration. Thanks, Eagles 24/7 (C) 02:27, 6 December 2010 (UTC)

- Again, I would advise that you don't run, but if you are still intent on running, you will need to transclude your RfA at WP:RFA by following the instructions at Wikipedia:Requests for adminship/Nominate#To nominate yourself (#9 and 10, specifically). Eagles 24/7 (C) 19:01, 11 December 2010 (UTC)
- Okay, I will delete it now. I look forward to supporting in a future RfA of yours if you gain some more experience editing here. Regards, Eagles 24/7 (C) 19:14, 11 December 2010 (UTC)

Crash Bandicoot/CTR
[edit]Hello. It seems that there is a problem in the article Crash_Bandicoot_(series). The section Crash Team Racing contains the same text than the previous section. I just wanted to inform you about this little issue because you are the author of the games summaries in this article. Regards. Maimai009 23:27, 14 February 2011 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of Hemiogenic
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Hemiogenic requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Zakhalesh (talk) 18:39, 9 April 2011 (UTC)
Discussions concerning Indian Subcontinent
[edit]An ip user Special:Contributions/76.67.18.192 is trying to bring up discussions about this at South Asia and Indian Subcontinent. They are also trying to rename a section from "Definition by South Asian Studies programs" to "Definition by tertiary studies programs"
Since you were active on this subject in the past, I thought I should warn you. (you are being informed of this because I saw you participated in discussions in the Talk:South Asia archives) Thegreyanomaly (talk) 01:03, 22 April 2011 (UTC)
I just want to let you know ahead of time, I respect your viewpoint and am not looking for an edit war or flame fest. I understand you're looking to improve the article and related ones, but please understand others are as well and there was already an established consensus for the format and a non-merger. We can re-establish consensus if you like, which I am happy to do, but please give time for such a discussion. You started a discussion at the video game project page, please give time for other regulars to weigh in before any further edits from the original consensus version. Normally in such consensus generating discussions the original version stands while a consensus for the desired changes is formed, since the change is what has to be discussed for consensus or no consensus. --Marty Goldberg (talk) 04:29, 30 April 2011 (UTC)
The article Centipede: Infestation has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- no evidence
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 08:45, 30 April 2011 (UTC)
- While the PROD was contested, please remember not to copypaste copyrighted material from websites onto articles; I removed the Gameplay and Plot section from the article because of that. While you can use other sites as a source of information, you cannot use them as a source of sentences. Regards, –MuZemike 03:36, 1 May 2011 (UTC)
Atari merge discussion
[edit]The discussion is already taking place at the original discussion you started at the main video game project talk page. Please keep discussions at a single location (the video game project talk page) for completion sake. What you are proposing is against the previuosly established consensus and where the article came from originally (a single unified page) years ago. So far, the current consensus is again against this. It appears you're under the misconception that there's a single entity called "Atari" when there is not, "Atari" is currently used as an abbreviation for Atari SA and it's brand. --Marty Goldberg (talk) 18:00, 30 April 2011 (UTC)
- It's a video game project matter at this point, as you had already started the discussion there. Please go to the link I gave you to join back in to the discussion. --Marty Goldberg (talk) 18:10, 30 April 2011 (UTC)
Daggerdale sequel
[edit]Hey. I don't know much about the game, but Gamma World doesn't actually seem to be a sequel to Daggerdale, rather is just uses the same engine. If so it shouldn't be on the Daggerdale page, but as you probably know more I thought I'd ask you before doing anything. Muskeato 01:18, 29 June 2011 (UTC)
Dark Alliance Engine
[edit]Please note that your edits to X-Men Legends and X-Men Legends II: Rise of Apocalypse are incorrect. They don't use the Dark Alliance Engine, they use Vicarious Visions Alchemy as their engine. This is both well documented on the web and shown on the in-game introductions. Please stop adding it. --Teancum (talk) 10:28, 7 July 2011 (UTC)
MW3's Engine
[edit]Regarding your edits to the engine section of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, it has been CONFIRMED by Robert Bowling on reddit quite a while ago that MW3 will run on the MW3 Engine a.k.a. IW 5.0. Read the ref link about it if you must, but please don't change it again. The ref your going off of was before Robert Bowling had said that MW3 would have a new engine. It's a very old one, and shouldn't be used. Thank you. Saru786 (talk) 11:41, 17 September 2011 (UTC)
Some tips to help you out!
[edit]Hi Schmeater, I thought I'd drop a few notes on your talk page with some help on writing articles :o)
First of all, it may be best for you to do a bit of reading, starting with the Wikipedia manual of style, which will give you a lot of information about how Wikipedia prefers its articles to be written. It's not as hard to follow as it might look; quite a bit of the information there probably won't be vital for you at first.
Second, I recommend you make a user sandbox - which is just an area you can use to practise in, and to make notes in, and to get things ready in. If you click this red link: user:Schmeater/Sandbox, that will let you create that page (it gives you an edit window to start work in). Anything, anywhere, on the help and information pages which gives you an example, try it out in your sandbox until you're familiar with it.
For your article, the next thing you want to do is start collecting as much information as you can about it. Google searches (particularly in Books and Scholar) will be your best friend for this! Once you've found the information, the next most important thing is to start writing up each fact in your own words (very important, this), and make a note at the same time of exactly where that information came from. Build in the references as you go along; I'm going to copy in, down below this, a whole heap of help on doing references, which was produced by one of our best teachers (Chzz).
Here's another place that you'll find incredibly useful - citation templates which you can copy and paste into your sandbox, between <ref></ref> tags; you just fill in the blanks from your sources into the template, and you'll end up with nicely formatted inline citations :o) It all helps. Remember to add a references section to your sandbox (make a new line, and put ==References== on it, and type {{reflist}} on the next line, so that you can see how your citations look as you do them. Remember to save your page often! You don't want to lose your work.
Hopefully this will give you a good start and make life easier for you.
One last thing to keep as a motto: "It's better to write one good, well-referenced, nicely-presented article than it is to create fifty unreferenced one-line stubs!" Pesky (talk …stalk!) 07:08, 24 October 2011 (UTC)
How references work
[edit]Simple references
[edit]These require two parts;
- a)
Chzz is 98 years old.<ref> "The book of Chzz", Aardvark Books, 2009. </ref> He likes tea. <ref> [http://www.nicecupofteaandasitdown.com Tea website] </ref>
- b) A section called "References" with the special code "{{reflist}}";
== References == {{reflist}}
(an existing article is likely to already have one of these sections)
To see the result of that, please look at user:chzz/demo/simpleref. Edit it, and check the code; perhaps make a test page of your own, such as user:Schmeater/reftest and try it out.
Named references
[edit]Chzz was born in 1837. <ref name=MyBook> "The book of Chzz", Aardvark Books, 2009. </ref> Chzz lives in Footown.<ref name=MyBook/>
Note that the second usage has a / (and no closing ref tag). This needs a reference section as above; please see user:chzz/demo/namedref to see the result.
Citation templates
[edit]You can put anything you like between <ref> and </ref>, but using citation templates makes for a neat, consistent look;
Chzz has 37 Olympic medals. <ref> {{Citation | last = Smith | first = John | title = Olympic medal winners of the 20th century | publication-date = 2001 | publisher = [[Cambridge University Press]] | page = 125 | isbn = 0-521-37169-4 }} </ref>
Please see user:chzz/demo/citeref to see the result.
For more help and tips on that subject, see user:chzz/help/refs.
Something to make your life easier!
[edit]Hi there Schmeater! I've just come across one of your articles, and noticed that you might appreciate some help with references.
You might want to consider using this tool - it makes your life a whole heap easier, by filling in complete citation templates for your links. All you do is install the script on Special:MyPage/common.js, or or Special:MyPage/vector.js, then paste the bare url (without [...] brackets) between your <ref></ref> tabs, and you'll find a clickable link called Reflinks in your toolbox section of the page (probably in the left hand column). Then click that tool. It does all the rest of the work (provided that you remember to save the page! It doesn't work for everything (particularly often not for pdf documents), but for pretty much anything ending in "htm" or "html" (and with a title) it will do really, really well. Happy editing! Your edit in Religion in Thailand
[edit]It is unclear to me what is meant with this edit of yours. Regards, - Takeaway (talk) 04:42, 8 December 2011 (UTC)
- It is unclear what the sentence "and is the the religion's population comprises of the majority of the South Asian population" means. - Takeaway (talk) 19:48, 8 December 2011 (UTC)
- I would also be very careful "assuming" things. If I were to assume what would be the 4th most practised religion in Thailand, it would be animism, practised by many of the hill tribes in Thailand. - Takeaway (talk) 19:57, 8 December 2011 (UTC)

Fluency, Grammar, and Other Writing Conventions
[edit]Since I am new to editing/commenting on Wikipedia, let me preface this by saying that I hope this is the place for this comment. If it is not, I am sorry, and obviously, delete it.
First, let me say that I appreciate you starting and constantly updating the Baldur's Gate Enhanced Edition page. It is people like you who make wikipedia such a tremendous resource. Second, your articles would be much more effective if you focused on a few aspects of your writing.
1) Fluency: In your articles, you tend to write very short and choppy simple sentences. Although there is nothing inherently wrong with this, your writing will be much more effective and readable if you vary your sentence structure and add transitions in your writing. You can do the former by constructing meaningful complex sentences (i.e. sentences that contain a dependent clause), and you can do the latter by using a variety of words that help transition from sentence to sentence. By doing this, your reader will be more engaged, and as a result, more people will reap the benefits of your hard word and know more about the topics that you are writing about.
2) Tense: use correct tense and avoid verb construction that is unnecessarily wordy and indirect.
3) Comma Splices: In the two articles that I have read of yours, you often use a comma to join two independent clauses that are not joined by a coordinating conjunction (i.e. a comma splice). For example, the first line on your user page, "I am Schmeater, I believe that becoming...," is a comma splice. You should either replace the comma with a semi-colon or a period. If you want to keep the comma, you need to add a conjunction between the two independent clauses (e.g. I am Schmeater, and I believe...). Although this may not seem like a big deal, it does weaken your credibility as a writing because some may be turned off by poor punctuation, and it distorts the meaning of the writing.
4) FANBOYS: Another comma usage issue. Basically, if you have two independent clauses that are joined by "for, and, nor, but, or, yet, or so," you need to have a comma before one of the conjunctions (e.g. The dog ran in the park, and it ate a bone). Again, although this does not seem like a huge issue, it helps create clarity in your writing. A skilled reader will see the comma and realize that the author is starting on another thought that can stand on its own. Without the comma, the reader could think that you are making a list or something else, which will reduce the clarity of the work.
5) More Comma Usage: When you start a sentence with a prepositional phrase, you need to separate it with a comma (e.g. Without a comma, the reader...). Additionally, when you start a phrase with a dependent clause, you need to separate it by a comma (e.g. this sentence). Again, using the commas in this instance achieves two effects: 1) your writing will be clearer and 2) it will help you write more effectively by forcing you to understand when you are writing a dependent clause.
6) Fragments: Make sure that every sentence is complete and is not disconnected from the main clause. For example, in your profile, you write, "Which is now, because I find that people who are admins use their powers incorrectly and pick on us and only put in what they think is right and only a few are exceptions." In this fragment, you have no main clause. Your sentence starts with a prepositional phrase and ends with a dependent clause; you do not have a independent (main) clause to make the sentence complete.
With all of this in mind, this is how I would re-write introduction to your user page:
"I am Schmeater, and initially, I thought that becoming an administrator would cause people to distrust me on this wiki. With that in mind, I decided to become an administrator only when I thought the time was right. That time is now because I find that most people who are admins. use their powers incorrectly by picking on other wiki users and by only allowing content that they think is right to be posted. By becoming an administrator, I will take Wikipedia back to its joyous age of 2006 by being the right type of administrator and by including and allowing the right information/data in the wiki of Wikipedia."
By no means do I believe that my revision is "best," but I do believe that is is clearer and more effective at conveying your message.
If you work on these basic principles, your already phenomenal contribution to wikipedia will be significantly better. Please do not take offense to anything that I wrote, as I admire what you do and I am only attempting to improve your articles.

List of Batman Beyond characters and Joe Chill
[edit]Hi, can you help me proofread what I wrote on List of Batman Beyond characters#Comic books and Joe Chill about the new character Jake Chill? Thank you very much.--NeoBatfreak (talk) 05:04, 21 June 2012 (UTC)
- Thank you for the copy edit. Although Jake Chill's story isn't over yet, as we have to wait for the next issue, after he alter the details of his Wayne-Power uniform as his new costume and built some gadgets (he's also a genius in his own right, and obviously they are going to be lethal). You can imagine him as a Batman Beyond-version of Lock-Up, just as Inque was to Clayface. I'm guessing that you've watched the show yourself as well. How do you feel that about writer Adam Beechen retconning what had established from Batman Beyond of Mr. Fixx as Warren McGinnis's killer to Jake Chill anyway? Even in the comics books, it is established that Jake Chill was one of the guards that Terry had fought in the second part of "Rebirth."--NeoBatfreak (talk) 21:02, 21 June 2012 (UTC)

Dwayne Johnson
[edit]Hi. I'm confused by your edit to Dwayne Johnson. What is this "non-timelinic format" you speak of, and what does it have to do with re-adding 4,000 bytes of wordiness? As far as I can tell, it's in chronological order, either way. I've reverted you, but I'm willing to hear you out. You may have a point, but it's not apparent from your edit summary.
I've also reverted your paragraph break between WrestleMania XXVIII and the next Raw. This isn't as big a deal, but I think the match with Cena and Rock's reaction to it belong together. InedibleHulk (talk) 00:23, 25 November 2012 (UTC)
I had to revert you again. You restored a lot of poor writing. I'm not doing this to be rude, but Wikipedia has standards for English. I'll look through your edit history and redo any changes that actually benefit the article. Your one summary about the "RKO finisher" makes sense, for example. That was mainly for the benefit of readers who don't watch wrestling, but a Wikilink would probably suffice. If there's anything else, please bring it up on the Talk Page first. What you see as an error could just be something you don't understand. This may help explain how paragraphs work. You seem to have a problem with those. InedibleHulk (talk) 09:18, 28 November 2012 (UTC)
Surely you can see the problem with a sentence like "The Rock would vow to leave the WWE for good, but would be attacked by Bill Goldberg, who he would go on to lose to at Backlash, which Goldberg won." Why all the "would"? What's wrong with "vowed", "was attacked" or "lost to"? Is it necessary to say Goldberg won the match Rock lost? InedibleHulk (talk) 09:38, 28 November 2012 (UTC)

We noticed though that when you edited Detective Comics, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Frank Tieri (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

N52 Futures End plot
[edit]Hi Schmeater. Thank you for adding the plot info. If you can, can you try to cite it using {{cite comic}}? That would be very helpful in the long run of the page. Even if it is bare info, that's fine. The page is on my list of things to eventually get to expand, and I can do the citation expansions if needed. Thanks. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 02:16, 1 August 2014 (UTC)
Proposed deletion of Mesozoica
[edit]The article Mesozoica has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Not likely a notable game at this time, especially given that it hasn't been distributed yet and isn't by a standing game producer. See WP:CRYSTAL.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. —Largo Plazo (talk) 19:44, 24 March 2015 (UTC)
