[edit]Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate your contributions; however, it appears you may have written a Wikipedia article, or a draft for a Wikipedia article, about yourself, at User:Sacha - Gay Brown/sandbox. Creating an autobiography is strongly discouraged – please see our guideline on writing autobiographies. If you create such an article, it may be deleted. If what you have done in life is genuinely notable and can be verified according to our policy for articles about living people, someone else will probably create an article about you sooner or later (see Wikipedians with articles). If you wish to add to or change an existing article about yourself, you are welcome to propose the changes by visiting the article's talk page. Please understand that this is an encyclopedia and not a personal web space or social networking site. If your article has already been deleted, please see: Why was the page I created deleted?, and if you feel the deletion was an error, please discuss this with the deleting administrator. Thank you. Sacha - Gay Brown/sandbox moved to draftspace
[edit]An article you recently created, Sacha - Gay Brown/sandbox, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. DoubleGrazing (talk) 14:00, 6 May 2022 (UTC)
- Hi, you shouldn't move this article into the main space, as it is your autobiography. Allow it to go through the AfC review process, and if it gets accepted, then it will be published by the accepting reviewer. In any case, as it stands it isn't ready for publication, for the reasons I highlighted when I declined it. (I'm also not yet convinced that it meets the notability requirement, but that's just my hunch as I haven't analysed the sources properly.) Thanks, -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 14:05, 6 May 2022 (UTC)
- Thanks for your comments and feedback.
- I accidentally submitted it as an autobiography but it is intended to be a player profile, I did not know there was a difference which is why I tried deleting it but it seemed I did something else, hence your ruling to delete the page,
- I was unclear about the issues you had with the references, the one's I included are the original sources for all the information mentioned on the page.
- The other comment about the education and personal info, there is absolutely no sources that can support what was written, the graduation list for the schools aren't public for example.
- I would really appreciate further clarification so when I try again I do not make these same mistakes.
- Thank you. Sacha - Gay Brown (talk) 03:46, 7 May 2022 (UTC)
- Firstly, when I said this is an autobiography, I meant that it is you writing about yourself, isn't it? You are the article subject, and you are the article author, correct? That's what makes it an autobiography. And for that reason, you should read carefully the autobiography guidance posted above, and understand why autobiographies are very, very strongly discouraged.
- As for referencing, if you cannot find a reliable published source to support a statement, you must remove it, as we cannot accept unreferenced information, especially about living people (see WP:BLP). Wikipedia is never the first to publish information, we only repeat what others have published already in reliable and independent sources. Anything you write in a Wikipedia article, you must be able to show where it came from, so that others can verify the information — this fundamental to the core principle of verifiability.

- I know the username may be deceiving, but I am not Sacha, I am a fan, therefore I am not writing about myself. So, it is not my own autobiography. I now understand why that was confusing.
- Can you please clarify regarding the references, the sources used were the original sources that delivered the information cited, I am confused as to why they are not deemed reliable or reputable. Sacha - Gay Brown (talk) 06:17, 7 May 2022 (UTC)
- If you're saying you're not the person who is the subject of this article, then why on earth did you choose to write under that user name? I need to report you for a user name violation, because IMO this is misleading, to put it mildly. -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 06:35, 7 May 2022 (UTC)
- As for the referencing issues, let me try once more to clarify:
- There is content which is not supported by direct inline citations, such as the personal and educational details. Whether that information comes from the sources cited or not, it is not clear which source they come from, because there are insufficient citations. Whichever source provides eg. the DOB, cite that immediately following the DOB; otherwise that fact remains unreferenced.
- However, you said earlier yourself that some information isn't available in any published source, hence my comment that you have to remove content that cannot be supported by referencing. You are now saying that "sources delivered the information cited", implying that everything is backed up by a source. These two claims seem contradictory.
- The quality of some of your sources isn't up to scratch: you cannot cite Wikipedia (English or Turkish) as a source. The citations must be correctly formatted; eg. you are websites as journals, without providing the journal title, which throws up a lot of errors (see all that red and green stuff? that shouldn't be there). And the sources seem to be mostly close and primary ones, which could be a problem if you are relying on them to establish this person's notability per WP:GNG. (Whether she is inherently notable because of her career achievements, I don't know, as I haven't yet looked into that.)
- Best, -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 06:48, 7 May 2022 (UTC)
- Thanks for the clarification.
- 1. I understand, cite immediately and not at the end of the statement.
- 2. I was not talking about the personal and educational info (those details are not in public domain, since it can't be supported, remove it; clear)
- What I was talking about is my other references, they were the original sources so I was confused as to why they weren't acceptable.
- 3. I understand it is that the reference list is missing key details, such as, title, dates, etc.
- I used the auto generator so I thought because they are missing it wasn't suppose to be included, as I have seen this on other articles.
- I completely understand your comments on references now, that you for clarifying. Sacha - Gay Brown (talk) 07:05, 7 May 2022 (UTC)
- Glad it's clear now. :)
- When a draft is declined at AfC because of a referencing problem, the system automatically issues a standard message
This submission is not adequately supported by reliable sources. Reliable sources are required so that information can be verified.
That doesn't necessarily tell you what the problem is, only that there is a problem. That's why I usually add more detail into the comment field, but that comment appears separately under the main AfC template, and may be sometimes missed by the author. In short, it can be a bit confusing at times. - Best, -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 07:12, 7 May 2022 (UTC)
- Thank you for your help.
- I'll delete this wiki account since it may be misleading, and maybe the real person may one day join wiki and I want no issues as I mean no harm.
- Again I appreciate your patience and help.

- Accounts cannot be deleted, but they can be renamed or abandoned. You may change the name of your account at Special:GlobalRenameRequest or WP:CHUS if you want to free up the name. 331dot (talk) 08:10, 7 May 2022 (UTC)
