Welcome!

[edit]

Hello, Sam navera, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of the pages you created, such as The Loner: A Collection of Songs, may not conform to some of Wikipedia's guidelines, and may not be retained.

There's a page about creating articles you may want to read called Your first article. If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the New contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{helpme}} on this page, followed by your question, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few other good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Questions or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome! Andy Dingley (talk) 10:02, 4 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The article The Loner: A Collection of Songs has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

From WP:NMUSIC "Unreleased material is only notable if it has significant independent coverage in reliable sources."

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that you've added some links pointing to disambiguation pages. Redundant templates

[edit]

Why do we need both {{Idea (album)}} and {{Idea tracks}}? They serve the same exact navigational purpose on the same exact articles. I have nominated for deletion at Wikipedia:Templates for discussion/Log/2012_November_4#Idea (album). I will probably do the same thing with the templates you made for Horizontal (album) as well. --StarcheerspeaksnewslostwarsTalk to me 23:34, 4 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

WikiProject Bee Gees

[edit]

There really should be a Bees Gees WikiProject before creating a category for Category:WikiProject Bee Gees templates. I have nominated the category for deletion and the discussion can be found here. --StarcheerspeaksnewslostwarsTalk to me 17:44, 5 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

This is an automated message from MadmanBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Walking on Air (Bee Gees song), and it appears to include material copied directly from http://www.songfacts.com/detail.php?id=18125.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.

If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material. You may use such publications as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details. Deletion discussion about Then You Left Me

[edit]

Hello, Sam navera,

I wanted to let you know that there's a discussion about whether Then You Left Me should be deleted. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Then You Left Me .

If you're new to the process, articles for deletion is a group discussion (not a vote!) that usually lasts seven days. If you need it, there is a guide on how to contribute. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.

Thanks, -MJH (talk) 23:48, 15 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Holiday (EP), requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done for the following reason:

entirely non-notable record.

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not meet basic Wikipedia criteria may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. TheLongTone (talk) 14:25, 22 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Peter Mason (musician) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.
