- Don't be afraid to edit! Just find something that can be improved and make it better. Other editors will help fix any mistakes you make.
- It's normal to feel a little overwhelmed, but don't worry if you don't understand everything at first—it's fine to edit using common sense.
- If an edit you make is reverted, you can discuss the issue at the article's talk page. Be civil, and don't restore the edit unless there is consensus.
- Always use edit summaries to explain your changes.
- When adding new content to an article, always include a citation to a reliable source.
- If you wish to edit about a subject with which you are affiliated, read our conflict of interest guide and disclose your connection.
- Have fun! Your presence in the Wikipedia community is welcome.
Happy editing! Cheers, JarrahTree 11:10, 16 January 2024 (UTC)

- @JarrahTree how can I publish my own article. Sakshi gilada (talk) 11:08, 16 January 2024 (UTC)
- The extra welcome message has information that you should review before thinking about it - a slow process maybe, but worth the effort to go through the introductory issues. JarrahTree 11:12, 16 January 2024 (UTC)

[edit]Please do not add promotional material to Wikipedia, as you did to BBG. While objective prose about beliefs, organisations, people, products or services is acceptable, Wikipedia is not a vehicle for soapboxing, advertising or promotion. Thank you. cogsan (nag me) (stalk me) 13:28, 19 January 2024 (UTC)
- incidentally, ignoring how promotional the edit was, please take a look at the manual of style for things like formatting, wording, inline sourcing, and capitalization (among others), and then double check your writing for things like grammar, double spaces, and words just not making much sense
- the following line from that edit contains most of the aforementioned types of mistakes. note that the double space is in "a target"
In line with this, it has crafted a target of ensuring a million Indians own a plot of land and empower two million daughter’s (girl child) through good education by 2040.
cogsan (nag me) (stalk me) 13:41, 19 January 2024 (UTC)- @Cogsan can we repost it after excluding that point? Sakshi gilada (talk) 08:58, 25 January 2024 (UTC)
- can i publish this article if i remove that line? Sakshi gilada (talk) 05:19, 9 February 2024 (UTC)
- considering that the entire article was heavily promotional in nature, and that that line was just an example, the answer a reviewer will give if you submit it as a draft will probably be "no"
- also, who is this "we"? cogsan (nag me) (stalk me) 10:50, 9 February 2024 (UTC)
Please do not add commentary, your own point of view, or your own personal analysis to Wikipedia articles, as you did to Korean drama. Doing so violates Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy and breaches the formal tone expected in an encyclopedia. Thank you. Squeakachu (talk) 06:13, 25 January 2024 (UTC)
- @Squeakachu it is not just our personal analysis but it is also published in the article. advantages and disadvantages of Korean drama Sakshi gilada (talk) 08:59, 25 January 2024 (UTC)
Please stop. If you continue to violate Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy by adding commentary and your personal analysis into articles, as you did at West End of London, you may be blocked from editing. Synorem (talk) 06:20, 25 January 2024 (UTC)
You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you disrupt Wikipedia, as you did at Résumé. I recommend you cease editting for now and take a moment to review Wikipedia's editing policy, especially on what is and isn't considered constructive. Synorem (talk) 06:40, 25 January 2024 (UTC)
- @Synorem can you share the link to the editing policy? Sakshi gilada (talk) 08:14, 25 January 2024 (UTC)
- @Synorem can I know where I am going wrong? because everything I post is available on Google, it can be reverified. Sakshi gilada (talk) 09:01, 25 January 2024 (UTC)
- To begin with, you listed the edit as a minor edit, which is reserved for small edits such as fixes to spelling, punctuation and grammar. Secondly, your sentence does not make clear sense in English, and therefore does not contribute anything to the article - thus making a non-constructive edit. I understand you may have good intentions with your edits, however with what Cogsan has said, it is best you double check these things, or even draft them before publishing your edits so that others can read the information with ease. Synorem (talk) 09:28, 25 January 2024 (UTC)
- Okay so the changes I made are not minor changes but the major changes, is what you mean Sakshi gilada (talk) 09:33, 25 January 2024 (UTC)
- Well they were not major, they just didn't fit the criteria for a minor edit. Synorem (talk) 09:38, 25 January 2024 (UTC)
- Ohh, okay. Sakshi gilada (talk) 15:59, 25 January 2024 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of User:Sakshi gilada/sandbox
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on User:Sakshi gilada/sandbox, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Managing a conflict-of-interest
[edit]Hello Sakshi gilada. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.
Paid advocates are strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.
Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Sakshi gilada. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Sakshi gilada|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}
. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message.
''Flux55'' (talk) 05:10, 9 February 2024 (UTC)
- can you mention the reason? Sakshi gilada (talk) 07:17, 9 February 2024 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of User:Sakshi gilada/sandbox
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on User:Sakshi gilada/sandbox, requesting that it be deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under two or more of the criteria for speedy deletion, by which pages can be deleted at any time, without discussion. If the page meets any of these strictly defined criteria, then it may soon be deleted by an administrator. The reasons it has been tagged are:
- It seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. (See section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.
- It appears to consist of writings, information, discussions, and/or activities not closely related to Wikipedia's goals. Please note that Wikipedia is not a free Web hosting service. (See section U5 of the criteria for speedy deletion.)
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. [edit] As previously advised, your edits give the impression you have a financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. You were asked to cease editing until you responded by either stating that you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits, or by complying with the mandatory requirements under the Wikimedia Terms of Use that you disclose your employer, client and affiliation. Again, you can post such a disclosure on your user page at User:Sakshi gilada, and the template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Sakshi gilada|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}

- how can i start editing Sakshi gilada (talk) 10:19, 28 March 2024 (UTC)
Your account has been blocked indefinitely for advertising or promotion and violating the Wikimedia Foundation's Terms of Use. This is because you have been making promotional edits to topics in which you have a financial stake, yet you have failed to adhere to the mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a form of conflict of interest (COI) editing which involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is strictly prohibited. Using this site for advertising or promotion is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia.
If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, please read our guide to appealing blocks to understand more about unblock requests, and then add the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}
at the end of your user talk page. For that request to be considered, you must:
- Confirm that you have read and understand the Terms of Use and paid editing disclosure requirements.
- State clearly how you are being compensated for your edits, and describe any affiliation or conflict of interest you might have with the subjects you have written about.
- Describe how you intend to edit such topics in the future.
As you have been repeatedly told that you need to make the paid editing disclosure(and that employment is sufficient to trigger this requirement) and have not done so, I have blocked your account. 331dot (talk) 10:20, 28 March 2024 (UTC)
- Dear Sir / Madam,
- Respect to your mail I am writing my points of request
- We are BBG more than 3 decades old brand since 30 years there is no remark on our brand as you can see online.
- We BBG believe that wikipedia is the very professional platform were we can put our profile article if you people allow us its my humble request please allow us to be on wikipedia and dont mind if its paid.
- Regards
- BBG Sakshi gilada (talk) 10:33, 28 March 2024 (UTC)
- Declaring paid editing is not optional for you. You are gravely mistaken about Wikipedia's purpose. Wikipedia does not have "profiles", not a single one. If you want to write a profile, use your own website and social media. This is an encyclopedia of topics that meet our criteria, such as a notable business. It is not a place for businesses to tell the world about themselves. 331dot (talk) 11:51, 28 March 2024 (UTC)

Request reason:
i was unaware of this policy and previously i have mentioned the paid statement in my article even thought the article was rejected. I just wanted to share the program runned by the BBG team which is beneficial to girls and wanted to make the awareness of girl education through this medium.I am sorry for the violation of rules in Wikipedia. i will make sure it will not be repeated and i will take a proper guidelines regarding the articles along with rules and regulation.I am requesting you to unblock my account.Sakshi gilada (talk) 05:09, 12 April 2024 (UTC)
Decline reason:
This does not convince me you now understand what you were doing wrong, unlike just a few days ago where you clearly fundamentally misunderstood Wikipedia. I also don't see your paid editing disclosure. Yamla (talk) 10:10, 12 April 2024 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
I fixed your request for proper display- you had coding in place to prevent display. Someone will review your request. 331dot (talk) 07:24, 12 April 2024 (UTC)
