Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive. Continual disruptive editing may result in loss of editing privileges.

Preview button

[edit]

Information icon Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. In the future, please use the preview button before you save your edit; this helps you find any errors you have made, reduces edit conflicts, and prevents clogging up recent changes and the page history. Below the edit box is a Show preview button. Pressing this will show you what the article will look like without actually saving it.

The "show preview" button is right next to the "save page" button and below the edit summary field.

It is strongly recommended that you use this before saving. If you have any questions, contact the help desk for assistance. Thank you. — kashmiri TALK 18:47, 16 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Mir Sayyid Ali Hamadani

[edit]

Hi, I removed your recent edits to Mir Sayyid Ali Hamadani.

First, I already pointed out to you several times that we avoid adding honorifics to people's names. Please read this article from Wikipedia's Manual of Style: WP:HONORIFICS.

Second, the UNICEF link does not state any facts about Hamadani and is not a reliable source for Wikipedia. Read this article: WP:RS.

Third, please use the "Preview" button and save the page once you finished editing, instead of saving the page every few minutes. This clutters the Page History list. You have already been asked for it, please comply.

You need to be aware that Wikipedia is a community project which has its rules, and you are required to play by them. Until now, nearly all your edits have been disruptive. Your account is on the verge of being blocked from editing because of your continuous breaching of the rules. Please take time to read Manual of Style and FAQ first so that you know how to contribute to Wikipedia in an acceptable way. — kashmiri TALK 06:54, 26 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I saw you were editing Mir Sayyid Ali Hamadani again--as before, the problem is that this is not proper English, or a proper citation. Until then, you are likely to find your edits reverted, and you may possibly find your account blocked: competence is required. Drmies (talk) 20:09, 28 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

  • For instance, I find it mind-boggling that after all these times you still manage to make such an obvious mistake as to misspell "Brill" as "BRill". Do you even look at what you post? And who is "Jeelani Allaie"? Not an editor for Brill, I'm sure. Drmies (talk) 00:31, 29 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • OK--You are this person, I have no doubt, and you are thus using Wikipedia to boost your own name, but you are doing this in a way that falsifies: you are not the editors of any of those books. Perhaps you are doing this out of a kind of ignorance, thinking that you have a right to put your name in article space since you are making an edit, but that is incorrect. If you do this again I will seek an indefinite block on the grounds of fraud and/or incompetence. You have been warned enough. Drmies (talk) 15:15, 29 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Stop icon You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you vandalize Wikipedia, as you did at Mir Sayyid Ali Hamadani. Removal of sourced information, incorrect English, etc. Lack of competence, continued disruption. Drmies (talk) 23:37, 29 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

ArbCom 2017 election voter message

[edit]

Hello, Said-Ul-Auliya. Voting in the 2017 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23.59 on Sunday, 10 December. All users who registered an account before Saturday, 28 October 2017, made at least 150 mainspace edits before Wednesday, 1 November 2017 and are not currently blocked are eligible to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2017 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 18:42, 3 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
