Stone Ridge Technology

Stone Ridge Technology, abbreviated as SRT, is a US-based company, which develops and markets ECHELON, a high-performance petroleum reservoir simulator. The company is headquartered near Baltimore, Maryland with offices in Houston, an Italian subsidiary based in Milan and staff located internationally. SRT was the first company to develop a commercial reservoir simulator that uses NVIDIA GPUs for performance and the first company which designed and optimized reservoir simulation software from inception to use GPUs. The company has been a vocal leader in advocating the broader adoption of GPU computing for technical HPC in its own industry and beyond.

Company History Beginning as a consulting and services firm operating in high performance computing, SRT became known as a company with broad expertise in computational science, numerical algorithms and emerging accelerator technologies such as GPUs. In 2015 SRT pivoted to solely developing and marketing ECHELON. Since 2018 SRT has been developing ECHELON with Eni, S.p.a., the Italian energy leader.

ECHELON ECHELON is a high-performance petroleum reservoir simulator. It is able to simulate both black-oil and compositional models and has garnered a reputation for exceptional speed.

Paid editing?

Hello EmFox-2020. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements.
