Greetings!
Yo. Is Twsx not gonna get in any trouble? That'[s what it's lookin' like. If that's the case then I'm gonna go and change those pages to their correct format when the armistice took place. Blizzard Beast $ODIN$ 20:25, 18 December 2007 (UTC)
- I have no idea. You should contact an admin if you believe that Twsx should "get into trouble". ScarianTalk 20:41, 18 December 2007 (UTC)
- Well it seems I'm not getting anywhere with tha crap, unfortunately. Wikipedia has a lot of ineffective things/ policies/ etc. I reported him (twice) to ANI with no results. I just want the same punitive efforts upon him that I had to go through when I was blocked for edit warring on Iron Maiden and Megadeth. I mean, Twsx is worse than me in that area! I warred for a day or so on those pages. He's been warring for months on those 2 pages and no one wants to do a thing!!! Maybe it's because they look at my record when I report him. Perhaps if I had someone else to help and confirm what I said, like yourself...but I don't expect you to get involved. Nothing is going to be done it seems so I'll have to revert those pages. I damn well better not get in trouble for it, either. I mean you even warned the next person to war was in for some trouble!!! And who ignored this and went against your excplicit instructions!?!? NOT I!...Twsx started this war and I hope that's remembered. I don't excuse what I did in the past. It was wrong and I experienced the punishment. I was wrong, but this time it's Twsx who is... Blizzard Beast $ODIN$ 20:48, 18 December 2007 (UTC)
It's done. I'm willing to bet Twsx is going to start a major edit war now. Be ready for a massive amount of edits to pages within a short period of time by him. I couldn't wait anymore when ANI won't help or do anything. Blizzard Beast $ODIN$ 21:06, 18 December 2007 (UTC)
- Rather than taking it to ANI, why don't you go straight to an online admin? You're right, I shan't get involved, it doesn't interest me in the slightest :-) ScarianTalk 21:11, 18 December 2007 (UTC)
Because it doesn't look like anyone wants to do anything about it. They would probably look at my history and see that I have been blocked twice and all that. Twsx is no angel on wikipedia, either, but, admittedly his record is cleaner than mine. It's like a known thief (reformed) going to the polic station and reporting some person who has no record of stealing. Evevn if I'm reformed they won't view it as such I'm willing to believe. Blizzard Beast $ODIN$ 21:15, 18 December 2007 (UTC)
- No, you've got it wrong. Admins would look at every case in good faith. They're not going to ignore the problem just because you've been blocked a couple of times. That's paranoia. Any admin would deal with it fairly. Give it a shot. What have you got to lose? [I'm stating here that I'm not saying that you should or shouldn't. Merely giving neutral advice, ja?] ScarianTalk 21:37, 18 December 2007 (UTC)
- I'll give it a go at some point, I guess...What admin should I use? Any? Blizzard Beast $ODIN$ 21:43, 18 December 2007 (UTC)
- Just pick any - but be careful when you explain the "story" to them. If you sound incredibly biased (i.e. "it's all his fault!") they're going to take less notice of you. Just go to WP:AIV and look at the history, it has admins there in the history who have recently blocked users. Hope that helps. ScarianTalk 21:48, 18 December 2007 (UTC)
- I'll give it a go at some point, I guess...What admin should I use? Any? Blizzard Beast $ODIN$ 21:43, 18 December 2007 (UTC)
- Yeah, it does. Thanks. Blizzard Beast $ODIN$ 21:51, 18 December 2007 (UTC)
Btw, I didn't take it to an adminstrator yet, but I will when Twsx changes those pages as he inevitably will eventually. However, if I'm wrong and he doesn't, I'll apologize for it now. I hope I'm wrong. Blizzard Beast $ODIN$ 20:25, 20 December 2007 (UTC)

Wolfgang Dziony can go too. All are minor minor minor minor players in the band's history (look at the list of Iron Maiden band members for a similar example of "re-direct the bit-players") 156.34.222.133 (talk) 22:35, 18 December 2007 (UTC)

Editor Review
About your comment on my editor review. You were right. I should try to AGF. I also shouldn't treat IP addresses like they din't know what they are doing. I have realised that they are an experienced editor and I won't look at IP users like that anymore. (respond on my talk page). ThundermasterTRUC 09:45, 20 December 2007 (UTC)
"Both"
You did have some minor involvement in the discussion. Both making a comment and removing one of his comments. Certainly not a full fledged participant, but not invisible either. Since you'd also made a comment on his talk page and posted on AN/I feeling a bit exasperated in dealing with him, that's the only reason I made that suggestion.--Crossmr (talk) 14:21, 20 December 2007 (UTC)

Nah, that's cool. For some reason, I just instinctively think of them just "hanging out". (I didn't even realize I'd written it that way until I got your note.) -- ChrisB (talk) 19:52, 20 December 2007 (UTC)
Thank you for your participation in my RfA. It was definitely a dramatic debate that landed on WP:100, but ultimately was deemed a successful declaration of consensus, and I am now an administrator. I paid close attention to everything that was said in the debate, and where possible, I will try to incorporate the (constructive) criticism towards being a better administrator. I am going to take things slowly for now -- I'm working my way through the Wikipedia:New admin school, double-checking the relevant policies, and will gradually phase into the use of the new tools. I sincerely doubt you'll see anything controversial coming from my new access level. My main goals are to help out with various backlogs, though I also fully intend to keep on writing articles, as there are a few more that I definitely want to get to WP:FA status. If you do ever have any concerns about my activities as an administrator, I encourage you to let me know. My door is always open. --Elonka 02:17, 21 December 2007 (UTC)

Keep an eye on...
Did some cleanup, with references, to Keith Richards. "Mr Anonymous" (an anon who violates WP:OWN across several Rolling Stones related articles) doesn't care for the content and deletes it along with the citation. He is passionate about his Rolling Stones fanboyisms... but hasn't got 2 clues when it comes to 6 string details. His IP bounces (rotten anons :D )... but if you catch him can you rv and throw a warning at him. Eventually he'll stop and play by the rules. If you have a moment... Wiki needs a re-direct
Stumbled across this little useless gem Tom Morello's guitar technique ??? I can't imagine what dweeb shovelled that one together. There was a long forgotten discussion on the talk page to re-direct back to the main Tom Morello page since it already contains a Guitar technique section. But it was abandoned an no one ever cleaned up the junk. It's bloated and unref'd. THere's nothing to merge that isn't already in the guitarist's article. It just needs to be washed away. Could you follow up if you have a spare minute. And do it quietly :D I was up til 2 AM playing MarioKart DS... and sipping copious amounts of Fireball from good ol' Dr. McGillicuddy... so... shhhhhh :D Cheerio! 156.34.215.179 (talk) 11:37, 27 December 2007 (UTC)

About the accents
Am am new to editing in Wikipedia. A what to correct a mistake in the article Straža (Vršac). I don't understand why are you blocking the change and cataloging it as vandalism. In romanian the name of the village is writen Straja and not Strajǎ. For reference see the article Straja. Kristianisak (talk) 01:12, 30 December 2007 (UTC)

Elegant Variation
Hi Scarian, I undid one of your minor edits, and (as you suspected) this was to make a point: the counterpoint to your claim that word repetition in the same sentence is poor English. Although that is true, it has long been held that simply changing the repeated word to a synonym (in this case 'energy' for 'force') is even worse. For discussion of this, please see: Elegant variation. I wasn't really objecting to the new phrase ("The Force is an energy") but to the comment in your edit that this is "better English" than "The Force is a Force"; it's more complicated than that. However, "The Force is an Energy" is more readable, and if you were to revert to that phrase with a message about "improved readability" I'd have no concerns. I hope this doesn't all seem too pedantic, and happy New Year - --Wragge (talk) 17:22, 30 December 2007 (UTC)
So what does 3 mean? :D
Is that 3 out of 10? or 5?. I suspect it's because the edit summary contains the {}'s. Either which way. RattleandHum never plays by anyones rules and 95% of her/his music related edits have to be rv'd for hitting high on the stupidity factor. The odd one passes though so it just means they all have to be dbl-chkd.
And... BTW...

- I did report that "threat" to an admin. Even though it's likely nonsense, I have the impression that it's better to turn such stuff in anyway, just to be sure, and to be a detergent to crime (as Archie Bunker said).
- "Call me Pat" reminds me of a line from "The Orange And The Green", by the Irish Rovers: "I was christened David Anthony / But still, in spite of that / To me father I was William / While me mother called me Pat." Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? 01:23, 1 January 2008 (UTC)

Look at this...
It's been a long time since I've had a user page but... can they be used for self promotion and advertising now? Check out User:Guitarguy73. It looks like free advertising to me. 156.34.239.197 (talk) 09:15, 2 January 2008 (UTC)
- I contacted an admin on IRC about it. He said it's borderline as he doesn't actually mention his name. But the request for "feedback" is the most incriminating part of it. It could go either way... if he adds his name or any way of listening to his music that's when it becomes pure advertising... it's a shame there are quite lenient rules about userpages! :-/ ScarianCall me Pat 14:18, 2 January 2008 (UTC)
Ref desk question
Sorry about my responding to your answer for the ref desk Q- just gets frustrating as a lot of helpdesk questions are batted away by the 'legal' advice reasoning and really very rarely is the individual asking legal-advice, they are just looking for help finding information that is readily available online. Sorry if my response came across as rude, didn't mean it at you, more a general frustration at enforcing rules too strongly. Cheers, Paul ny156uk (talk) 17:56, 2 January 2008 (UTC)

Hi Scarian: While the question you removed from the Ref Desk may well be from someone wanting a soapbox, he/she does mention a phenomenon that I have also noticed a whole other country away in Toronto, Canada and in Vancouver, Canada. The speculation as to why this might be, and I have my own views that I would not put on the Ref Desk, is likely to be, shall we say, unhelpful? It is possible, however, that this was a real question. Bielle (talk) 23:45, 2 January 2008 (UTC)

In the future, it's very helpful to bring up previous AfDs when nominating articles for deletion. matt91486 (talk) 19:30, 4 January 2008 (UTC)
- Sighs... Buddy it was under a different name then... "Aquaria" and now it's "Aquaria (band)" - unless I dig deep into the AfD archives I wouldn't have known. Thanks. ScarianCall me Pat 19:33, 4 January 2008 (UTC)
- Yeah, I understand. That's really one of those things that should be moved over when the article is moved, I think, but I wouldn't even know how to go about doing that. I'll make a note on the articles talk page for future reference. I'm not sure how I stumbled across it myself. I've never actually nominated anything for deletion through the AfD process, so I'm not sure how easy it is to notice things like that. Anyway, it got found, and that's the important thing. No hard feelings. matt91486 (talk) 19:51, 4 January 2008 (UTC)
Sorry, I don't think it can be speedily kept because there was a strong delete vote from someone other than the nominator. It seems like a keep consensus for now but unless that person changes their vote, it should be held open the normal amount of time. Rigadoun (talk) 20:01, 4 January 2008 (UTC)
The trouble with Chubbles
I fail to see how a reliable resource can be built on nn articles and list subjects. I rm'd a bunch on nn entries from the List of Christian rock bands and Chubbles put them back?
Are you reading the convo on Funeral's talk page? Are you up for ganging up on the List of harmonicists page and deleting all the spam links and nn's? 156.34.212.152 (talk) 14:36, 5 January 2008 (UTC)
- I know you are shell-shocked from yesterdays AfD troubles. But... can you take the time to review something for me? While cleaning the harmonica player list I found Mike Tetrault. "Although he has not played on any albums he appears on a lot of bootlegs"???? What's up with that? Can you read it over and give me your take on it. It might be one to help make you "feel good" again :D 156.34.212.152 (talk) 15:22, 5 January 2008 (UTC)

Just so you know, I responded. Acalamari 19:43, 5 January 2008 (UTC)
Have you...
Have you recovered from your Wiki-disappointments yet? I've done well this weekend and only had about 50. I did manage to re-direct about a dozen useless pages today without any anti-anon bias tripping up my good work. So I felt good about that. Funeral had a couple of band list AfD's that are actually working. I have mixed feelings over it. The lists are "Christian" lists and people are falling over themselves to delete them. Where were these dweebs when the other useless lists were nominated? It unfortunately looks more like anti-Christian voting as opposed to Wiki-improvement voting. Which is a shame. One editor voted delete just because he couldn't get his own way over adding nn entries to the lists. Which is childish "take my toys and go home" playground editing as opposed to "let's make an encyclopedia" edit. I tagged 7 nobody subjects for Speedy D and only 2 got turned down. After which the "turner-downer" nom'd the page for AfD... which should be OK. All the children will be returning from Christmas break tomorrow which means the vandalism will jump off the scale for the next few days. Nav the Impaler should be back in class this week. Wonder what 2008 will bring for Wikipedia? It's been a quiet "week 1" because of school holidays. Now let the fun begin :D . Have a nice day! 156.34.212.152 (talk) 02:55, 7 January 2008 (UTC)
I could've retired
This and This bloated my inner Wiki-ego so much I could've retired knowing those were my final 2 edits. This was a decent runner up. I know, I know... don't feed the trolls :D . I was only around in bits n pieces today. Was the Wiki-Defcon level high on the first day back at school? 156.34.210.254 (talk) 00:09, 8 January 2008 (UTC)
- Maybe Nav got expelled for making a pass at his gym teacher? :D 156.34.142.110 (talk) 20:38, 8 January 2008 (UTC)
Notable?
Avenger (British band) and Avenger UK... same band... not too much helping them in the fame department. Yes, no, maybe? 156.34.142.110 (talk) 18:36, 9 January 2008 (UTC)
- At the very least it's a re-direct job... otherwise, I'd speedy or PROD. ScarianCall me Pat 18:41, 9 January 2008 (UTC)
Thanks!
Someone vandalized my Userspace! But a little angel came along and fixed it! Thank you! You can thank others by using {{subst:Vangel}}! Tiptoety talk 00:32, 10 January 2008 (UTC)
Non-admin rollback ?
Is that something you have to ask for? Or be nom'd/co-nom'd for? Or write a test?
Can I have it?
I am probably better at reverting vandalism then 75% of the administrators Wiki has. It is likely that anti-anon bias and predjudice will prevent someone like me from being given any kind of vandal hunting tools. I would love for an admin to have a big enough set of balls to stick the popup script on my static IP page. But I just bet there isn't an admin with balls big enough to that for me. Nope... no admins with even a hint of nut that will help a vandal hunter like me out psssst... are any of them listening yet :D :D 156.34.210.254 (talk) 01:54, 10 January 2008 (UTC)
- There's been some discussion over being listed for "rollback", however Twinkle seems to be suitable, does Libs wish for that - if so please read the page carefully (for things like it NOT WORKING in Internet Exploder).--Alf melmac 10:55, 10 January 2008 (UTC)
- I would love to have either or both Popups and Twinkle... whoever, to have them, one needs to be able to add the script to their own monobook page. And, by Wiki's own rules... and rightfully so... an anon can't edit their monobook page. And my good friend Wiki libs can't edit my monobook page for me. BUT... if I had proven myself worthy as a noble and true Vandal hunter and I think that I have 100 times over.. NO... 49000 times over :D then an admin could add those scripts to my Static IP page. (obviously when I am walking around with a laptop and editing via any local wireless hub the tools would not be available to me) I've done without them up to now... so I am more then able at "the long way"... but if an admin were to add those script(s) to my Static page I would be most humbly appreciative, honoured and in great wiki-servitude. But giving an IP! ... an anon! ... such precious tools... is really stretching the upppermost limits of AGF on Wikipedia. And it would take an admin with a big pair of arnolds to risk their AGF'ing that much... which could result in their adminship being put at risk just over their AGF of a lowly anon IP... And I don't want anyone to compromise their toolbox just to give me some speedy tools to help me fight vandalism. As most anyone can see... I am a crack editor at doing that without any tools what-so-ever. I know, I know... just add those scripts to Wiki libs monobook page and use the account :D. W_libs is only there to give me email access and I have permanently retired my "Mr. ______" user account(it had all kinds of anti-vandal tools). I have chosen the anon path... so I will just have to live with the consequences of my decision. And I'm cool with that. Obviously... I've been editing this way for almost 2 years :D . 156.34.210.254 (talk) 11:26, 10 January 2008 (UTC)
Alf's gift didn't work. The scripts are anti-anon biased. They all worked for that a**hole Wiki libs though. But he's a deadbeat and won't use 'em :D . have a nice day! 156.34.142.110 (talk) 19:11, 10 January 2008 (UTC)
A revert needed
Josh Vandalboy]'s Hendrix edit needs an rvv. It's a prot so I can't touch it. 156.34.142.110 (talk) 20:43, 10 January 2008 (UTC)
One more to end the day...
The band Rusty Eye has 90% of its edits from a user named... guess what?... Rusty Eye. I smell COI. The band has enough label, publication links (incl an AMG link) so I don't see NN there (maybe you might see something I don't) But I think they are fluffed up by someone in their camp. 156.34.142.110 (talk) 21:07, 10 January 2008 (UTC)
- I've put a COI warning on the discussion page. I'm pretty tired tonight and I need a bath so I'll check it tomorrow morning to clean through it. Have a nice night, Libsey! ScarianCall me Pat 21:12, 10 January 2008 (UTC)
An anti-anon
Keep an eye on this guy would ya? Removing well placed maintenance tags without reason because they were placed by a scummy IP and therefore they are spam. 156.34.210.254 (talk) 13:37, 12 January 2008 (UTC)
Prose Insult Fetish
I see that you can log in when you feel like it. Going around to pages and leaving insulting comments about the prose and article being written by a 10 year old etc is not in Wikipedias best interests as far as I can see. Also seeing that you have a prose fetish why don't you fix the prose on these pages yourself.

Well who is 156.34x I.P and should he/she be dropping insults and copy edit tags on unsuspecting pages.

Well with users like you and him/her throwing insults and warnings around, Wikipedia should be notified about your behaviour.
