Information icon Hello, I'm Zackmann08. Thank you for your recent contributions to Donald Voorhees (conductor). I noticed that when you added the image to the infobox, you added it as a thumbnail. In the future, please do not use thumbnails when adding images to an infobox (see WP:INFOBOXIMAGE). What does this mean? Well in the infobox, when you specify the image you wish to use, instead of doing it like this:

|image=[[File:SomeImage.jpg|thumb|Some image caption]]

Instead just supply the name of the image. So in this case you can simply do:

|image=SomeImage.jpg.

There will then be a separate parameter for the image caption such as |caption=Some image caption. Please note that this is a generic form message I am leaving on your page because you recently added a thumbnail to an infobox. The specific parameters for the image and caption may be different for the infobox you are using! Please consult the Template page for the infobox being used to see better documentation. Thanks! Information icon Please do not use thumbnails inside of infoboxes as you did to Robert Weede. Note that this is your second warning regarding this issue. Continuing to add thumbnails will be seen as disruptive editing. For more information please see WP:INFOBOXIMAGE. When adding an image, instead of doing:

|image=[[File:SomeImage.jpg|thumb|Some image caption]]

A tag has been placed on Daisy Keith, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion discussion, such as at Articles for Deletion. When a page has substantially identical content to that of a page deleted after a discusion, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. reddogsix (talk) 01:33, 8 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not remove speedy deletion notices from pages you have created yourself, as you did with Daisy Keith. If you believe the page should not be deleted, you may contest the deletion by clicking on the button that says: Contest this speedy deletion, which appears inside the speedy deletion notice. This will allow you to make your case on the talk page. Administrators will consider your reasoning before deciding what to do with the article. Thank you. reddogsix (talk) 01:37, 8 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

The article George Cooper Jr. has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No source except imdb. No evidence of notability.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Hello, Ryan Pikachu. I wanted to let you know that I’m proposing an article that you started, Cissy Wellman, for deletion because it's a biography of a living person that lacks references. If you don't want Cissy Wellman to be deleted, please add a reference to the article.

If you don't understand this message, you can leave a note on my talk page.

Thanks,

Ways to improve Don Hanmer

[edit]

Hi, I'm Atlantic306. Ryan Pikachu, thanks for creating Don Hanmer!

I've just tagged the page, using our page curation tools, as having some issues to fix. Hi, imdb and findagrave are unreliable usergenerated sources and need to be replaced, thanks

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, you can leave a comment on my talk page. Or, for more editing help, talk to the volunteers at the Teahouse.

Do you plan to add more content/references to the article? As it stands (with only obituaries as references), the page will almost certainly be deleted. power~enwiki (π, ν) 20:58, 2 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Suggestions for improving Sam Polo

[edit]

I worked a bit on your article Sam Polo adding categories. Please improve the article adding more information. Good luck with your edits! -- Bbarmadillo (talk) 16:59, 2 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Josef von Stroheim requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a real person or group of people, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Cause of death

[edit]

Could you please have a read through the documentation for Template:Infobox person? It explains when it is and isn't appropriate to include cause of death in the template, as well as other details like what to link. Nikkimaria (talk) 12:57, 12 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Again, could you please read the documentation before making edits like this? As it notes, routine illnesses should generally not be included there. You can include them and the sources in the article body. Nikkimaria (talk) 01:33, 22 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Again: when the person dies of a routine illness such as cancer or a heart attack, particularly when the person is middle-aged or older, this detail should not be added in the template. If it is reliably sourced, add it elsewhere in the article if you like. Nikkimaria (talk) 14:54, 17 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]
What about circumstances though? Take Bing Crosby for example. Granted, a man in his mid-70s dying of a heart attack isn't exactly unheard of. However, the fact it occurred so suddenly (literally without any prior warning) while he was playing golf does lend it a fair degree of notability IMO. Hamptonian92 (talk) 07:24, 24 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Most heart attacks happen without warning, when people are doing things. That doesn't make it significant that someone in his 70s died of a heart attack. Nikkimaria (talk) 13:48, 24 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited List of people buried at sea, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page George O'Brien (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

[edit]

I have noticed that you often edit without an edit summary. Please do your best to always fill in the summary field. This is considered an important guideline in Wikipedia. Even a short summary is better than no summary. An edit summary is even more important if you delete any text; otherwise, people may think you're being sneaky. Also, mentioning one change but not another one can be misleading to someone who finds the other one more important; add "and misc." to cover the other change(s). Thanks! – The Grid (talk) 19:57, 28 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Cause of death

[edit]

Hello again. As I've mentioned to you before, please don't add |death_cause= to articles using {{infobox person}} or similar where the cause of death is routine. The template documentation indicates that that parameter should not be included in those cases. If you would like to propose changing that documentation, the place to do that would be Template talk:Infobox person. Nikkimaria (talk) 01:26, 16 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
