A tag has been placed on Template:MCO Intermodal APM requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section T3 of the criteria for speedy deletion because it is an unused duplicate of another template, or a hard-coded instance of another template. After seven days, if it is still unused and the speedy deletion tag has not been removed, the template will be deleted.

If the template is not actually the same as the other template noted, please consider putting a note on the template's page explaining how this one is different so as to avoid any future mistakes (<noinclude>{{substituted}}</noinclude>).

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here.

I added the info from this template to the MCO Airside APM template and renamed it Template:Orlando International Airport. The MCO Intermodal APM template is therefore no longer needed. Jackdude101 talk cont 18:54, 7 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give a page a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into Carolina Central Railroad. This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases for registered users, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Requests for history merge. Thank you. Removing content from

[edit]

You have been removing content from List of county roads in Lee County, Florida‎ as you create new county road articles. This has the effect that if a reader goes to that list, they will never know that certain roadways are county roads in Lee County. Since that page is what we've called a "listicle" that has mini-articles on each road, and since Wikipedia uses summary style, it would actually be best for you not to remove those sections at all. Instead, you should be adding a {{main}} linking to the article at the top of the section and leaving each behind as a summary of the new article.

That, or you should convert the existing list page into a true listing with a lead and a table listing each county road in the county, like List of county-designated highways in Michigan and the like.

Lastly, county roads are marginally notable for Wikipedia purposes as a class, and they are not included in the WP:GEOROAD notability guideline. Some individual ones are, like H-58 (Michigan county highway) or Brockway Mountain Drive. But unless a county road passes WP:GNG, it should not have a separate article. I've been cleaning up formatting issues on several recent creations, and I'm not always sure they do, like Corkscrew Road. However, that content would be welcome on the AARoads Wiki. The notability paradigm is a bit different there, and articles on major county roads are welcome. Most of the content on that wiki originated on Wikipedia, although we do have some unique articles started. Imzadi 1979  04:23, 20 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Inclusion of county roads in existing state roads

[edit]

I appreciate the additions but the articles have always been about the state roads. Talking about the previous segments that were state roads is fine but anything that is existing county roads seems unnecessary to note. You have any thoughts on a compromise? – The Grid (talk) 19:18, 23 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Okay. I've seen a number of Florida State Road articles that include their county portion and was just going for consistency. One example is Florida State Road 823 (which I have not contributed too). If you feel the route description of the county portion should be removed, go ahead. Though I did add some info to the history section that may still be relevant. I am also in the process of updating the List of county roads in Sarasota County, Florida to RCS style to match Charlotte County, so maybe the county road info can go there? Let me know your thoughts. Sanibel sun (talk) 14:29, 24 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
