User talk:Rogerboas
Welcome!
Hello, Rogerboas, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, your edit to Roger Boas does not conform to Wikipedia's Neutral Point of View policy (NPOV). Wikipedia articles should refer only to facts and interpretations that have been stated in print or on reputable websites or other forms of media.
There's a page about the NPOV policy that has tips on how to effectively write about disparate points of view without compromising the NPOV status of the article as a whole. If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the New contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{helpme}}
on your user page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few other good links for newcomers:
- The five pillars of Wikipedia
- How to edit a page
- Help pages

- How to write a great article
- Manual of Style
I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Where to ask a question or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome!
If you are, in fact, Roger Boas (or a close friend, family member or fan), you should be sure to read Wikipedia:Neutral point of view and Wikipedia:Conflict of interest before editing any articles about Boas or directly addressing his public service. --Hjal (talk) 07:43, 29 October 2011 (UTC)

[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed content from Roger Boas. When removing content, please specify a reason in the edit summary and discuss edits that are likely to be controversial on the article's talk page. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the content has been restored, as you can see from the page history. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia, and if you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. Hello!
[edit]Hi, Jena. I just responded to your post at the Conflict of Interest Noticeboard. Obviously, your user name is RogerBoas, the subject of the article in which you have been editing. Also obviously, you signed your post as "Jena" meaning that you are not Roger Boas. This causes a little bit of an issue. According to our username policy, this account may be blocked for this reason. You can either create a new account or change your username if you'd like.
On a side note, do you have a connection to Roger Boas? If so, saying so would not prohibit you from editing the article but would make it clear to other Wikipedians what's going on.
As I stated at WP:COIN, if you have any questions, just ask and I'll do my best to answer them. OlYeller21Talktome 21:33, 31 October 2011 (UTC)
Your recent edits
[edit]Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You could also click on the signature button or located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 23:02, 31 October 2011 (UTC)
