[edit]Hello, I'm Skylar130. I noticed that you recently removed content from Ruqsana Begum without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Ruqsana Begum. Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been or will be reverted.
- If you are engaged in an article content dispute with another editor, please discuss the matter with the editor at their talk page, or the article's talk page, and seek consensus with them. Alternatively, you can read Wikipedia's dispute resolution page, and ask for independent help at one of the relevant notice boards.
- If you are engaged in any other form of dispute that is not covered on the dispute resolution page, please seek assistance at Wikipedia's Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents.
Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive. Continued disruptive editing may result in loss of editing privileges. Thank you. Skylar130 (talk) 02:28, 1 January 2020 (UTC)
Discussion invitation
[edit]Hi Sajmeister1,
Welcome to Wikipedia. The other users who have reverted your edits and provided the warnings above are trying to help you and your client. It may not seem so, but it is worth appreciating their advice.
As a very first step, you seem to be required to provide a proper disclosure of your conflict of interest.
If you receive, or expect to receive, compensation for your contributions to Wikipedia, you must disclose who is paying you to edit (your "employer"), who the client is, and any other relevant role or relationship.
— Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure
Please click your red name to create your user page. It must contain the required information; see WP:PAID for details. See {{paid}} for examples.
I have technically fixed your attempt to create a deletion discussion. After you have created your user page, please open the deletion discussion, Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Ruqsana Begum, and provide good reasons, ideally based on notability criteria, the deletion policy or other policies, why the article should be deleted. Provide your comment at the very bottom of the discussion, and sign your message using four tildes ("~~~~
").
Please do not edit war in the article itself. If you do, your account likely will be blocked from editing. I will provide standardized advice about this in a clear warning below.
There are exemptions to the edit warring policy, such as:
Removing contentious material that is libelous, biased, unsourced, or poorly sourced according to our biographies of living persons (BLP) policy. What counts as exempt under BLP can be controversial. Consider reporting to the BLP noticeboard instead of relying on this exemption.
— Edit warring policy, section "Exemptions"
For example, if specific sentences are factually untrue, you may remove them without discussion. If you do so, please clearly mention this in your edit summary. Simply blanking the whole article might not be covered by the exception.

Avoiding an edit war
[edit]You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.
Points to note:
- Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
- Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.
If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. ~ ToBeFree (talk) 02:57, 1 January 2020 (UTC)
File permission problem with File:Loren Avedon's Official Image.jpeg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Loren Avedon's Official Image.jpeg, which you've attributed to Loren Avedon. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.
If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either
- make a note permitting reuse under the CC BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
- Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{permission pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.
If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.
If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. Here is a list of your uploads. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F11 of the criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. --Minorax«¦talk¦» 06:51, 23 December 2023 (UTC)
