Travis Kvapil

I just want to let you know that the re-vamping is about 75% done. However, I have two questions:

1. Currently, in his Early Career Section, there is one piece of info (that I can't find a source for) that reads: "He moved up to a Midwest regional touring series - the ARTGO series (now Midwest Challenge Series). He finished in the Top 10 in points every season from 1998 to 2000." However, on NASCAR.com, in Travis Kvapil's Bio, there is piece of info (from the same time period) that reads: "Finished fourth (2000) and 10th (1999) in the NASCAR AutoZone Elite Division, Midwest Series and scored two wins at Pikes Peak International Raceway." So, should the info be replaced or added to? 2. Should a stat box (The one that sums-up each year by rank, wins, top-5s, top-10s, etc.) be placed inside the article?

Kvapil's #32 (right) in 2006

Thanks for helping me out! I should have this article complete by Wednesday, at the latest. However, one of your recent edits on Travil Kvapil's page had you adding in the picture that stated, "Kvapil's #32 (right) in 2006" (Right). Well, not to ruin your parade or anything, but if you were to take a closer look at the photo, you will realize that the picture is actually from 2005, not 2005, which means that would be Bobby Hamilton, Jr.'s Chevrolet, and not Kvapil's, since he drove the #77 Dodge in 2005. Also, if it was 2006, the FedEx Chevy would be solid black and not half-white, half-purple. Just wanted to let you know. JediYoda1120 (talk) 04:25, 16 June 2008 (UTC)

Alright, here's my current situation: Travis Kvapil's article is about 95% done. However, before I can complete what needs to be done in order to finish, which is expanding the intro paragraph (Do You Agree?: I plan on writing a second paragraph that highlights his achievements, which includes his championship in the Truck Series during the 2003 Season.), adding some back-up references (For example, I have a source that states Kvapil drove for Bang! Racing in 2004, but it doesn't say the truck was sponsored by Line-X and Ebay.), and sourcing the info box, I need major, and I mean major, help with this, "< ref name = NAME > information </ref >". See, the problem was that I tried to follow your instructions, that you gave me, but with the set-up I had for citing (I use that formula because it is the one that is used more often now-a-days on Wikipedia.), every time, in red bold letters, a message, that said, "Invalid Cite," appeared. So, please, if you can, help me out. By the way, since the article is just about complete, could you re-read the article and tell me how well you like it? I believe I covered all of the major points in Kvapil's career and filled in the gaps with the info that makes the article flow smoothly and doesn't make a reader, that doesn't know much about NASCAR, take his hand, put it his head, scratch it, and ponder, "Huh?" I was actually about to delete this article when you removed the speedy tag. I did read one of the VH1 articles that were referenced at the end of the article, and found this direct quote: "While he hadn't yet attained widespread popularity..." -- which seemed to me to be a classic definition of someone who didn't meet the notability guidelines. However, I thought I'd offer you the opportunity to perhaps fill in this article further, or give me the benefit of your thinking, if you cared to do that. Quick question

What the deal is, is that I uploaded a video game cover, and I had the wrong copyright tag on it. I looked through wiki's copyright policy, and I noticed that album covers can be used, as long as you are talking about an album. Can the same be true for video game covers as well? Actually, the reason I ask is because I forgot to follow a philosophy I developed several years ago: "Don't help anyone, with anything, ever." No matter what I do (or don't do) I catch flack. BTW, Racing in Illinois was not the article I wrote that survived AfD. None of my articles slated for deletion have survived. Illinois race car drivers, and List of illinois race Drivers were my 2 articles that were deleted. Racing in Illinois was never nominated, or should I say has not yet been nominated? bringing something to an admin's attention

i don't mean to bother you with this, but an admin involved with the motorsports articles is probably the person to talk to...

while browsing wikipedia recently i stumbled across some strange edits made by user "Canadian Cup". at first glance, this all seems to be vandalism. the user has created a group of pages (and apparently one other user page, as an article) and edits pertaining to a "Canadian Cup" stock car racing series. it looks somewhat legit at first, until noticing a few drivers' full names are "biff", "salt", "fluffy", and "breakfast", not to mention a Canadian series claiming to compete at daytona during speedweeks... they've made a few pages for drivers, which contain nothing but an infobox, and use the "cup series" fields to provide the probably-bogus stats. the drivers are also claimed to drive for Sprint Cup teams, who obviously do not actually field cars for any type of series.

even if the series were to exist, typing it into a search engine brings up no results at all, so it would pretty much fail notability anyway. and as a side note, edits made by this user on some other articles has been vandalism.

again, sorry to bug you with this, but i figured nominating all the articles for deletion one by one would be pointless compared to bringing it to an admin's attention, given the amount of editing being done. thanks for your time. --MP 103 06 (talk) 23:38, 20 June 2008 (UTC)

Hi! You probably remember me from the Indy 500 results table, but I am Meisfunny from Wikipedia:WikiProject American Open Wheel Racing and I was wondering if we could use your bot to do the introductions of minor 2007 IndyCar Series races. Wiki projects

Rb, I was perusing Leadfoot (computer game), and I stumbled across the discussion page. It seems as though it has been stated that it is within the scope of WikiProject Video games. What all is entailed with joining that project, and/or nominating the other Ratbag PC game that does not have that tag on it's discussion page (Dirt Track Racing: Sprint Cars)?

I am doing this because some sources, such as this one refer to them as pop punk, not 'Christian pop punk.' I'm not disputing that they are also 'Christian pop punk.' So when some say they are Christian pop punk and others pop punk what is wrong with having 'punk rock' in the lead? That is more neutral and accurately describes the band, all sources agree on the punk part. I just don't like seeing one genre plucked out of the infobox and put in the lead like that. I see this on wikipedia a lot, a lot of the articles have Christian in the lead directly beside their genre when the band isn't even in the Christian genre, but merely Christians in a band. You don't ever see 'atheist rock' or 'Jewish rock' in the lead just because the members are of that religion. Landon1980 (talk) 05:59, 27 June 2008 (UTC)

testing new status template

Hi RB - check it out - as per the discussion at WT:DYK#Solution for delays in DYK updates, I've created 3 test model template (albeit rudimentary; feel free to improve design): {{DYKUpdateRED}}, {{DYKUpdateGreen}}, {{DYKUpdateYellow}}.

Attributing photos

I'm writing a new article, and a few photos I would like to use to illustrate the article, are yours. I noticed that you stated that they could be used on wiki, provided they were attributed to you. What would you suggest I put as an attribute to credit you with the photos. BTW, I think those vintage racers are the same ones that come down to race at Macon Speedway once or twice a year.

I'm looking for some current pix of the UMP big block mods (formerly DIRT mods), if you know where I can find some, or if you have some...

About the vintage mods at Macon, I haven't gotten to see them in person, but I saw some pix on Macon's site. That #3 looks awfully familiar for some reason or another.

BTW...can you refresh my memory of what DIRT stands for.....I can't find them online anymore. All I can find is their new UMP pages. As far as references, I have a few copies of Circle Track here (for the ASA Mods section), and some online articles and/or websites to go off of for the rest. I'm trying to get more pix for our project, but with a dial-up connection, it takes a while to search through them. BTW, why didn't you mention the "super modified" pix you had on flikr? I might have to add another section to the project!!

On the citations, the only place I'm lacking citations is in the history section. Everywhere else has at least 1 per paragraph (too bad most of the sections are only 1 paragraph).

Alan Kulwicki

I don't understand why you reverted the edit that removed Sprint Cup Series from the article and wikilinked Winston Cup Series directly to it. Could you explain please. Why does the "reader have to know" when Alan Kulwiki never had anything to do with the Sprint Cup Series; he competed in Winston Cup. To include Sprint Cup in this article causes more confusion, not less, especially among those who do not follow NASCAR as I have for the past 20 years. Truthanado (talk) 02:06, 29 June 2008 (UTC)

It would be interesting to see what comments the Wikimunnity would have if someone were to change the Manchester United article (and those of other English football teams) to change all occurrences of "Premier League" to "Premier League (now the Barclay's Premier League)". Just because the sponsor changes does not mean all of the pre-sponsor references to it have to change; that's one of the main purposes of wikilinks and redirects. Oh, thanks! I really appreciate that. :) After I recently learned more about the DYK process, I've been submitting a couple of DYKs and helping out with the updates, which I enjoy doing. As for the Matthew West (musician) DYK, I've found that it's certainly a lot easier to start ground-up with an article if it doesn't have much content to begin with, so there's not the initial organization and cleanup that needs to be done. And actually, I've decided to try and aim to get that one to GA level, which would be my first GA, however. How bogus is this?

Today was to be the 27th running of the Herald and Review 100. Both the H&R (online and in print) and Macon Speedway's site hyped the heck out of it, but there is no real information to use on the article. Oh well!! At least the rain-out gave me a chance to go in there, do a bit of editing, and do a whole bunch of citing!! Take a gander at it when you get a chance. I think you might like the changes!! Photoreq in Wisconsin

Hi Royalbroil -- Thanks for the note about photos being available for RHPs and RHDs in Wisconsin. It's great that you have been collecting and posting photos for a while now. I think you must have been commenting about my putting photoreq on some of the Wisconsin's 39 sites in List of National Historic Landmarks in Wisconsin, because i focus mostly on the RHPs that are NHLs.

I just quickly reviewed List of RHPs in WI and its related county-specific lists and found one pic, for North Hall at University of Wisconsin, to add to the List of NHLs in WI and to its own article, which i just did. Also, i went through the town articles linked from List of NHLs in WI, and found some photos of historic plaques available for Namur, but i am not really psyched about using any of those. I would prefer a picture of Namur's historic area, itself.

On that List of NHLs in WI, a list of 39 NHLs, could you identify for me any others for which photos are available? I would very much like to add them to their own articles, and to that list.

Also, about the List of RHPs in WI, i would be glad to help convert county sections into table format, as has been done for Barron, Burnett, Polk counties so far. That format is nice because it allows for, and effectively calls for, photos of each RHP. Also it provides latitude and longitude coordinates. I just added a Google map link to the top, so you can click on that and see the locations of all those having coordinates added already. There's a tool available which generates the table from NRIS data, with coordinates, for any specific county. doncram (talk) 16:01, 7 July 2008 (UTC)

Thanks for the followup. Oh, well, I thought you were setting a task for me, to go through my past articles, and i was just trying to go along gamely with that, rather than grumbling.... :) Actually i found one further pic, another one of the University of Wisconsin sites, so that makes 2 pics found in the exercise, well worth the effort, so i am glad you stirred me this way. Funny it turned out you were prompted by Main Street Commercial Historic District (Reedsburg, Wisconsin), which i created very stubbily, probably only in response to someone else who wanted to delete the disambiguation page Main Street Commercial Historic District. I have defended several such disambiguation pages listing NRHP sites which all were temporarily red-links from AFD attacks, by creating articles on the quick.

Anyhow, great that creating tables in the List of RHPs in WI would solve the problem and be an improvement that works for you. By the way, I personally really like the Google map link usage of site coordinates, i think it adds tremendously to list-articles of RHPs. For two rather well-elaborated examples to which i contributed, see new articles List of RHPs in Chicago and List of octagon houses. I'll do some more table-adding to List of RHPs in WI, then. Vandalism is a strong word. I'd call all of their edits on the article "non-constructive" whether or not they are the same person. They might be new and don't know what goes on here. They don't have a good grasp on what belongs in an encyclopedia. Royalbroil 05:03, 8 July 2008 (UTC)

NTPA

Thanks for the rating on my NTPA article. Unfortunately, I'm not close to finishing it. I'm in the process of getting ahold of an NTPA rulebook from one of my neighbors, and searching like crazy for some more pix to complete the article. Once I get the rulebook, it shouldn't take me much more than an afternoon to complete the writing phase.

Yea. The class was just added in the past few days. I opposed it because I was concerned that WikiProjects assessment scales would become out of date (like you indicated) and contributors would need to spend the time to reassess their articles in a time when WikiProject time has greatly diminished. Besides a couple of little things that I'm basically done working on, it seems to me that this article is in decent shape for a GAN. Hope I'm not doing this prematurely and that the article is expanded enough and doesn't have any major issues. :) And I'm not sure if the quote box works well or not with the "Musical career" section, since I don't really know a lot about if that type of layout works good with the context, although it doesn't seem like a huge deal. a little help from an admin, please?

I'm not sure what I've done to this person, considering they're a new user that I've not talked to, but evidently they have it out for me. "Pflipper73" reverted a relevant edit i made to the Kevin Lepage article, and has continued to undo it each time I've corrected it. Apparently by what they have on their user page (well, had, they blanked it while i was typing this), they intend to undo every edit i make no matter what it is, if it changes something they wrote... after i pointed out the "If you don't want your writing to be edited mercilessly by others, do not submit it" rule to them, they started to remove content from the Lepage article. they've also started to threaten me, though not in any violent way. i would go through and leave the proper warning messages on their talk page, but it's pretty obvious they're not going to listen to anything i try to say to them. could you help out here? i don't know if they've done anything to be banned or suspended for, but just getting them to stop would be great. I'd appreciate it. also probably worth noting that they removed this section from this page here once as well, and is likely to do it again. --MP 103 06 00:12, 13 July 2008 (UTC)

I actually thoroughly researched this (or tried to do my best) before nominating the article for GA. Of course, Peer reviews shouldn't be open while nominating an article for FAC, but it doesn't seem to be the same with GA nominations – as far as I could tell, there's nothing in the rules that's against having a PR and GAN open simultaneously. I decided to list it at GAN yesterday just to go ahead and get it in queue, although in the meantime I'm still open to other editor's comments at the PR. Unless there's any issues with doing so, I plan on leaving the PR open for a little while (perhaps until the article receives a GA review), since, from the way I see it, there's no conflict with any of the GAN rules/guidelines.

No problem. :) And actually, after seeing a typical backlog and the suggestion at the top of WP:PR, I already gave someone else a peer review for their article – not a completely thorough review, but noting on several issues and comments of things I noticed. Since you have been so helpful and instrumental in helping write the article, I will give you the honor of naming it. Do we want to go with Modified (racing), Modified racing, Modifieds, or what? LMK what you want to name it, and I'll move it tomorrow (July 14, 2008).

BTW, great info in the articles you provided, but I'm not quite sure where/how to incorperate the info, especially the info on the SK Mods. There wasn't any rules there for the SK Mods, so my techinal expertise in converting racing rules to everyday English is lost. I'd love to know more about them, like the chassis specs, tire specs, etc.

The article Modified racing has been published. I ended up using your links as Further reading. As long as the other editors stick to the format we started, this could really grow to an absolutely HUGE article!!

A note on the ITPA page, I Googled ITPA (not because I didn't know what their url was already), but the only links I got besides their site, was for International Truck Parts Association, some link about Independent telecommunications, a link for Idaho Technology Portfolio Assessment, and a bunch of other such nonsense. Sadly, the ITPA hold events in the downstate counties, most of them have newspapers that either do not have websites, or couldn't tell you what a motorsports event was. Heck, the Breeze-Courier (newspaper of my hometown) didn't start carrying NASCAR news items until 2007. The ONLY NASCAR news story that was carried in the B-C prior to 2007 was on the death of Dale Earnhardt. Even that was not much more than a mention. Even Taylorville's own favorite son, Randy Eller, didn't get mentions until 2007. Out of the 5 or so years that racing was held at the Christian County Fairgrounds, I don't think the results appeared in the B-C more than twice. It's really sad, that growing up, I had to get my fix of NASCAR, and other racing news, months removed from the event by means of racing magazines, because the local media couldn't tell you the difference between a "stock" car, and a "stock car". Henry H. Huson House and Water Tower

Hi, i added a table to the List of RHPs in WI for Sheboygan County, to accomodate your new pics. Confusing for me was the "Hudson" label in 2 photos, of a house and water tower, probably relating to Henry H. Huson House and Water Tower in Plymouth. Not sure if it is NRIS misspelling or what. On google, I find there is a Gilbert Huson House in Plymouth, which is a bed&breakfast. Anyhow, i created the article to make a place for the pictures and to hold any discussion. Either the article name needs fixing or the pics need relabelling there now. Can you address this? I'll "watch" it, can discuss further there. Yea, the water tower pic turned out great. I was able to work with the light. The house was hidden by those trees, so I wasn't happy with them. I opened a discussion on the talk page. Towns

Hi! lately I had been changing some terminology concerning the towns of Wisconsin. Some users had been saying that a village cannot be located within a town- that they are surrounded by a town. I am trying to keep this terminology uniformed for the political subdivisions of Wisconsin.Otherwise, we would have to make a massive change with all the articles about Wisconsin towns, etc. Also I questioned the accuracy of saying an village is surrounded by a town instead of saying an village is located within a town or is partially located in 2 different towns.Thanks-RFD (talk) 20:39, 20 July 2008 (UTC)

That's a silly reason for an argument/discussion: it's just looking at the same thing 2 different ways. It's hard to come up with a uniform way to say it because sometimes a village/city is located completely within a town, sometimes it is on the border of two towns, and other times it is between 2+ villages/cities, etc. Royalbroil 21:13, 20 July 2008 (UTC)

Also I came acrosse an article about Glidden, Wisconsin- an editor made Glidden a city but it is an unincorpotaed community in Ashland County, Wisconsin. I'd say yes. You should be able to find multiple independent resources that talk specifically about this major hub. U.S. Route 12 is a very poor redirect as it is one of the many state and U.S. highways that make up the parkway. I did take pictures of it, and there's at least one in the Wisconsin Dells article. I was hoping that you could help me choose the appropriate copyright. Marquette University does retain the rights to the images, but they are not easily indexed online or accessible. Marquette does require that the photographs are attributed back to the archives, but that is all. I'm looking to contribute a good number of articles to Wikipedia, as I do have access to a vast amount of information in our archives so I was hoping for a few quick pointers, and if you could help me select the right copyrights. My summer is going well, except I still can't find a job after looking hard for the past year. That's been real frustrating, especially considering I did so well at FVTC and I have on-the-job experience in IT from most of the 1990s. I had a lot of fun going to the various racetracks in the eastern half of Wisconsin! I grabbed some pictures of Registered Historic Places en route. I undid the "merge" (which actually never happened) by reverting the article before the redirect and text changes which confused others. You definitely do not owe my an apology about the town mergers issues. Discussing things is part of being a Wikipedian! I added the town to the county template, added its official website and moved it to the current naming system(Hartford (town), Wisconsin), so hopefully everything should be done. According to the DeLorme Wisconsin Atlas & Gazetteer Winnebago, Wisconsin is in the atlas. Also it does have a zipcode- I believe the Oshkosh Mental Health Institute is listed as being in Winnebago, Wisconsin. As for my shoulder the impingement is a painful form of bursatis.

Good idea. The citation should end any questions about the location down the road. I keep an older copy of their Wisconsin book in my car so that I won't get lost when driving to racetracks, or if their are road construction detours. We never go on a trip without the latest copy. We can take any back road no matter where we are in the state without getting lost. Checking out the back roads is a great way to see what an area is really like. Your comment about Erdman, Wisconsin was interesting. Lots of these unincorporated communities do get gobble up by bigger cities or villages. The Roman Catholic Dioceses of Wisconsin-the bishops

Hi! I was able to start articles for most of the Roman Catholic Bishops of the Madison, Superior, and Green Bay dioceses that had red links. I also did the article on Archbishop Kiley of the Milwaukee Archdiocese. The only bishop I have not done and I have some relunctance to do an article was that of Bishop Robert Banks of the Green Bay Diocese. Bishop Banks was auxiliary bishop in the Boston Archdiocese under Cardinal Bernard Law. And there was some serious allegations about the sexual abuse scandal concerning Bishop Banks and Cardinal Law. Therefore, I am content to let someone else do that article. One item-I have a pretty good knowledge about the history of the Roman Catholic Church in Wisconsin being Roman Catholic myself so this help alot.I am also part of the WikiProject Catholicism. I enjoy doing this. I am quite familiar with Bishop Banks, as I've been an active member of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Green Bay my whole life, including his whole tenure. There unfortunately does need to be something about his role in covering up the the Boston diocese sex abuse cases in his article to keep it balanced. It was a huge controversy here. I started 2 additional articles of Roman Catholic Bishops who were from Wisconsin but ended up elsewhere: Bishop Jerome J. Hastrich was auxiliary bishop of Madison and went to the Diocese of Gallup in New Mexico and Bishop Mark Francis Schmitt who was auxiliary bishop of the Green Bay Diocese who became Bishop of Marquette, Michigan. I wouldn't worry about doing articles on Bishops, for you don't need inherent notability if you can provide multiple independent sources. That should be easy to find in almost all cases. In October of 2007, one of the editors from WikiProject Catholicism of which I am also part of informed myself and others that someone wanted to delete some articles of 3 Roman Catholic bishops from Florida. All 3 were auxiliary bishops- 2 of them became Bishops of Dioceses in their own right.According to my talk page I believe this was around October 26-27, 2008. Many thanks- Bishops Hastrich&Schmitt started out as auxiliary bishops but became Bishops in their own right with their own dioceses. Also there an article about a Polish born auxiliary bishop from the Archdiocese of Milwaukee of whom thw Vatican had to put in because of discontent within the Milwaukee Archdiocese because the Polish Catholics did not like the German Catholic Bishops of the Archdiocese. School Hill, Wisconsin

One of the editors who is new started an article about School Hill, Wisconsin. The title in the article was originally Schoolhill but accordingly to the DeLorme Wisconsin Gazetter&Atlas, the correct spelling is:School Hill, Wisconsin, so I changed it. As to your comments about the ambiance at DYK being unpleasant, yes I agree with you. This is the first article I've submitted to DYK and the only interaction I've had with the DYK talk page, and doing so attracted unpleasant extreme picking at something on which I'd worked hard. I've been fortunate to have had few experiences at AfD because I'm very careful about only picking things that easily are notable and/or have lots of reliable sources. I do understand the "ganged up upon" comment.

I hope that you don't avoid DYK just because of the problems at its talk page, because that only discusses a small portion of the total nominations. The overwhelming majority of DYK hooks pass through easily and without discussion. There are lots of high-quality people associated with DYK and only a small number that aren't as good. Things would be excellent if they stopped fighting with each other and would concentrating on working together because everyone is good overall. Realize that it takes some time to understand DYK nominations and rules, but after that it's been a good experience. Royalbroil 15:48, 19 August 2008 (UTC)

Hi! I came across an article Schauer Arts & Activities Center in Hartford, Wisconsin. There were some problems with the article Conflict of Interest, Copyright Violations.I left a message with the editor about COI. I reduced the article to a stub. I'm on the fence with this article. I wouldn't argue to keep or delete it. On one hand, I believe that all art centers and concert venue should be notable, but I don't see reliable sources online. Future RfA

Hi RB, thanks a lot for the comments on my talkpage and the RFA, and for a future nom offer. :-) I'd be really glad to have you as a nominator since, as you were saying, you've known me and my contribs since November, and it's nice to know your noms pretty well. Vandalism

While perusing my watched pages, I came across an edit that was kind of hokey, so I checked the author. Low and behold this user had been busy vandalizing many pages over the last few days. Can you please check out User:76.112.193.18. He's been warned and blocked before (User_talk:76.112.193.18), but evidently hasn't learned his lesson. Lockdown (2008)

Thank you for taking over the review. I have changed the sentence in the background. I've done my best with the pictures. Another guy who has helped me on the article this past week has informed a editor who uploaded most of the pictures that are in the article about you problems with his pictures. The references 56 and 57 are actually two different pages. They are the charts to billboard on July 12 and July 19. They just look a like. The only thing left is for the uploader of the images to fix the Joe picture and the Lethal picture. I've placed categories in the Cage picture and the Booker T picture on Commons. Thanks, and again thank you for reviewing it. I'm going to fix a few things brung up in the review of The Great American Bash (2005) and SummerSlam (2003) reviews. SummerSlam made it to FA and Lockdown and SummerSlam aren't that different. I'm already working on it in my sandbox. The main difference will come in the event section from what it is right now. Then I'll place it up for peer review like the editor who got SummerSlam to FA told me. I'm already replacing a few refs that were never really proven reliable with ones that are reliable. Marathon County, Wisconsin

Royalbroil-I went through each of the Wisconsin counties and change the heading from Cities and towns to Cities, villages, and towns where applicable. I did the same for Marathon County, Wisconsin but ran into problems with the format:the unincorporated communities are within the Cities, viilages, and towns section and they should be in their own section like the other Wisconsin counties.I try putting them within their own section and it did not work out well. The Wisconsin Historical Society might have something. I am a little amuse about "German-speaking Prussian Roman Catholics." I always associated Prussia with Martin Luther and the Lutheran Church. The Holyland area is renowned even today for having extremely high percentage of German-descent Roman Catholics. I grew up on the edge and most people in that area are distant relatives of mine. There are almost no Lutherans except for people that came to the area from different locations. Most people spoke German, and any people didn't even learn English until around the 1930s. moving "List of Registered Historic Places in ___" to another name

You may not be aware, but there was considerable discussion and no consensus reached in a previous proposal to rename articles of the form "List of Registered Historic Places in ___", initiated by Motorrad-67. Please see new discussion at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject National Register of Historic Places#Naming discussion for "List of Registered Historic Places in ...". I don't have control over this, and what the decision should be although i have expressed my opinions. But in the meantime, I would appreciate that you refrain from further renamings. Sorry, I assumed that Motoradd-67 was moving with consensus. He had done a copy and paste job, so I had to fix it to comply with the GDFL. I don't have an opinion either way as what is the correct way to name the articles. Feel free to move the articles back because moving the main Wisconsin and Dane County articles back at least makes everything consistent. I wonder, could you further help by moving back List of Registered Historic Places in Arizona, which was done by cut and paste (losing the edit history)? And although i further moved List of Registered Historic Places in New York to another name, i agree it should be moved back to the original name too, pending discussion. I saw that you had edited all of those Wisconsin county templates, but then I noticed that you edited something else on them. So I tried them manually, then found more speed and ease when I fired up the AWB. I just got done with all of them. I do wonder if CDPs should be listed before or after unincorporated communities. A CDP is an unincorporated community with bounds set for statistical purposes by the Census Bureau, and recognised as such by the GNIS. Because it has a little more official recognition than other unincorporated communities, it rightly belongs above them; this is the method followed in almost every state. Charles Tidwell photograph

I just wanted to let you know that as I was scanning in some of my father's old racing photos last night, I found a stamp on the back of several of them that is copyrighted to Drinnon Photography. I contacted the Drinnon family today and was told that it was sold to The Macon Telegraph and directed to contact them. I spoke to a Mr. Marshall, photo editor, there and he is giving me written permission to use the photos that I have both on my website and also to use the smaller one of my father here on the Wikipedia site. He said that the photos have all been turned over to the Washington Library in Macon, Georgia now anyways and are public record, so as long as I am not using them for monetary gain it won't be a problem. What do I need to do once I receive his written permission in order to upload the picture without having it removed or disputed again? Thanks! Calumet County Parks and NRHP sites

Please do go ahead and revise how the NRHP site wording shows in the Calumet County Parks article. I believe you in your knowledge that this one park must be the one. But, the NRHP designation does not have to cover all of the park, and without documentation asserting that the park is itself listed on the NRHP is not right, either. It is possible that some parts of the NRHP designation are outside the park, too, to me, afar. So I was editing to back away from what i thought were unjustified assertions, and maybe went too far. How about you request the NRHP documentation? You would most likely receive a redacted version not showing exact locations, but it would still clarify for you, and would perhaps make it clear if the NRHP site is very small and cannot be the entire park, for example. Note, I also started a separate article about the NRHP site, which is wikipedia notable on its own, and can hold an NRHP infobox that doesn't seem proper for the park article. joey lagano
