Speedy deletion nomination of Peter Turner (civil servant)
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Peter Turner (civil servant) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think that your page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. AndrewWTaylor (talk) 13:11, 6 March 2013 (UTC)

Unblock request
[edit]SvanBueren (block log • active blocks • global blocks • contribs • deleted contribs • filter log • creation log • change block settings • unblock • checkuser (log))
Request reason:
I am trying to edit from Westminster Public Libraries, IP 82.1.219.198 . It is blocked due, apparently, to vandalism. This s nothing to do with me as I have never edited from here before. However, I would like to edit from here regularly as it is a good place for my researches. Please grant me the appropriate permission.
Accept reason:
I've gone ahead and granted you IP Block Exemption for 6 months. SQLQuery me! 01:34, 24 October 2019 (UTC)
The IP address is under a checkuser block, meaning that a checkuser must review this. One will come shortly. 331dot (talk) 20:53, 16 October 2019 (UTC)
- I see you haven't edited in the last 5 years. If you were able to edit, what sort of edits to what articles would you intend to make? SQLQuery me! 11:17, 18 October 2019 (UTC)
- I have very limited access to the Internet at present, which is why I am usng libraries. The Westminster library has a large collectin of books on cinema and theatre, so I would work in that area. Also, I can freely access various databases that are normally behind paywalls.--SvanBueren (talk) 12:04, 23 October 2019 (UTC)
IP block exempt
[edit]I have granted your account an exemption from IP blocking. This will allow you to edit the English Wikipedia through full blocks affecting your IP address when you are logged in.
Please read the page Wikipedia:IP block exemption carefully, especially the section on IP block exemption conditions. Inappropriate usage of this user right may result in revocation. I hope this will enhance your editing, and allow you to edit successfully and without disruption. SQLQuery me! 01:34, 24 October 2019 (UTC)
Greta Parkinson moved to draftspace
[edit]An article you recently created, Greta Parkinson, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Speedy deletion nomination of Phyllis Rappeport
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Phyllis Rappeport requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from https://obits.mlive.com/obituaries/kalamazoo/obituary.aspx?n=phyllis-rappeport&pid=195142939. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. buidhe 14:46, 7 February 2020 (UTC)
