Getting to the centre of center

Don't know the precise "Brit" rule. Canucks use both. Le Francais est centre. The proper is centre.(usually) But we are parked next door to the U.S. and for some of them.. we have to dumb it down center is used. Mostly for mathematics. I shop at a shopping centre. I live far away from the centre of town. My UK English spell checker in my Firefox browser tells me that center is wrong. 156.34.142.110 (talk) 19:11, 24 January 2008 (UTC)

I could have been WAY more of a smartarse here... but I decided to play nice even though some/one of the previous editors is less than nice in his personal vendetta. Since his "internal hand" watches this talk page I expect he'll have some whiny-crybaby complaint on some other talk page. :D I am used to anti-IPs. There are lots of admins who are anti-IP (although if it were well known that they were they would never have been admin'd) It annoys me... but never breaks my spirit too much because in the end... I have 10 times the contributions that these editors do and... you guessed it.... not a bad edit in the lot of 'em. My Wiki-ego is outweighed only by my real-life sarcasm Stay on the centerline Scarian :D . 156.34.142.110 (talk) 20:16, 24 January 2008 (UTC)
Nah... unlikely. When they emerge from under their tressles they will have some "not nice" things to say. And then they will sneak back down under... and wait for the billy-goats. :D 156.34.142.110 (talk) 20:50, 24 January 2008 (UTC)

RfA thank-spam

Scarian/Archive 9, I wish to tender my sincere thanks for your support in my successful request for adminship, which ended with 37 supports, 2 opposes, and 2 neutral. The results of the RfA are extremely bittersweet because of the recent departure of my nominator, Rudget. Hopefully I can live up to his and your expectations. I would especially like to thank Epbr123 and TomStar81 for mentioning that they were preparing to offer me a nomination. The past week has been one of the most stressful weeks in my life, and I appreciate your vote of confidence in me. If you ever need anything, just get in touch. -MBK004 20:59, 24 January 2008 (UTC)

Help desk templates

Hi Scarian! Noting your recent response to User:NASCAR Fan24 at the help desk, I thought I'd drop by and let you know about the help templates we have, one of which resulted in the response he posted (I assume you don't know about them given the context of your post). Please see {{help desk templates}}. The one he used was {{UPIMG}}. {{Creation}} gets the most use. Cheers.--Fuhghettaboutit (talk) 23:12, 24 January 2008 (UTC)

Re: User:Hawks10

Sorry for the late reply. I don't think he needs to be reported to ANI or anything - most of his edits are in good faith, he just doesn't understand how Wiki works. He's slowed down editing now anyway. If he carries on, I'll send him a message about wp:npov, wp:cite etc. Funeral 00:48, 25 January 2008 (UTC)

could you help me "furl"

User:Fat pig73 great username eh??? and his IP sock were caught flagging up a bunch of Canadian Prime Minster bio boxes. I rv'd most and left a note. Some of his flag edits were prots (Harper, Mulroney, Trudeau, Turner) I can't touch them. Could you "furl them up" for me. Not just for me... for Canada :D . 156.34.219.91 (talk) 14:23, 25 January 2008 (UTC)

Two Points

Don't talk to me in template form. That is contrary to WP:Civil (I know how much you guys like the rules round here.)

Who have I insulted exactly? When you accuse someone of something, its better to use some evidence. Iloveamerica2much (talk) 13:42, 26 January 2008 (UTC)

ILA2M to ANI

Hey Scarian, this isn't really something to be reporting to ANI; we've got several admins already keeping an eye out here. Don't worry about it too much, okay? :) GlassCobra 14:15, 26 January 2008 (UTC)

I already took care of it. Keep up the good work, my friend. GlassCobra 14:18, 26 January 2008 (UTC)

You have an email

An email you have. Heading out on to the ice now... flags are up. 142.167.66.181 (talk) 14:58, 26 January 2008 (UTC)

So wadaya think? Is this an NPA, an uncivil or both. Feel like an RCU. I suspect a single set of hands may be at work. Both have edited the article as IPs will have to trace to source and count the chairs. :D . 142.167.73.151 (talk) 17:01, 26 January 2008 (UTC)
I think I got 'em.
Strawberry edits as an IP here and again with the same related edit summary here... this time as Strawberry. The same IP range issues the NPA vio here... and then corrects his signature here to the other "opinion" in the debate. Trying to created some sort of false consensus to rv the article from "encyclopedia build" to fansite. All edits are coming from Rotterdam. Is this a valid RCU or what? I was speaking with Alf about what makes a good RCU I will ask his opinion as well. Can you assist? 142.167.73.151 (talk) 17:13, 26 January 2008 (UTC)

I don't make mistakes? I think I made one back in 2005 or 2006? :D. How do you think I should expand the evidence above? Alf says it looks "cooked". So an attempt has been made to force a false consensus. Grounds for an RCU if I've ever seen one. There is lots of edits from 62.X and Strawberry where they mirror one another and use repetitive edit summaries. And Tiger tipped his hat and dropped it hard with his signature correction today swapping the 62.X sig for his own. It appears like thing sort of "false con" game has been played out before on that same articles talk page. The editor has a fondness for British blues-rock guitarists. Both names and IP addresses are popping up in other articles. But the hard evidence of consensus fraud all shows up in concrete on the Taylor page. Man, my head hurts!!! 142.167.73.151 (talk) 18:08, 26 January 2008 (UTC)

They're defo socks... I spoke to User:Snowolf briefly but he didn't reply back to me and I'm partioning my hard drive to install Vista so I'm busy most of tonight. If you want me to... I can RCU before I dash off? ScarianCall me Pat 18:19, 26 January 2008 (UTC)
That would be great. Do you have enough? Compiling my whiney "back history" along with the edits? Will it be enough? 142.167.73.151 (talk) 18:28, 26 January 2008 (UTC)
They're the exact same I.P. address :-D We've got enough :-D ScarianCall me Pat 18:44, 26 January 2008 (UTC)
Hold on, upon looking through RCU we need to know how they're breaking policy by influencing consensus... any evidence of that? ScarianCall me Pat 18:54, 26 January 2008 (UTC)

Editor 1 disagrees with deleting the uncited fancruft and begins deleting {cite requested} tags. When confronted about how many WP:POL and WP:GUIDELINES his edits will ignore editor number 2 suddenly arrives on the scene and supports editor 1's desire to revert the article back to it's fansite state. Creating a false consensus that the improvement edits are not needed... even though they were accompanied with clear edit summaries and quoted all proper policies and guidelines. 142.167.73.151 (talk) 19:02, 26 January 2008 (UTC)

Okay I'll say "Use of possible sock account to enforce a false consensus on the Mick Taylor article". ScarianCall me Pat 19:08, 26 January 2008 (UTC)
You're the man. Why Vista???.... ick! 142.167.73.151 (talk) 19:30, 26 January 2008 (UTC)

Thatcher said our RCU was "rather obvious but not serious"???... I have no idea what that means. Using 2 separate accounts to influence consensus in a content dispute isn't serious? He says to copy it to SSP. I never seen much diff between the two... one just supports the other. 156.34.219.91 (talk) 12:17, 28 January 2008 (UTC)

Yeah, I'll bring it up over there... ugh... more work for me. I'm starting to get tired of Wikipedia, Libsey. It's exhausting. ScarianCall me Pat 12:58, 28 January 2008 (UTC)
It's a thankless, 1 sstep forward, 2 step back kinda hobby. I've seen many a friend quit and never come back. And I've had friends quit and "say" they weren't coming back... but came back anyways. It's just that kind of place. I would understand completely if you just up and quit. But I hope you don't. I've quit Wiki before. Di it yesterday, and the day before that, and the day before that, and the day before that, and the day before that, and the day before that, and the day before that, and the day before that, and the day before that, and the day before that, and the day before that, and the day before that, and the day before that, and the day before that, and the day before that... etc, etc, etc :D . But, here I am. Wikipedia's integrity as a resource is greatly improved when you're in it. Go to a buddies house... (one who isn't a Wikipedian)... don't log in... just RC patrol for a bit... find a repeat vandal... rv his edits and then... instead of issuing one of Wiki's friendly, flowery, poetic and useless warnings... tell the guy to F.O. :D. 156.34.142.110 (talk) 14:11, 28 January 2008 (UTC)

Ugh!

You ruined my beautiful edit summary, I was going to say "revert while it is true, you must provide a source and make sure that the content is encyclopedic in nature" on this revert! Although your summary was nice too! ;) 74.133.9.95 (talk) 15:38, 27 January 2008 (UTC)

No, no. It is quite alright. No need to get overly exorbitant :D. I'll just have to be quicker next time! BTW, you can just reply here, whenever I leave a message, I'm pretty diligent about checking back for replies. I'd like to keep my talk page clean so that the next person assigned this IP won't be like what the heck? From all the messages. Though I've had this address for a few months now. Perhaps it's static and I didn't know it? 74.133.9.95 (talk) 15:44, 27 January 2008 (UTC)
Ah, you're an experienced user... I'm assuming, like all of the experienced anons out there, you've spurned an account for good old fashioned anonymity? :-) - Do you not have an account? ScarianCall me Pat 15:52, 27 January 2008 (UTC)
You assume correctly! I had an account once, (I suppose technically speaking I *still* have an account, I just haven't used it in a while.) but I prefer editing from an IP for a few reasons, namely you get ignored more often, which means less drama, and less attachment to awesome editors, which makes it easier to take breaks and walk away. Only thing I miss is the ability to create pages. :D 74.133.9.95 (talk) 17:21, 27 January 2008 (UTC)

AIV report

Hey man, just wanted to let you know that the edits you listed from User:Mondo della moda are not strict vandalism. I didn't go into great depth, but it looks like a rather basic content dispute, which don't get reported to AIV. You might try heading over to WP:3O. GlassCobra 15:59, 27 January 2008 (UTC)

No worries. If Gogo is keeping an eye on the situation, it'll get handled. Keep up the good work! GlassCobra 16:06, 27 January 2008 (UTC)

Quick on the draw

Itchy trigger finger there? That's OK, this whole episode is pretty confusing. Maybe you can help explain to Environnement2100 why it's acceptable to move the discussion to my talk page. NJGW (talk) 16:13, 27 January 2008 (UTC)

Scarian, please do not contribute to the edit war by NJGW : the repeated reverts by him do concern the article, as you correctly noticed first time :), so the discussion should stay with the Talk:page. --Environnement2100 (talk) 16:31, 27 January 2008 (UTC)

What's the problem, are you worried about truth?

I was under the impression that your job was to help keep wiki accurate yet first you revert my edit and then when I post what I hope was a polite message about it you remove it. I was only asking how I should correct the Matchday Soccer article. Maybe I have to get my lawyer to write to wiki asking them to remove the article as it clearly states untruths about something I made but wouldn't that be silly? I can understand you made an error but at least be man enough to admit it and not just remove the comment. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 83.67.105.101 (talk) 21:50, 27 January 2008 (UTC)

No I wasn't making a legal threat (note that the end of the sentence is "but that would be silly") but I am at my wits end trying to correct an error full article about my products. I did an edit, you reverted it and accused me of vandalising it, I wrote to you and you removed the message, I write again and you accuse me - what on earth have I done to merit this. I'm just trying to correct an article that I know the truth of. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 83.67.105.101 (talk) 22:30, 27 January 2008 (UTC)

To the above anon, you will have to excuse Scarian. He/She suffers from a medical disorder called veryseriousaboutthingsthatdontmatter-itis. Thankfully it is not contagious, but for Scarian, this is a very serious and crippling disease. All we can do it pray that he catches a sense of humor somewhere along the way. Re: Oh dear...

You know who's fault that is? Silly WP:HUGGLE... counting the warnings rather than detecting their levels... Sorry about that... I'll shoot through his contribs and see if he does anything else. Cheers for telling me! ScarianCall me Pat 17:58, 27 January 2008 (UTC)

Hi. In future, please inform me of errors when they happen, otherwise there is no way they can be fixed. It both counts the warnings and detects their levels, though relies solely on the latter (or at least should) when deciding whether to issue a vandalism report. I have been unable to find the place where this did not happen; can you point me to it? Thanks – Gurch 14:34, 28 January 2008 (UTC)
As for this, the name of the user you're about to report it given at the top of the report form; you should check that before submitting it. Remember also that it is not generally necessary to use the report button, as huggle will issue reports itself. It should not be possible for you to report yourself anyway, as you are on the whitelist – Gurch 15:12, 28 January 2008 (UTC)

I am offended

And just WHY an I not on the huggle whitelist? I see a few editors on that list who wouldn't know policy from their own pr**k. Where's Funeral?, where's Master of Puppets?, where's that Wikilibs A-hole? :D. As far as I know I am VP whitelisted (if I'm not then VP has gone into the sewer) I, I, I, I just don't know what to say!?!?!?! :D . 156.34.142.110 (talk) 16:41, 28 January 2008 (UTC)

If you want to be whitelisted, create an account – Gurch 17:26, 28 January 2008 (UTC)
Been there, done that. Prefer the purity of being an anon. Didn;t realise that the tool had a built in prejudice. Does a tool with a pre-determined hatred have a valid place on an "encyclopedia that anyone can edit"? 156.34.142.110 (talk) 18:30, 28 January 2008 (UTC)
How about you drop your ego down a notch or two and realize that you aren't so important it's worth me coding a special case into the software purely to deal with your IP address? – Gurch 19:20, 28 January 2008 (UTC)

My ego is outsized only by my sarcasm and smartassesness. If I didn't maintain an equal level of all three my high level of perfection as a dedicated Wikipedia editor would be compromised. Yours isn't the only tool that doesn't understand static IPs... Twinkle doesn't either. Back in my days of using an account I was a VandalProof user. It had a long list of whitelisted IPs. And a m*th*rf*ck*n long list of blacklisted IPs :D . I am just happy I am on the whitelist on that one :D . Have a nice day! 156.34.142.110 (talk) 19:43, 28 January 2008 (UTC)

Why does my tool need to "understand" static IPs? Apart from anything else, the mere fact that an IP address is static says little about whether it is likely to be used for vandalism. As for Twinkle, that's just a script that adds links on diff pages to revert edits. Quite what it would do to "understand" anything I'm not sure – Gurch 19:47, 28 January 2008 (UTC)

Why is this vandalism?

Why did you classify this edit to The Magicians' Guild as vandalism? I felt I was adding potentially useful information. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Strdst grl (talkcontribs) 17:39, 28 January 2008 (UTC)

Okay, not vandalism. My apologies. I'll remove the warning and possibly revert. ScarianCall me Pat 18:10, 28 January 2008 (UTC)
And hopefully calm down a little when using assisted editing tools. A registered user with existing user and user discussion pages adding content to an article, with a summary, is something that at the very least warrants actually looking at the content of the revision. Use of such tools is a privilege granted to trusted users, not a right – Gurch 18:23, 28 January 2008 (UTC)

Re: Anti-IP prejudice

Actually I was struggling with my can-opener trying to open a can of soup that was bent on remaining un-opened. I transferred my hatred for the can-opener onto the Anti-IP biased/anti-Wikipedian philosophy vandal tool. :D 156.34.142.110 (talk) 19:23, 28 January 2008 (UTC)

Calling a counter-vandalism tool "anti-IP biased" is like calling rat poision "anti-rat biased"... – Gurch 19:30, 28 January 2008 (UTC)
Does that mean only IPs are vandals? Or that all IPs are vandals? I revert several hundred acts of vandalism per week for "red name" user accounts that were created for a single purpose. I actually prefer the stereotype school IP type. The "red names" and the "sneakers" are much much harder. I never asked to use the tool. I wasn't sure, and am guessing, that the only way to be whitelisted is to be an approved user. I wasn't sure of the protocol. Figured that anyone with a few tens-of-thousands of edits might be able to just get added in. No worries if that's not the case. I revert more vandalism in a day then most "tool users" and I have no tool what-so-ever I can't believe I just typed that :D A good admin friend editied my IP monobook a few weeks ago in an attempt to poad me up with as many vandalism fighting tools as we could. But... sigh... none worked. I have a very efficient way of A) spotting repeat vandals and B) reverting them quicker then most bots. So I am content. Do not feel like I am attacking you because your vandal tool doesn't like IPs... none of them do. But, like I said earlier, if I didn't run with an elevated level of "cocky" buffered by an equal dose of "it's just a hobby" I wouldn't be near as effective on here. Scarian.... don't tell Alf that I said I haven't got a tool... :D ... I'll never hear the end of it. Have a nice day Gurch!... in the end... if your vandal tool users revert 10 thousand vandals a day.... we all win! :D 156.34.142.110 (talk) 19:59, 28 January 2008 (UTC)
I revert more vandalism in a day then most "tool users" *ahem*. You revert 8 vandal edits today and none the previous 3 days. User:Snowolf reverts 5000 vandal edits in the same time. registered users win – Gurch 20:13, 28 January 2008 (UTC)

I only have this IP when I am in my office. (which I try to avoid as much as possible) When I am out-n-about I can have anywhere from 10 - 20 different IPs in a day. Over the weekend I had 14 different addresses and none were from 156.34.X. As long as Wikipedia is "the encyclopedia that anyone can edit"... then Wikipedia wins... because I am an "anyone". My user account had over 20000 edits when I abandoned it. I have rolled over 30000 as an IP. No regrets. Have a nice day! 156.34.142.110 (talk) 20:36, 28 January 2008 (UTC)

Wiki justice

The Strawberry Tiger ruling came down... gone. I was originally going to get you to flip the entry around because... in my eyes... Tiger was the sock and Strawberry was the master. I let it go... I was just so appreciative of all your help I just figured... lets see what happens. And, in prime Wiki justice form.... Sock Tiger got 72 hours and the master Strawberry.... gone for good. The IP got blocked too... because IPs are scum y'know.... but only for 72. If a new editor arrives to try and cruft things back up after 72 hours... socky, socky, socky, socky, socky, socky, socky, socky :D . Hi Scarian. You're doing an amasing job here, and admin tools would no doubt be a big bonus. However just for info I'm not quite sure you're ready just yet IMHO. A review of this talkpage and associated threads and contributions gives me some concerns about your timing of reporting WP:AIV (sufficent warnings, edits are definately vandalism etc.) and also about fully accurate reversion of vandalism. Don't get me wrong, with your through-put errors will happen, and I accept it's a small percentage of your spot on efforts. But RfA is a beast (as you know I haunt it far too often!) I suspect you'd get a hard time over some recent "mistakes". My advice, for what it's worth, is dif in another 4 weeks of work. Really focus on getting reports dead right - when going to AIV be certain that it would result in a block. As an editor AIV gives someone a "second glance" i.e. you're making a recomendation and an admin reviews and decides. As an admin the buck stops with you. You're nearly there so let me put it this way. An RfA right now would be borderline because of recent slip ups. Four weeks of solid contributions with no errors should see it fly through. Better to wait and get it right, than run now, fail, and have to wait 10-12 weeks before running again. I hope that's not harsh, and it is only my opinion based on experience. Simply put - keep it all together and by the end of February I'd be pleased to offer a nomination, if you were so inclined to accept. Pedro :  Chat  15:55, 1 February 2008 (UTC)

Hey it’s me, 71.120.133.171 :

Umm I have no idea what I possibly did wrong on the Cloverfield discussion page, all I saw was Sorry. Whatever you did wrong, if anything, you are forgiven but if you can tell me what it was. To communicate with other users: 1) Go to their talk page... in my case it's User talk:Scarian and in your case it's User talk:71.120.133.171. You just click on the little 'plus sign' next to "edit this page" or just click "edit this page" and type whatever :-) - If you have any other questions please do not hesitate to contact me. Take care! :-) ScarianCall me Pat 22:45, 29 January 2008 (UTC)

Hey Pat, I just change my name on wikipedia, how do I get (If possible) my Information as 71.120.133.171.

I don't know, but if you want to know the new name it is.D.Mandalore (talk) 00:41, 30 January 2008 (UTC)

No! It was not.

Pat, as you wish to be called; the user whom you reverted the edits of in Kenny McCormick's article was not vandalizing. It is true, the character's father is an alcoholic, and his family is poor because of this. I don't know if you've ever watched South Park or not, but the user certainly didn't commit vandalism.

Another word of advice before I take off: when notifying these sorts of users of their edits, if you think they committed vandalism, it's best not to leave a link to the article in question on their talkpage, as that will leave them with easy access to vandalize the same article again. Just a friendly tip!!! Wilhelmina Will (talk) 22:47, 29 January 2008 (UTC)

Will do! But I am a little too busy in other parts to pay much attention to adding content in SP articles. I usually just check up on how they are coming along now and then. I was the one who removed most of the fluff and fancruft from that particular article, and I like to see how well the other users - especially IP addresses - are doing with adding in useful and encyclopedic information on these such cartoon characters. Wilhelmina Will (talk) 23:00, 29 January 2008 (UTC)

Once again, will do!!! Wilhelmina Will (talk) 23:08, 29 January 2008 (UTC)

From 163.1.181.208

I'm sorry if my revert looked like vandalism. It wasn't meant that way. I really do think "extant" is better word at this point in the article (although I accept it's not one many people know). See definition 4 here: [1] "existant" (the word I reverted) doesn't bring up any hits in the same dictionary.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot (talk) 23:33, 29 January 2008 (UTC)

Hello

I know you don't like to get personally involved in these issues but it seems User:Funeral, who I know you have had some contact with in the past, has decided to go against the genre delimiter armistice. I messaged him and I sincerely hope he will change his mind, but I thought you might want to say something to him if he doesn't. I know you don't like to be involved in these things and I know you may very well decide to do nothing, but I hope you do not choose that path because if we go down this road again the armistice may break and all hell will break loose in the genre delimiter war (again). I believe it is important we uphold the armistice and keep the peace. Thank you. Blizzard Beast $ODIN$ 00:13, 30 January 2008 (UTC)

Health Problems

Hi Scarian - thanks for the note - my arm is a lot better (not quite fully healed but almost back to normal) but then I went and broke my finger on 4 January - so I'm currently typing with 9 fingers. (On the bright side a broken finger is nowhere as painful or inconvenient as a broken arm). Kelpin (talk) 13:06, 30 January 2008 (UTC)

Thank you

But have you, incidentally, ever noticed this template? {{uw-legal}}. Great stuff (hint;-)) Greswik (talk) 19:49, 30 January 2008 (UTC)

Grok the Tao of Wiki Grasshopper

The one opposing vote said he couldn't see an editor that groks the Tao of Wiki. Aim for the Grok. Grasp it. Flaunt it. The picture on your user page is flawed in that the "actually useful stuff" portion is too big and the crappy MySpace bands portion os too small. :D . I QUIT!

OK... Im' back in again. :D 156.34.217.154 (talk) 20:30, 30 January 2008 (UTC)

User:Kelly Martin has always been bold... to a point. Did you happen to catch her latest RfA a while back? - Also, as a side note: I have no idea how one "grasps the grok of the tao of wiki"... and I have no idea what those words mean (not even "wiki" - what the hell is that? :-D) and I have no idea how to pronounce them... :-P ScarianCall me Pat 21:15, 30 January 2008 (UTC)
I believe Kelly Martin (either knowingly or not) was talking in speech derived from Stranger in a Strange Land, a very fine piece of work by the much missed Mr Heinlein, my reply continued in such language btw. "to grok" is "to know" on a deep level - to understand, appreciate, see as is etc.--Alf melmac 16:26, 31 January 2008 (UTC)
For your future ref and, possibly, assistance. Watch "Master"-IP 74.77.222.188... "le chaussette un"-Clashwho... est "le chaussette deux"-CHawke. The "master" is 4RR(reported) on the LZ page awaiting punishment. Should either chaussette suddenly appear into that article... an "SSP" is happening. I can compile (easy pickin's) if you can make the plug? Now... take a break and go have a coal :D. 156.34.142.110 (talk) 16:09, 31 January 2008 (UTC)

Thanks Pat. And thanks Alf. Never mention book titles around someone in a library. Now I'll be grabbin' "Bob" off the shelf, loadin' Iron Maiden songs onto the Pod, and hidin' in an empty lecture room for the rest of the work day. 156.34.142.110 (talk) 17:02, 31 January 2008 (UTC)

Pat or Alf... I "engvar'd" up the King Crimson lead-in.(rest of the article probably needs a go over) But, as a Canuck, my "engvar" leans towards the bastardised "stuck next door to y'know who" "eng". Can someone of UK "eng" origins please copy-edit my "in less than 5 seconds" engvar'ing. 156.34.142.110 (talk) 17:14, 31 January 2008 (UTC)
I'll do it! I haven't got anything to do until unconsciousness takes over... I'll whisk through the whole article. ScarianCall me Pat 17:19, 31 January 2008 (UTC)
The changes you made read over fine. I havn't checked all the article for consistency, but nothing 'jumps out' at me. Five seconds? goes to get Superman costume, remembers he's at work and puts the kettle on instead That's a tall order :) --Alf melmac 17:22, 31 January 2008 (UTC)

Rothes entry

I see that you reverted some odd edits on Rothes, and then un-reverted them back. I think those edits you first reverted look at best unencyclopedic and at worst are possibly bogus. Before I re-revert, I was wondering what caused you to reconsider and un-revert? The editors (at least one other is Special:Contributions/88.207.223.9) have other similar edits elsewhere. Thanks, Mlouns (talk) 20:41, 30 January 2008 (UTC)

Good call. I actually used the rollback, which, of course, is used for only vandalism. And it didn't look like vandalism at a second glance so I reverted. But I've restored the version now as, on closer inspection, it looks to be copyvio from somewhere. Thanks for pointing that out to me! Take care, ScarianCall me Pat 20:44, 30 January 2008 (UTC)

Excuse Me!

I hate to disappoint you, but those "warnings" you gave me are ridiculous. I haven't edited "Oakwood Theme Park" or whatever it was. Someone is undoing your WP:ENGVAR do on the Asia article. Also sales are hard to nail down outside the US and UK. I just stumbled across one of the Wiki music project pages a few days ago that had some semi-helpful links as far as sales go. Worldwide sales are always in question because no true source exists. Usually the only way to get a decent citation there is to catch it in a news article. Sometimes there are news clips that puff up the artist. Surely one exists for Oasis. I can look around. What specifically are you looking for? 156.34.213.34 (talk) 18:59, 3 February 2008 (UTC)
I see on the RIAA searchable database that "Shoulders" has never achieved gold/platinum status in the US. But thats just the US. And... on a quick browse... it isn't the only Oasis album not to get a notable sales award. I will keep looking. 156.34.213.34 (talk) 19:20, 3 February 2008 (UTC)

You don't seem to understand

When you commented on my issues with Funeral you said: "I'm sure Libsey and Funners will stop changing the de-limiters immediately if you start being a lot more polite Navnlos and stop changing them too." Which is not true. I have not been changing any delimiters. I have been following the armistice and have only been changing them back to what they were at the time of the armistice if a user has changed them. However, Funeral and at times IP man (Libsey?) have been going around changing genre delimiters to what they think "looks better" which is going against the armistice and bringing up the whole issue again. You don't have to respond as you have already said you are tired of this issue. I'm just telling you the facts. Blizzard Beast $ODIN$ 23:46, 4 February 2008 (UTC)

Changing them back still counts as changing them, buddy! ScarianCall me Pat 10:29, 5 February 2008 (UTC)
